Job Description
The Store Development team is responsible for the architectural layout planning, store design, and construction of all retail locations in México, inclusive of mainline stores, pop-up stores, outlets, and Alternate Channels innovative concept stores. We deliver on the company's strategic growth plans through highly efficient operating standards and the focus of sweat, grow, connect as manifested through the execution of the brand's pinnacle expression: the physical retail store. Through clarity, accuracy, and efficiency we support the business ambitions and enhance guest experience while delivering consistent design queues to create and reinforce a strong brand identity.
This role is ideal for a seasoned leader with experience in mature, global organizations and a strong background in project and program management. The Manager will oversee all functions of store design and construction in México, ensuring cohesive timelines, scalable processes, and strategic alignment with global standards. They will be responsible for transforming complex, ambiguous work into clean, repeatable systems and tools that support future growth. The ideal candidate is both a strategic thinker and a hands-on executor-able to zoom out to shape long-term vision and zoom in to guide detailed implementation. They will also play a key role in mentoring and upskilling the local team, helping to elevate capabilities and lead the transition to new systems and tools.
Key responsibilities and duties include:
- Oversee the portfolio of projects from site identification through design and construction, delivering to key milestones and metrics while staying within the approved financial plan.
- Lead the development and implementation of scalable processes and tools to support the design and construction team, ensuring alignment with global standards.
- Manage cross-functional coordination across internal and external partners, ensuring timely and high-quality execution of design and construction packages.
- Drive strategic planning and execution for store openings, optimizations, renovations, and relocations throughout México.
- Ensure all projects meet brand standards, building codes, health and safety regulations, and are delivered on time and on budget.
- Lead the transition to new systems and tools, supporting the evolution of store development practices in México.
- Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of learning, ownership, and continuous improvement.
- Present and liaise with external stakeholders, including landlords and vendors, to gain approvals and ensure alignment.
- Report progress and updates to senior leadership, including the Senior Director, México and SVP of Strategic Enablement and New Business

- Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or equivalent experience within a construction environment
- Minimum 10 years' experience in construction, design, and/or project management.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in leading a team in execution of retail store design and construction, ideally within a mature, global organization. - used to multiple scaled projects at once in a production timeline (ex. Hospitality, Retail)
- Proven expertise in project and program management, process design, and operational scalability.
- Fluent in AutoCAD, Acrobat Pro and Excel
- Strong understanding of local building codes and construction practices.
- Experience with vendor management and cross-functional collaboration.
- Demonstrated success in leading complex initiatives from strategy through execution
- Ability to lead at both macro (strategy) and micro (execution) levels.
- Skilled at transforming ambiguous work into structured, scalable processes.
- Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities; able to teach by doing.
- Excellent communication skills in Spanish and English
- Highly organized, proactive, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and driving clarity across teams.
- Experience in global organizations and capability building across region - Photoshop, Illustrator, SketchUp, and Smartsheet are a bonus.

A day in the life as an Assistant Store Leader.
+ In collaboration with the Store Leader, manage and delegate workload and ensure execution of plans and strategies across the store and in assigned area.
+ Partner with the Store Leader to establish and communicate all critical metrics and expectations within the store, including but not limited to sales, visual, operations, safety, loss prevention, human resources, payroll/scheduling and training.
+ Coach, teach, train, recognize and manage all aspects of performance and development for all store associates to encourage professional growth and build a bench of talent.
+ Focus on promoting and driving sales as they pertain to, or are driven by, position and acting as the Leader on Duty (LOD).
+ Collaborate with Store Leader and other functional Assistant Store Leaders during new season planning and execution
+ Analyze results through reporting, translating numbers into actionable behaviors and goals in order to improve KPI results.
+ Ensure all customers are provided gracious, quick and efficient service. Set expectations and model excellent service by exhibiting a positive attitude and enthusiasm toward the job and the company to both internal and external customers in all forms of communication.
+ Communicate regularly with the management team concerning all aspects of sales, customer feedback/traffic and associate training/performance. Participate in weekly store walk-throughs with the management team and follow-up as required.
+ Stay up to date on all store initiatives and communications that are received, sharing with associates when appropriate.
