Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure proper storage and organization of goods in the distribution centre.
  • Support the receiving process by decanting products into appropriate storage bins using the advanced Ocado Smart Platform.

Requirements:

About the Role:
Our client in the manufacturing sector is seeking a dedicated Inventory Control Associate to support a transition period on their team. This is a temporary assignment with the possibility of long-term opportunities based on performance and evolving business needs.

As the Inventory Control Associate, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth management of all inventory levels and supporting the production team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. In addition to your day-to-day responsibilities, you’ll provide informal training and mentorship to an internal hire during this transition.


What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Act as a liaison between the Client Supply Chain and Production Teams, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
  • Maintain and update accurate inventory records in systems such as SAP, Nulogy, and Excel.
  • Perform physical inventory counts, cycle counts, and light lifting to move products around on pallets.
  • Verify the receipt of incoming products and materials.
  • Conduct reconciliations for completed projects and ensure accuracy of inventory documentation.
  • Monitor production line utilization, supporting 4–6 production lines (7–9 workers per line).
  • Allocate inventory to production lines 24 hours in advance and ensure put-away of inventory within 24 hours of receipt.
  • Reconcile discrepancies within 48 hours post-production.
  • Prepare daily production reports and maintain detailed logs.
  • Provide support and informal training to an internal team member transitioning into the role.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment in line with safety guidelines.


What We’re Looking For:
Minimum 3 years of experience in inventory control or a similar supply chain role.
Strong understanding of inventory best practices, including cycle counts and reconciliations.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with SAP and Nulogy is an asset.
Knowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).
Comfortable with physical demands, including standing, walking, and light lifting.
Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments with frequent last-minute changes and tight schedules.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to provide informal guidance and training.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive.


Work Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM - In office only
  • Occasional overtime as needed

Summary:

The Inventory Clerk II position processes the documentation and coordinates the movement of inventory and raw materials. Duties include material picks, material transfers and the completion and compiling of material usage documentation. This position will be responsible for physical inventory management including cycle counting and inventory management within the ERP software.   • Visually inspect company property. materials and assets.

  • Handle materials – within the shop and outdoors as necessary.
  • Responsible for inventory movements and locations within Business Central, including bin locations.

  • Analyze and resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Create and maintain inventory usage reports.
  • Assist with inventory shipping/receiving transactions in Business Central.
  • Receive shipments with Business Central.
  • Perform inventory outputs on production orders as required.
  • Active participation in FET’s health, safety and environment program, including training and meetings.

  • Maintain good housekeeping practices.

Skills/Knowledge

  • Ability to read and understand production schedules.
  • Familiar with raw material identification practices including labelling and heat trace numbering.
  • Works efficiently independently as well as, in a team environment.
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Capable of managing multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
  • Intermediate computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and experience within ERP systems such as Business Central.

Education

About the role

As an Inventory Control Clerk at RBR, you will play a crucial role in supporting our supply chain management and operations teams. Become a member of our specialized inventory management team! Solve problems and play an essential role in the smooth running of the store. Your autonomy and skills will enable you to acheive your objectives ans be successful with us!

Your role:
  • Generate and analyze various reports such as sales margin analysis, purchase order activity, and checkout error records
  • Enter and adjust store use inventory, cycle counting batches, and other inventory-related data
  • Conduct price override adjustments
  • Collect, receive authorization, input, and file SIU forms
  • Troubleshoot IT issues with store operations
  • Other related tasks to ensure the store runs smoothly
What we're looking for:
  • Ability to maintain accurate data integrity
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and provide support to other team members
  • Excellent listening and communication skills
  • Prior retail, warehouse receiving, and logistic experience an asset
