SUMMARY

POSITION SUMMARY
As a key member of our Winnipeg Parts Distribution Center (PDC), the Warehouse Manager's primary responsibility is to oversee and ensure that all warehouse related processes and procedures are executed per expectations. The position is responsible for the supervision of all warehouse employees while promoting a safe and positive working environment. They will also ensure all employees are working within the PDC work rules and policies and work to optimize process efficiencies.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Maintain and ensure a safe working environment in the Parts Distribution Center for all warehouse employees.
- Oversee all warehouse related processes and ensure the timely completion of daily tasks by warehouse team.
- Communicate with other departments, supervisors and staff as required to ensure information exchange.
- Conduct weekly departmental meetings with his staff to ensure communication and information is shared.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and the implementation necessary as required to ensure process efficiencies are optimized. Apply LEAN tools and methods to identify and remove waste from operations.
- Ensure maintenance schedules (preventative and scheduled) are followed as required on all operating equipment in the warehouse.
- Maintain and review the key performance indicators that are used to support all warehouse process measurements.
- Responsible to ensure maintenance of all warehouse equipment per scheduled programs and as required.
- Work on processes/issues that impact warehouse or customer service.
- Work process improvements and special projects as required.
- Assist in the Quality Assurance Inspection process of incoming goods to ensure compliance of company standards.
- Perform shipping and receiving audits on shipments of goods entering or leaving the facility.
- Responsible to ensure all key controls (ICFR Internal Controls) identified under their area of responsibility are designed and operating as outlined in the internal controls over financial reporting.
- Ensure policies and processes are established and adhered to ensure goals and objectives for all regulatory and legal requirements are met including organizational quality, environmental, health & safety programs.
- Order and control inventory levels on warehouse supplies.
- Maintain spending levels in accordance with annual financial budget.
Requirements
- 5+ years of Leadership experience in a warehouse environment; WMS and distribution experience preferred.
- Knowledge of warehouse operating equipment.
- Ability to converse in a professional manner in both written and verbal communication with strong interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel.
- Advanced organizational, multi-tasking, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Working knowledge of Oracle.
- Motivated self-starter with capabilities to lead within a fast paced, dynamic, time sensitive environment.
- Travel is required for this position.
