Job Description

**Role summary**
We're looking for a business‑minded analyst who turns data and processes into measurable outcomes. You will partner with stakeholders to define problems, design insight‑rich Power BI solutions, and identify/implement AI and automation opportunities (e.g., Power Automate/RPA, copilots) that improve productivity, quality, and decision making. You'll combine requirements discovery, data modeling, and change management to deliver solutions that users love and the business trusts.
**Position responsibilities**
+ Identify automation candidates; design and implement workflows using Power Automate (cloud & desktop) or RPA platforms (e.g., UiPath/Automation Anywhere). Monitor runs, handle exceptions, and quantify hours saved.
+ Collaborate with IT and business teams to implement automation workflows using tools like Power Automate and custom scripts.
+ Identify opportunities to apply automation to business processes.
+ Run demos, UAT, and production cutovers; set up monitoring and incident playbooks.
+ Work within Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to quarterly roadmaps and ROI reporting.
+ Identify opportunities and collaborate with IT and business teams to implement AI agents using tools like Copilot.
+ Prototype and productize AI-assisted solutions (e.g., M365/Power Platform Copilot, prompt flows, semantic search, classification/extraction) with clear guardrails for privacy, fairness, and data security.
+ Draft prompt patterns and evaluation criteria; tune for quality and cost; document responsible use considerations.
+ Evaluate tactical vs. strategic use cases for AI and recommend scalable solutions.
+ Design, build, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI.
+ Integrate data from various sources including Databricks, SAP, and Excel.
+ Design semantic models (star/snowflake), build performant datasets (Power Query/M), author DAX measures, and publish governed reports/dashboards to the Power BI Service.
+ Implement RLS/OLS, certify datasets, and apply governance standards (naming, lineage, sensitivity labels).
+ Source and prepare data from systems like SQL, SharePoint/OneDrive, Dataverse, ERP/CRM, or datalake (e.g., Microsoft Fabric/Azure Synapse). Collaborate with data engineers on pipelines and data quality.
+ Interpret data with various levels of problem solving and demonstrate ability to tell a story of the results.
+ Design reporting and metrics; provide analysis that drives action/resolution.
+ Present findings that drive understanding, alignment, and informed decision making.
+ Complete special projects and ad hoc requests as required

**Position Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's degree in Data science, Computer Science, or Business Analytics with a specialization or coursework in Artificial Intelligence, Automation Technologies, and Business Intelligence Tools (e.g., Power BI).and/or 2-3 years related business experience required
+ Strong communication skills, written and verbal
+ Able to work independently under limited supervision
+ Prioritize multiple activities simultaneously
+ Ability to lead change in an ambiguous and dynamic business environment
+ Highly organized and detail oriented
+ Practical prompt design, evaluation basics, and awareness of responsible AI (privacy, bias, security).

**Job Description:**
We are seeking a skilled Microsoft Power Platform / Business Intelligence Developer to design, develop, and maintain dashboards and reports using Microsoft Power Platform tools (Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps and SharePoint (Lists).
The developer will be responsible for analyzing data sources, building data models, creating DAX formulas, and delivering intuitive dashboards and data visualizations that support business decision-making.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports with advanced DAX calculations
+ Automate workflows and notifications using Power Automate to streamline processes.

We are currently seeking an agile Client Reporting Analyst to join our Client Reporting team. The Client Reporting Analyst will help establish cohesion between business units, IT stakeholders and end users through management of the end-to-end process of creating and distributing reporting documents. The individual will be responsible for establishing and maintaining trust in the quality and timeliness of deliverables through the analysis of client reporting requirements, implementation of process controls and facilitation of acceptance testing. This will be achieved through an ongoing review and support of processes involved in the cyclical reporting process and enhancements to due regulatory changes and/or product updates.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Ensure timely delivery of client reporting documents based on regulatory requirements and client expectations
  • Conduct cyclical statements/CRM2 reports/trade confirms/tax packages run and testing
  • Handle production enhancements/fixes related to all client reporting documents or tools
  • Act as a subject matter expert, providing insights and resolving issues; pro-actively identify opportunities for improvements in both business processes resulting from ongoing support provided to the line of business
  • Work collectively with IT and Business units to represent Client Reporting for enhancements, regulatory changes and new product offerings
  • Work collectively with the various stakeholders to implement production enhancements or resolving issues
  • Collaborate with IT project teams and business units to collect, and translate business requirements into documentation
  • Prepare business requirements and mock-ups as needed
  • Ensure requirements are clearly, accurately and thoroughly documented and understood
  • Conduct gap analysis on business requirements and documents provided by IT and the Business while communicating the needs of from a Client Reporting perspective
  • Pro-actively identify opportunities for improvements in client reporting process, knowledge, and efficiencies
  • Coordinate activities and conducting meetings related to production support and issues  
  • Responsible for user acceptance and testing of all client reporting documents ensuring product rules or enhancements meet user needs as documented in business requirements
  • Develop and document procedures and create reference materials for as a result of product enhancements, regulatory changes and new initiatives
  • Monitor the Team inbox and provide research-based support to other departments on client reporting related inquiries
  • Other duties as assigned

 WHAT YOU WILL BRING

  • Previous Business Analyst experience an asset 
  • Post Secondary Education
  • Canadian Securities Course or IFIC Operations Course an asset 
  • Working knowledge of CI products, Private Client or Assante back office processes an asset
  • Strong knowledge of User Acceptance testing (UAT); proven ability to create extensive test plans that confidently tests functionality being implemented against documented requirements
  • Excellent analytical capabilities are required along with a strong focus on attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational skills, capable of multitasking and the ability to deliver high quality work under pressure
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills. You are to effectively communicate project status, and dependencies to stakeholders
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to address issues and obstacles that may impede project progress. Proactive identification and resolution of project risks and impediments
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines with strong time management skills

In this role, you will report into our Director, Finance and work closely with the Finance team including our Sr. Manager of Financial Reporting. You will support the team in day-to-day bookkeeping, month-end financial close processes & reconciliations, dashboard reporting and providing analysis over financial reporting metrics. Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Complete bank and credit card reconciliations at month-end.

  • Prepare manual journal entries including accruals, prepaids, depreciation, and intercompany transactions.
  • Prepare commission statements and commission accruals
  • Enter complex invoices periodically throughout the month. 
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations at month-end.
  • Prepare and review reports weekly to support cash flow management.
  • Assist with the preparation of period-end variance analysis. 
  • Support AP AR Specialists on their tasks. 

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years experience in financial reporting 
  • Proficiency in account software preferred (Netsuite)
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent time management & multitasking skills; you have held positions with multiple demands that shift daily and are able to prioritize effectively
  • Attention to detail & attentiveness
  • Strong communication skills for collaborating with multiple teams
  • Problem-solving mindset and ability to work independently
  • Previous experience with managing AR and AP cycles preferred
  • You have the integrity to hold private information in strict confidence, and you have the intelligence to understand which information can be disclosed to which stakeholder when necessary
  • Must be located in Toronto or the GTA
