A well-established general contractor is seeking a Senior Project Manager with specialized experience in water and wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) construction. This is a leadership role based in Ottawa, managing large-scale municipal infrastructure projects with a strong civil component.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure projects from start to finish
- Coordinate all construction activities including scheduling, budgeting, procurement, and logistics
- Work closely with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams
- Oversee job site safety, quality control, and compliance with project specifications
- Conduct regular site visits (12 days/week); remainder of work based in the Ottawa office
- Ensure proper sequencing of trades and maintain project timelines
Requirements:
- 8+ years of construction experience with direct involvement in WWTP or related municipal infrastructure
- Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems within treatment facilities
- Experience managing complex civil scopes including excavation, caissons, shoring, and piling
- Familiarity with water pumping stations, control facilities, and treatment processes
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and adapt in a fast-paced environment

Under the direction of the Superintendent of Water works, the Waste Water Treatment Plant Operator is primarily responsible, with others, for operating, maintaining, sustaining, monitoring and assessing wastewater treatment plant needs and operations. This position directly ensures incoming wastewater is properly treated and discharged to the environment within the City of Iqaluit. This position operates the equipment within the facility in an appropriate manner and provides continual maintenance of every section of the plant. Key to the ongoing operation and maintenance of the facility and its equipment will be the conformance to the City’s Operational Health and Safety Manual.
On occasion, the Waste Water Treatment Plant Operator may be called upon to perform similar operating and maintenance functions and duties in other City facilities including the Sewage Lift Stations, Water Treatment Plant, Water Booster Stations and Water Reheat Stations.
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma;
- Level 1 Wastewater Treatment certification with a minimum of 1 year’s experience;
- Class 5 driver’s license;
- Confined Space Certification or willingness to obtain within 6 months
- Knowledge of DDC Controls and Northern Building Practices,
- Working knowledge of mechanical, plumbing, electrical and oil burning heating sytems.
- Strong computers skills including MS Office
- Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with various suppliers and the public.
Assets:
- Journeyman plumber or plumbing experience.
- Level 1 Water Distribution Operator
- Class 3 Driver’s License
- The ability to speak and write in one or more of Nunavut’s official languages.

Job DescriptionTechnical Support Specialist of the Technical Op’s Services Technical Support team with focus on effective post commissioning technical support, warranty claim management and customer issue resolution. This role will be responsible for providing world class support to the ES install base customers. The Technical Support Specialist is accountable for managing customer issues to closure both during regular business hours & 24/7 after hours support.
Responsibilities include implementation of all necessary EHS, design standards, procedures, governance and processes required to represent the company as a customer facing Subject Matter Expert (SME). This is a highly networked role that requires an ability to work under pressure, make operational decisions under challenging deadlines. Success in this role requires strong people management and technical skills.

Highlight chronic issues in product to Product Managers and engineering personnel and assist in implementing solutions
Able to provide training facilitation to both internal & external customers as a subject matter expert with specific product focus on P&D/Legacy(Ozonia, Aquaray UV, Clarifiers, DAF’s, MBBR etc…) product lines
Strong focus on customer relationships (both external and internal customers). Understands balance between customer and Veolia teams
Duties & Responsibilities
Work closely with Product Management to understand the root cause of the failure, communicate and report on progress with the customer, update Customer Technical Support Cases (CTS) and ensure the technical closure of the case is recorded & validated with the customer
Organize and drive feedback to engineering and senior management for sustained product and project delivery improvement
Communicate with fellow Technical Support team members, process & controls groups to ensure cases are recorded and understood to allow uninterrupted customer service
Lead the resolution of customer complaints and issues throughout a project lifecycle
Investigate and report cases in the CTS application
Facilitate client issue resolution and participate in RCA (Root Cause Analysis) teams to identify & resolve systemic issues across the business
Active participation in Large Issue review meetings, responsible for the project to be completed on budget through tracking all project costs when leading complicated solutions to large issues
Develop and maintain an in-depth knowledge of all Veolia WTS and service offerings specific to P&D/Legacy Business and related products
Please note : This role can be based in one of our offices across NORAM, or it can be 100% remotely, depending on the candidate's experience and preference. There is minimal travel required to customer sites and Veolia offices, as deemed necessary.

Education & Experience
Required:
5 years’ experience with Veolia WTS systems or equivalent industry experience
5 years of client relationship management experience
Preferred:
Relevant field experience working on Veolia WTS products
Background in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) tools
Bachelor's Degree or College Diploma with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a water treatment field

Reporting to the Superintendent, Water and Sewer and under the direct supervision of the Supervisor, Water treatment and wastewater disposal, the Water treatment and wastewater disposal operator/maintainer the incumbent is required to perform maintenance on and perform the day to day operation of City assets including the Water Treatment Plant, Pumphouses, Liftstations, boilers and related equipment. The Water Treatment and Waste Disposal Operator/Maintainer maintains safe and efficient operation of plant equipment and treatment processes, ensuring reliable production and supply of high quality potable water in accordance with the Canadian Drinking Water Guidelines and the Public Health Act . They will be required to be included in a stand-by rotation for emergencies that come up outside of normal business hours which will include scheduled overtime and call-outs.
The incumbent is required to hold or have the willingness to obtain a Class II Water Treatment Certification through the City, a valid Class 5 NWT Driver's License and a minimum of an NWT Class 5 Operating Engineer's certificate. The incumbent must hold a Forklift Operator Certification or be willing to obtain the certification through on the job training. A minimum of 3 years related work experience in a similar environment is required.
Other job related training, that may be required and provided by the City, will include but not be limited to include: Fall Arrest, Confined space, Transportation of Dangerous Goods, First Aid, Bear Awareness, and Flag-person.

Job DescriptionPlant Operator is responsible for the safe, compliant and efficient operation of the Organic Processing Facility. This includes, among other tasks, lab testing, use of SCADA, decision making and operating equipment as part of a team.
Main Responsibilities:
- Control and operate automatic and semi-automatic machines and related equipment including pumps, engines, generators, valves, gates, mixers, conveyors, blowers, centrifuges, chemical feed, etc.
- Monitors flow meters, gauges, flow ratios, pressures and related controls through instrument panels, computer terminals and programmable logic control units in assigned area;
- Monitors and records operating conditions observations and data in a shift log;
- Use SCADA for process monitoring and systems control and to operate various equipments;
- Performs field tests (chemical, physical and biological) in order to pace chemical dosages for process control units or alter unit processes. This includes TS, TSS, PH, and other lab tests typical of wastewater and anaerobic digestion;
- Sample wastewater, sludge and gasses (odor control, digester, etc.) according to schedule;
- Makes independent decisions concerning process control changes. Directs the activities of other operators assigned to the shift;
- Ensures conformance to process specifications. Diagnoses basic operational problems and takes corrective action per procedure. Verifies and reports suspected malfunctions and variances to supervisor and takes corrective actions;

- Ingenuity and initiative are required to coordinate problem resolution and to execute the schedule requirements within a team environment;
- Over five years experience in a related position and environment with knowledge of the methods, techniques, and practices of water/wastewater treatment;
- Experience in operation of Anaerobic Digestion highly regarded;
- Attention to details and capability to accurately follow procedures;
- Analytical skills to understand data and graphs. Capability to make decisions based on data;
- Proficiency in the care and use of all site specific, facility required PPE (Personal Protection Equipment) ;
- Ability to use computer systems such as Email, SCADA trending and data retrieval;

**Main Responsibilities**

* Ensure the safe and efficient operation of the asphalt plant, using button controls and computer controlled blending systems to produce quality asphalt product.
* Demonstrate a specific and technical understanding of different mix designs, aggregates AC oils and test results.
* Perform maintenance and troubleshooting on equipment and electrical components of plants without compromising worker safety, the environment, or the quality of the asphalt product.
