Job DescriptionThe team is looking for a talented and experienced individual to lead the marketing and commercial activities of our Maviret medication for the treatment of hepatitis C. Through innovative tactics and a team-oriented approach, the Brand Manager Virology will contribute to AbbVie establishing itself as a leader. This position is based in Montreal (Saint-Laurent) and reports to the Business Unit Head, Virology and Established Products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Successfully implementing the commercial marketing plan.
- Develvoping, implementing and measuring tactics aligned to strategies identified in the brand plan for Maviret.
- Managing and strategically spending the Advertising and Promotion (A&P) budget.
- Taking the lead role in monthly and annual financial processes, working in close collaboration with forecasting team to deliver accurate and timely output.
- Communicating strategic goals, positioning, messaging and tactical plans to internal customers, field sales force and external agencies.
- Analyzing market issues and opportunities and communicate findings to brand team and to senior management.
- Planning and developing sales promotional materials and coordinating field team meetings.
- Support the team for the plan and coordination of the national sales meeting and cycle meetings.
- Ensure successful collaboration between agency of record and AbbVie internal partners (advertising, Patient relations).
- Work collaboratively with external vendors.
Qualifications
Education/Experience required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Science or related field is required.
- Relevant marketing experience with a proven track record within the biotech/pharmaceutical industry:
- Marketing experience within a relevant therapeutic area is a strength (minimum two years).
- Experience with digital/virtual programs deployment is an asset.
- Ability to think and plan strategically (work plans, activities, timelines, targeting) and operating with execution excellence.
Essential skills and abilities:
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.).
- Must be at ease with technology (the use of various tools/systems to perform day-to-day tasks).
- Travel required about 30% of the time.
- Valid driver’s license and passport.
Key leadership competencies:
- Drive & communicate vision and strategy.
- Excel in marketing by translating a very precise positioning into marketing tactics and sales force execution.
- Contribute to the brand team as an effective and genuine team player.
- Prioritize decisions and activities to ensure efficient use of resources and address critical issues impacting the brand.
- Prepare and deliver presentations to the different stakeholders; adapt key messages to the audience.
- Drive and Manage Projects.
- Propose new and innovative marketing solutions.

In light of our rapid business expansion,abm is currently looking for a Lab & Production Assistant to join our expanding Virology team in the Molecular Biology Department!
The successful candidate will have plenty of opportunities for fast-track career development while being part of a highly diverse, innovative and interactive cohort of scientists and colleagues. In this role at abm, were seeking an individual with excellent communication skills, critical thinking ability, and a strong interest in virology to help us advance our work.
The Role:
Working with the team leader, you will maintain inventory and manage order tracking. You will forecast and plan requirements with the team leader to ensure that inventory for internal use is in place to meet project demands, and communicate effectively with managers, supervisors, and other departments. You are a competent and motivated team player with demonstrated ability to provide effective quality assurance with lab techniques in the department. On the R&D side, you will have the opportunity to help develop new technologies and techniques for new product lines and services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee inventory organization while maintaining adequate stock levels to ensure uninterrupted workflow
- Handle production duties such as viral transfection, purification, and amplification
- Conduct quality assurance tests involving qPCR and mammalian cell culture
- Assess and develop new technologies and techniques to expand and enhance product lines and services for virus-related products
- Prepare products for shipment and compile all required documentation
- Take part in general lab maintenance to ensure a safe, clean and well-equipped working environment for the team
*This is a fast-paced, production-focused role that may require schedule flexibility, including occasional weekend work to meet critical project and production timelines. Candidates should be prepared to:
- Adapt to changing priorities in response to production demands.
- Be available for scheduled weekend shifts or extended hours during peak periods.
- Collaborate with team members across shifts to ensure smooth continuity of lab operations.

Qualifications:
- Education: Minimum: High school diploma with 2 years working experience; Associate Degree or post-secondary diploma in Virology, Molecular Biology, Life Sciences, or a related field; or Bachelor's (BSc) with relevant coursework; or equivalent combination of education and at least 2 years of relevant industry experience.
- Technical Proficiency: Solid foundation in virology and molecular biology techniques is essential; hands-on experience with cell culture, molecular cloning, RT-PCR, and virus production is a strong advantage.
- Analytical and Detail-Oriented: Exceptional organizational skills with keen attention to detail in experimental procedures, data analysis, and documentation to ensure high-quality outputs.
