Afternoon Shift: 2pm-10pm, Monday to Friday
Forklift Operator: Reach, Counterbalance, Walkie, Swing Reach
Use a variety of material handling equipment to move products, equipment, and materials on and off trucks or throughout the facility while following all regulatory and company safety standards, policies, and procedures.
**KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ Put away palletized units by lifting forks for placement into racks above floor height
+ Pick palletized units out of rack locations above floor height and set up for outbound shipment
+ May choose and record materials, weight, counts, and condition of food items via Radio Frequency (RF) system
+ Load and unload materials on and off pallets, skids, or lifting device
+ Read and follow computerized work orders to determine quantities, types of products to be shipped and the location of requested items in the warehouse
+ Document and report damages and discrepancies to supervisors or leads
+ May need to pack, seal, and label materials/pallets for shipping using Radio Frequency (RF) scanning equipment to document and verify counts of picked items; otherwise, ensure all palletized stock is securely wrapped before placement on racks or transporting through the warehouse
+ Complete daily forklift maintenance/check sheet
+ Monitor battery charge and leave material handling equipment at the designated storage area; may need to maintain and clean batteries, depending on site
+ Alert appropriate leader of any issues with the product or materials and await directions to rectify the problem
+ Help clean and organize the warehouse at the end or throughout the shift
**ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
**MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES)**
+ Must be able to identify products through reading, interpreting, and scanning or manually inputting pallet identification numbers
+ Basic math skills
+ Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written
+ Ability to work in temperatures as low as -20 Fahrenheit/-25 Celsius in cold storage sites or up to 100 Fahrenheit/37 Celsius in dry storage sites while wearing company provided personal protective equipment and freezer gear
+ Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs./18 kgs.; weight may be more dependent upon facility
+ Ability to work a flexible work schedule and shift, including weekends if needed
+ Must be comfortable with various noise levels, at times, can be loud

Summary:
The Warehouse Associate supports the Savers vision by safely handling, separating, sorting and organizing material and goods, in our Centralized Processing Warehouse, which are then prepared for delivery to our stores.  We are hiring for multiple positions which may include:
+ Merchandise Sorters, Graders and Pricers
Essential Job Functions:
+ Responsible for separating, sorting, and processing specific merchandise
+ Responsible for supplying merchandise to various departments through the day, keeping production flowing.
+ Ability to determine what is saleable, what is recyclable and what needs to be thrown away.
+ Maintains cleanliness and organization of the workstation for safety and efficient production.
+ Ability to work safely

Working hours are Monday to Friday 7:00am-3:15pm (Full-time)
**_Your Contributions to the Organization will be:_**
+ Process all incoming or outgoing shipments and stock orders to designated locations
+ Ensure accuracy and verify quality of products being picked and received
+ Operate all types of warehouse mobile equipment; training provided
+ Sort packaged materials and process items for recycling
+ Follow company health and safety guidelines and policies
+ Ensure a clean and orderly working environment to improve overall efficiency of operations
+ Actively participate in continuous improvement projects and initiatives
**_Qualifications:_**
+ High School diploma, preferred
+ Comfortable with lifting 10lbs - 30lbs and occasionally up to 50 lbs
+ Machine operations and RF scanners experience, preferred
+ Enjoy a fast-paced environment and being active while working
+ Attention to detail while producing work with high accuracy

In this role you will receive, store, and distribute material, tool, equipment, and product within a distribution center. The DC Associate supports key initiatives of the company by successfully completing operational responsibilities, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, safety, and cost control are prioritized.

# **You will be responsible for:**

- Assembling customer orders from stock and preparing order for shipment
- Sorting and maintaining stock inventory using RF scanner
- Transferring materials from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas
- Load and unload truck orders ensuring all loads are properly secured for outbound shipment
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse
- Follow all safety procedure and policies
- Maintain inventory records using worksheets and computer software
- Maintain and care for all equipment in warehouse including forklifts
- Other duties as assigned

# **Things you will need:**

- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- One to three months related experience and/or training
- Ability to lift 55lbs regularly
- Ability to obtain forklift certification (we will train!)
- Desire to work in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail
