JOB DESCRIPTION:

Our caregivers is expected to assist in all aspects of daily living which includes and is not limited to:

* provide supervision and care
* provide personal care such as personal hygiene and dressing
* facilitate in transferring the client
* help with exercise and chores
* aid with administering medications
* accompany to medical appointments
* assess the overall well-being of the client
* cook nutritious meals for the individual
* and more, depending on the needs of the client

We require our caregivers to provide supervision and care to an elderly individual within their home for a period of 2 hours or more. While this position expects you to work individually, it also requires you to work as a team with your coworker in order to ensure that you are both up to date on the client’s condition.

This position requires the Medical Device Reprocessing (MDR) or Sterile Supply Technician (SST) certificate.

*Key Areas of Involvement Include*:

· Set up of procedure room.

· Sterilize probes using Trophon system.

· Tidy and clean procedure and examination rooms between procedures.

· Wash, pack, and autoclave instruments following all established Standard Operating Procedures and meeting all College of Physicians of BC requirements and accreditation standards.

· Restock procedure rooms, assessment rooms and ultrasound rooms.

· Clean recovery area and tidy private patient washrooms and change rooms.

· Assisting in patient admission and discharge, providing pre-procedure/ultrasound instructions, collection of urine sample and testing of urine sample, assisting with procedure room change over and tray set up.
