As a

**Business Process Improvement Specialist**

, you'll be responsible for analyzing, documenting, and improving workflows across all departments. You'll partner with leaders and teams to identify inefficiencies, implement improvements, and support adoption through training and communication. Your work will ensure that our processes are not only efficient and compliant but also foster a culture of continuous improvement.



**Responsibilities**

- Develop and maintain a centralized Process Library of documented workflows and SOPs.
- Conduct process assessments to identify inefficiencies, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Lead cross-functional improvement initiatives (including Lean Six Sigma projects) to deliver measurable outcomes.
- Redesign workflows to enhance clarity, reduce cycle times, and improve productivity.
- Create training guides, checklists, and visual workflows to support adoption.
- Facilitate workshops and provide coaching to ensure new processes are understood and followed.
- Define KPIs, build dashboards, and provide regular performance reports to leadership.
- Support the integration of digital tools and automation into business processes.
- Conduct and document root cause analyses for major operational issues.

**Qualifications**

- Previous experience in business process improvement, business analysis, or operations.
- Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma principles (certification an asset).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and facilitation abilities, with experience leading cross-functional initiatives.
- Proficiency with CRM or manufacturer-specific ERP software.
- Ability to learn and adapt to new software quickly.
- Post-secondary education in business administration, operations, or a related field preferred.

  • Become a subject matter expert in all of our internal AI Applications and their capabilities.
  • Apply prompt engineering and prompt engineering frameworks to optimize AI output for different business needs.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of business analyst experience. Knowledge of process management methodologies such as BPM, Lean, Six Sigma, Agile etc.
  • 2+ years of experience in AI-related roles, digital marketing, or project coordination.
  • Demonstrated expertise in prompt engineering and familiarity with prompt frameworks.
  • Consulting Experience
  • Proven ability to train individuals and teams in AI tools and workflows.
  • Strong project management skills with hands-on Jira experience.
  • Proficiency in recording and editing videos (basic to intermediate).
  • Strong understanding of AI capabilities, limitations, and ethical considerations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for creating marketing materials and training content.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in AI marketing or technology adoption campaigns.
  • Familiarity with AI tools beyond chat-based models (e.g., image generation, speech-to-text).
  • Knowledge of agile workflows and sprint planning in Jira.

**Job Overview** Reporting to the Manager, Process Improvement, as the **Process Improvement Coordinator, Manufacturing** you support the coordination of continuous improvement within the production environment by documenting workflows, analyzing bottlenecks, and initiatives that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and quality on the plant floor. You help embed Lean practices, sustain improvements, and ensure accountability for process changes across manufacturing teams.

**Your Day-to-day Responsibilities Will Include**

- Documenting and mapping manufacturing workflows, identifying inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and opportunities for standardization.
- Supporting Lean and Six Sigma initiatives on the plant floor, helping reduce waste, improve flow, and strengthen cross-department handoffs.
- Monitoring operational KPIs and provide trend reporting to the Manager, Process Improvement.
- Validating inspections, audits, and corrective actions, and ensuring accountability at the source while working directly with supervisors and leads.
- Maintaining manufacturing process documentation (checklists, SOPs, Site Docs entries) to ensure clarity and consistency.
- Coordinating improvement workshops/events with manufacturing teams, capturing outputs into actionable improvements.
- Assisting with training and adoption of new processes or standards, ensuring changes are understood and consistently applied by frontline employees.
- Identifying recurring production issues and escalating them into formal improvement projects.
- Ensuring documentation and process records are complete, accurate, compliant and audit ready.
- Sharing best practices in manufacturing efficiency and quality, helping strengthen Star’s culture of operational excellence.

- Ability to document workflows and create clear SOPs, checklists, and process maps.
- Skilled in tracking and reporting KPIs (error rates, throughput, rework, delivery).
- Knowledge of Lean tools.
