The City of North Vancouver's Finance Department is looking for Auxiliary Cashier/Accounting Clerks to join their team.
Responsibilities
In this position, you will be processing tax, utility and other revenue payments through our cash receipts system at the City Hall Gateway counter and balancing cash on a daily basis. You will assist with updating and reconciling property tax accounts with Provincial Home Owner Grant claims and Tax Deferments. Other duties include issuing dog licenses, processing mail, filing, scanning, responding to property tax inquiries from the public and working on special projects as required.
Requirements
You will have a minimum of one year's cashiering experience, preferably in a municipal environment or in a banking or financial institution. Completion of a post-secondary course in accounting, along with practical work experience is desirable. You will also be proficient in MS Word and Excel.
Compensation
$29.48 per hour, plus 12% in lieu of benefits
(Pay Grade 15 – January 2024 rates)
Hours of Work
Auxiliary. Hours may vary. Shifts will be scheduled Monday – Friday 8:30am – 5:00pm.
Additional Information
