We are seeking an experienced and client-focused Cloud Solutions lead to lead engagements and enable our clients through cloud adoption, migration, and modernization programs. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in delivering cloud adoption strategies and cloud solutions. **Key Responsibilities:**
Cloud Adoption & Strategy Development:
+ Conduct assessments, develop, and deliver cloud adoption strategies.
+ Lead cloud adoption efforts, ensuring that clients successfully move to cloud environments, including public, private, or hybrid solutions.
+ Work with clients to define cloud adoption roadmaps, business cases, and transformation strategies.
+ Collaborate with client teams to design scalable, secure, and cost-efficient cloud foundations.
Cloud Migration & Modernization:
+ Lead and advise on cloud migration strategies and execution, guiding clients through application, data, and infrastructure migrations.
+ Define and implement cloud modernization solutions, helping clients optimize and refactor legacy applications to take full advantage of cloud capabilities.
+ Ensure that cloud migration and modernization efforts align with best practices and cloud service provider guidelines (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.).
Technical Leadership and Mentorship:
+ Provide technical leadership and mentorship to internal teams, ensuring that cloud solutions meet the highest standards of quality, scalability, and security.
+ Act as a subject matter expert for cloud technologies, keeping abreast of industry trends and innovations.
+ Contribute to the development of internal knowledge repositories, best practices, and reusable assets.
Stakeholder Management & Reporting:
+ Collaborate with business stakeholders, IT leadership, and other teams to ensure alignment on business goals and technical requirements.
+ Deliver regular progress reports and executive-level presentations to ensure that stakeholders are informed of project status, risks, and milestones.
+ Identify and manage project risks and issues, taking proactive steps to address them before they become blockers.
**Required Qualifications:**
+ 12 years of experience, with at least 5 years in a cloud architecture or solution design role.
+ Proven experience in client-facing roles, including consulting, delivering cloud adoption, migration, and modernization programs.
+ Demonstrated success in managing complex cloud transformation projects from conception to completion.
Technical Expertise:
+ Deep expertise in cloud technologies, platforms, and services (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.).
+ Experience in designing cloud architectures for enterprise-level clients, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS models.
+ Expertise in cloud migration tools, techniques, and best practices.
+ Strong knowledge of cloud security best practices, compliance, and governance.
Consulting & Communication Skills:
+ Exceptional client-facing and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

You will be part of a engineering department responsible for diving the global commercial availability. This is a technical, multi-cloud environment, seeing thousands of changes a week.

The team focuses on empowering engineering teams to manage their cloud cost footprint, as well as building and implementing solutions to help drive cost efficiencies, all without impacting team autonomy or speed of delivery.

The Opportunity

This role is focused on helping our client optimize cost, using automation of tooling and data to create cost awareness and visibility within teams - without risking reliability or customer experience. As such, they are looking to hire an experienced senior engineer to help anchor and grow the team, whilst being hands-on in a multi-faceted delivery environment.

The majority of their spend is currently in AWS, the balance in GCP. In many ways, they are still in the early stages of their FinOps journey, with loads of opportunities to reduce waste and increase cost efficiencies, helping to keep our people and money focused on delighting our customers.

What will you need?

  • Detailed knowledge of, and experience with, a wide range of AWS services

  • Hands-on experience with automation, infrastructure-as-code, and CI / CD

  • To be comfortable in a multi-team environment, and familiar with pull-request workflows & etiquette

  • Be a self-starter, whether that’s coming up with new ideas, developing organizational and technical knowledge, or improving existing processes and solutions

  • Be experienced in automation scripting (ideally Python but we’re open to other experience too)

**Qualifications**
**Required/minimum qualifications**
+ Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 1+ year(s) technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 2+ years technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience
+ OR 3+ years technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience
+ OR equivalent experience.
+ Extensive experience insoftware development architecture and development techniques for cloud native environments.
+ Ability to communicate technical concepts to business and technical audiences.
+ Proven ability to lead technical engagements (e.g., hackathons,PoCs, MVPs) that drive production-scale outcomes.

In this technical presales role, you will help customers design secure, scalable, and resilient cloud architectures that support their modernization goals. Using Azure's IaaS and PaaS services, you will guide organizations through migration, modernization, and optimization - translating technical capabilities into significant business outcomes.  
You will collaborate across teams to deliver impactful solutions that enhance agility, reduce costs, and unlock value through AI-powered infrastructure.  
As a  **Cloud & AI Solution Engineer for the Azure Platform** , you will play a key role in helping customers modernize their infrastructure and unlock the full value of Microsoft's cloud. You will work directly with technical and business stakeholders to design and implement secure, scalable, and resilient architectures that support AI workloads and business-critical applications.  Your goal as a Solution Engineer is to win the technical decision of customers to commit to use Microsoft technology and cloud services. The solution engineer is expected to both own and win customers' technical decisions, as well as find new opportunities through their contacts and engagements to build a successful business in their territory.
You bring deep expertise in migrating core workloads - including Windows, SQL Server, Linux, PostgreSQL, and Oracle-to Azure. Beyond migration, you lead customers through modernization using the 6R strategy, containerization best practices, and Azure-native services like App Service and AKS, while exploring how AI and intelligent agents can accelerate legacy transformation.  
You also apply strong networking knowledge to design hybrid and cloud-native solutions, including virtual networks, VPNs, and secure routing architectures that meet enterprise performance and compliance needs. You complement this with trusted partner solutions like NetApp, VMware, RedHat, and SAP to ensure a secure, optimized, and scalable migration experience.

+ Deepen knowledge of enterprise apps (SAP, Oracle) and Azure VMware Solution (AVS). 
+ Represent Microsoft in customer forums and technical communities through thoughtleadership. 
+ Own technicaljourneyfor Azure Migration with customersleveragingprocesses and tools, demos, and programsand partners. Use consultative and/or Challenger method;establishrules of engagement (e.g., role boundaries, handoff strategies) for extended teams.
+ Build strategy: map the agreed customer vision into a strategy, resolve concerns, preventing, and removing technical blockers, and validating a strong business case for investment and translated technology complexity into business impact. Work with the customer, account team, and partners to orchestrate a roadmap for implementation.
+ Scale through partners, acting as liaison between the partner and account team, facilitating partner resources and processes; supporting partner technical capacity by identifying skill and resource gaps and providing feedback to internal teams.
+ Identify and support the creation of new pipeline within customer engagements.

**Required/minimum qualifications**
