Your work will contribute directly to the success of these, and other projects.    As our Intermediate engineer, you’ll work with a small engineering team that will generate custom designs for our clients. You will lead the design process, and translate client needs into functional, implementable designs.   There will be a great deal of autonomy in this role. We appreciate engineers who are able to move confidently and independently through various project stages. Due to the size and complexity of these projects, there will be a great deal of communication, iteration, and adaptation during the design process. Succeeding here will require equal parts technical expertise and ingenuity, as the project moves from concept to construction.   Your tasks will include:   * Oversee the activity of junior engineers, both in office and remotely * Determine functional requirements and draft design documents * Research and analyze site requirements * Generate designs for a variety of transit projects, including grade crossings, stations, track layout, etc. using modeling software * Iterate design specifications according to client and senior engineering feedback * Consult with senior engineering staff on milestones, project updates, budgets/costing etc. * Monitor project progress and produce status reports as necessary * Attend project meetings and provide technical expertise for clients, other engineers, and management * Provide consultation services to internal and external stakeholders * Support other engineering offices remotely   Working with Gannett Fleming   With 40 offices across North America, and a team comprised of 2500 employees globally, Gannett Fleming has a far-reaching impact in the industry. **Job Summary**
Join TYLin's fast-paced and collaborative Transportation team in the GTA as a Civil Engineer - Roads & Highways, where your hands-on design expertise will directly shape major infrastructure projects across Ontario. We're looking for a technically driven civil engineer who thrives on design production and is eager to contribute to high-impact projects led by clients such as the Ministry of Transportation of Ontario (MTO), municipalities, and regional transportation authorities.

**Responsibilities & Qualifications**
+ Develop roadway geometric design, grading, and plan/profile drawings for highway and municipal roadway projects across Ontario.
+ Support the production of contract documents, including design plans, calculations, quantities, specifications, and cost estimates.
+ Prepare design submissions at various stages (Preliminary Design, Detail Design, and Tender Package) in compliance with MTO and municipal standards.
+ Coordinate with internal disciplines (e.g., drainage, structural, traffic) to ensure design integration and consistency.
+ Assist in responding to design comments from clients and stakeholders and revising deliverables accordingly.
+ Participate in field reviews, site assessments, and design coordination meetings.
+ Maintain quality and accuracy across all deliverables and adhere to project schedules and budgets.
+ Provide guidance and technical support to junior designers and EITs as needed.
**What You'll Bring:**
+ Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering; P.Eng. in Ontario or eligibility for licensure.
+ 5-10 years of experience in roadway/highway design with a strong focus on production work for public sector transportation clients.
+ Proficiency in MicroStation and OpenRoads Designer (ORD); experience with InRoads or Civil 3D is an asset.
+ Familiarity with MTO standards, including the Highway Design Manual, Engineering Drafting Guidelines, and Contract Preparation Manual.
+ Strong technical skills in developing design drawings and documentation from concept through to final tender.

**Job Description**
**AECOM** is seeking an **Airside Civil Engineer** **- Airport Project** to join our team. This position is based on-site, out of Mississauga.
We are seeking professionals to join our team to help us build one of the most advanced, sustainable and passenger-friendly airports in the world.
+ Provides expert advice and guidance throughout the planning, design, and delivery phases of the program, with a focus on civil design and construction, ensuring compliance with all applicable codes, standards, and technical requirements.
+ Oversees civil design and construction activities, including the review of designs, submittals, and testing procedures to ensure alignment with project specifications.
+ Conducts Facility Alteration Permit (FAP) compliance reviews for all proposed renovations, alterations, maintenance work, and new construction projects.
+ Evaluates alternative technical proposals submitted by contractors, assessing feasibility and alignment with project requirements, and provides recommendations accordingly.
+ Leads the coordination of civil and structural engineering components of the program, including the establishment of technical goals and performance targets.
+ Facilitates cross-disciplinary integration by coordinating with architectural and other engineering disciplines to ensure cohesive design and implementation across all facilities and assets.
+ Reviews contractor and designer deliverables to confirm compliance with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements.
+ Monitors design-related input throughout the construction phase, including RFIs, shop drawings, material and mock-up approvals, and punch lists.
+ Prepares and delivers management-level progress reports and briefings on structural design status, key issues, and emerging opportunities.
**Qualifications**
**Minimum Requirements:**
In order to be considered for this position, candidates must possess, at a very minimum:
+ University Degree in Civil Engineering with 4 years of experience in civil/site development/construction/airport engineering applying unique engineering principles in airfield pavement structural design.
Demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education may be considered.
**Preferred Requirements:**
+ Relevant professional designation is considered an asset.
+ Over 7 years of experience in civil/site development, construction, and airport engineering, with a strong focus on airfield pavement structural design and the application of specialized engineering principles.
+ Solid understanding of traffic, geotechnical, and municipal engineering practices.
+ Proven experience applying Canadian aerodrome standards (TP312 4th and 5th editions), as well as international standards such as ICAO and FAA, to support design reviews, problem-solving, and the development of engineering solutions.
+ In-depth knowledge of CSA design codes and standards, including civil construction materials, methods, and industry best practices.
+ Hands-on experience with engineering design software, including MicroStation CAD, Bentley InRoads/OpenRoads Designer 3D modeling, as well as AviPLAN and AutoTURN packages.
+ Skilled in applying Geometric Design Standards for Ontario Highways and experienced in the planning, design, and construction of transportation systems and infrastructure.
+ Proficient in various software tools, including Bluebeam and the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
+ Knowledgeable in the application of asset management principles for structural systems.
+ Strong stakeholder engagement and communication abilities, with a proven ability to lead and facilitate meetings and workshops involving diverse stakeholder groups.
