**Key Responsibilities**

**Basic Qualifications**

+ **Core Networking Expertise:** Extensive hands-on experience with advanced TCP/IP networking, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), MPLS, and modern network architectures.

Rumble is seeking a Senior Network Engineer who will be a pivotal member of the team that builds and maintains the network infrastructure that is at the core of the Rumble platform. Candidates applying for this position should be very experienced and highly skilled network engineers who are excited about the opportunity of building and supporting a fast growing, fault tolerant and high capacity network. What you will do:

The Senior Network Engineer who is selected for this role will be responsible for building and supporting the Rumble network within and between our data centers, with responsibilities including:

• Problem solving complex issues in a multi-vendor network environment
• Building out network infrastructure at a sometimes fast and relentless pace
• Planning and executing changes to improve performance and stability
• Documenting improvements and exchanging ideas with other members of the team
• Participation in an on-call rotation, responding to and resolving incidents while communicating network status to other members of the team
• Occasional travel as needed

Required Qualifications:

• 8+ years of relevant network experience
• Deep experience with service provider L2/L3 protocols — EVPN, VXLAN, MPLS, BGP, IS-IS — you've used them in production at scale
• Solid experience with linux systems and using them in a production environment
• Expert troubleshooting experience — you're calm under pressure and can dissect and resolve the toughest infrastructure issues.
• Ability to create and maintain high quality network documentation
• Effective communicator (both verbal and written) who can clearly present information or ideas within a team
• Willingness to learn, be challenged and have fun in a dynamic and fast paced environment

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with network automation tools, Ansible experience a plus
• Experience with multiple network operating systems (Juniper, Arista, Cisco, etc.)
• Scripting experience with python or equivalent language
• Knowledge of anycast, and DDoS mitigation strategies
• Understanding of network security and management of firewall policy
• Experience with high-throughput, low latency network solutions for inter-data center connectivity (DWDM, dark fiber)

Annual Compensation Range:

At Wireline Access Technology & Engineering team, we are looking for a network engineer to support new technology introduction and current generation CMTS platform engineering. You will be the subject matter expert on DOCSIS CMTS platform to integrate new platforms such as Virtual CMTS, Distributed Access Architecture, DOCSIS3.1 Enhanced etc., and to own and drive lab validation, Pre-Production testing and Production trial of these new technologies into the client's network. You will also maintain and stabilize the current generation CMTS platform, ensure our wireline residential and business customers have the best network experience.

What you'll do:

• Execute Lab, Pre-Production and Production testing and trial of bug fixes, new software releases and new CMTS features

• End-to-end integration of new CMTS platform and technology into client's network eco-system

• Own and drive network projects to work with internal teams and external vendors to provide the best customer experience to client's customers

• Be the subject matter expert on anything DOCSIS CMTS technology related to internal teams to support their network initiatives

• Mentor and train junior engineers

What you bring:

Your Opportunity
Stantec's Mining Practice is hiring a Senior Automation, Communications & Network Engineer to join our growing team across Canada. This position reports to the Supervisor of Electrical & Automation. As a Senior Automation, Communications & Network Engineer, you will be a key member of the electrical/automation team working with various clients in completing feasibility studies and detailed engineering projects for underground and surface mining operations. You would have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects both domestic and international. This role is for a full-time position.
Your Key Responsibilities

- You will provide clients with engineering support to meet their needs and incorporate client suggestions for future requirements in a timely, efficient, and cost-effective manner. This position is intended to be client facing and includes attending client meetings, which may at times be remote, as well as corresponding directly with the client.

- You will be responsible for the review and analysis of drawings for possible safety and constructability problems prior to issuance to clients.
As a member of the electrical/automation team, your primary duties will include:

- Completion of fit-for-purpose designs that meet the client's needs and requests.

Your Capabilities and Credentials
- Self-starter, with the ability to handle change and work with minimal supervision. You must be a contemplative person who is willing to challenge your own work as well as the work of those around you.
- Excellent knowledge of applicable design codes and familiarity with Mine Safety and Health Administration Regulations.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, along with excellent interpersonal abilities and willingness to work in a team atmosphere.
- Previous experience as a Lead Engineer on detailed engineering/construction projects with a consulting firm or Owner's team.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and project engineering experience.
- Ability to take the lead on a project team and mentor junior staff members.
- Completing inspections and condition assessments for automation, communications & network infrastructure (this may include climbing ladders and walking / standing for extended periods of time).
- Willingness to travel to client sites or other Stantec offices (~10% travel).
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
- Professional Engineering license is required.
- 15-20 years of engineering, design, and construction experience in heavy industry, particularly surface or underground mining.
