Kiewit's Contracts & Supply Chain Specialists oversees procurement and subcontractor / vendor management on construction projects across North America. You provide leadership and management for procurement of engineered equipment, subcontracts, professional services, commodities, permanent plant materials, and small tools and supplies. You will work with a procurement team to interface with engineering, estimating, design, and the site to create project-specific contract templates, negotiating with equipment vendors, material vendors, subcontractors and service providers. You will consult with corporate attorneys and senior management when necessary.
This role will support our Nuclear Construction team for projects across Ontario.

**Responsibilities**
+ Oversee and plan all aspects of purchasing from pre-bid to closeout.
+ Represent company in negotiating contracts and formulating policies with suppliers, subcontractors and professional service providers.
+ Negotiate commercial terms and conditions with equipment vendors, material vendors, professional service providers and subcontractors; consult with corporate attorneys and senior management to minimize project and corporate risk while maintaining commercial competitiveness.
+ Monitor and oversee execution of the purchasing buyout.
+ Direct and coordinate activities of personnel engaged in buying and/or estimating materials, equipment, subcontract and professional services.
+ Locate and assist in the evaluation and qualification of vendor materials and equipment, subcontractors, and professional service providers.
+ Process requisitions and prepare purchase orders for supplies and equipment.
+ Assist in the development and implementation of procurement and contract management instructions, policies and procedures.
+ Maintain records of goods ordered and received.
+ Provide feedback to assist in analyzing market and delivery systems to assess present and future material availability.
+ Resolve vendor or contractor grievances and claims.
+ Review purchase order or subcontractor claims and contracts for conformance to company policy.
+ Communicate and enforce purchasing policies & procedures to project team; provide training to ensure policies and procedures are followed.
+ Responsible for projections, financial planning, expediting, delivery schedules and project purchasing reporting.
+ Provide detailed risk assessments and mitigation strategies to project cost, schedule, quality and general buyout
+ Oversee the development and review of all procurement analytics, reporting and deliverables.
+ Implement and oversee project mobilization activities including office set-up, site general arrangement, etc.
+ Work with the material management department to ensure proper material receiving and control.
**Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, construction management, engineering, or equivalent degree.
+ **Minimum of two years' experience in nuclear construction industry in a procurement role.**
+ Must have experience in vendor and subcontractor management, including evaluation, selection, performance management, and contract closeout.
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office ( **Excel** , Outlook, Word) with general knowledge of database utilization. SAP experience is a plus.
+ Knowledge of equipment and materials common in Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) projects.
+ Detail-oriented, flexible and highly motivated with a strong work ethic and professional demeanor.
+ Effective time management and organizational skills.
+ Ability to perform multiple tasks efficiently and accurately.

**Job Description**
**How will you make an impact:**
Operates and monitors building automatic systems (BAS) and utilities to ensure the environmental systems are maintained for safety, compliance, optimum uptime, and business continuity.
**Shift schedule:** 12 hours Continental, days and nights - monthly rotation
**What will you do?**
+ Carries out planned Preventative Maintenance (PM) on all building support systems and Purified Water System.
+ Ensures the building environmental conditions in the manufacturing areas are always within specifications.
+ Maintains operation of Metasys building automation system, including maintenance and calibration of sensor and generation of environmental reports.
+ Ensures that all Maximo PM, CM maintenance work orders are correctly carried out andcorrectly documented right first time and on time.
+ Liaises with and supports external contractors to monitor activities and to ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Safety Regulations.
+ Operates low pressure boilers and associated condensate systems including softener system. Performs daily low water cut off on boilers and maintain adequate chemical treatment offeedwater.
+ Deals with facility emergencies such as boilers, cooling towers, compressors failures not limited water leaks.
+ Performs daily boiler chemical tests.
+ Conducts daily RO rounds, prepares chemicals F60/F80 as required. Conducts weekly pre-treatment loop heat sanitization, weekly distribution loop heat sanitization and monthly chemical cleaning of RO membranes. Operate DI water system and conduct maintenance as required
+ Performs daily misting shower sanitization and maintenance as required.
+ Prints and reviews daily PMS/PWS reports.
+ Prints BAS daily report and reviews for accuracy and OOS.
+ Performs house-keeping vacuum maintenance and supports cleaning as required. Conducts baghouses and dust collectors cleaning with contractors and staff.
+ Performs fire alarm bypass and returns to online as required by engineering and contractors.
+ Issues' notifications as required for shutdowns and facility and utility maintenance.
+ Conducts building rounds and replaces filters on HVACs as required.
+ Conducts weekly fire sprinkler inspection, weekly fire pump inspection and monthly PIVs/ITVs inspection.
+ Operates main plant chillers, processing room dehumidification systems and all processing equipment chillers for dryers and coaters as required. Operates and maintains cooling towers.
+ Operates and maintains domestic and industrial hot water system. Operates and maintains all unit heaters, perimeter heaters.
+ Operates air compressors and maintains compressed air generation and distribution systems. Operates and maintain controls air compressors.

**REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS**
**Education:**
Minimum High school diploma/General Educational Development (GED) Certificate is required
Minimum 4th Class Power (Operating) Engineer, Part A is required.
Preferable a certificate in Building Technology/ Facility Systems or Industrial Millwright License.
**Experience:**
0-1-year building operator's and maintenance experience preferably in a controlled and regulated environment or in an industrial establishment.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Manages one or more very complex project, involving a combination of the following:
+ Clients with a national geographic footprint; OR,
+ Projects involving a full spectrum of services offered by IE; OR,

+ Works to oil water separators
+ Site paving

**Minimum Requirements:**
+ Bachelor Degree in a relevant discipline (civil, mechanical, electrical, construction management, etc)
+ 4+ years of experience in construction project management
+ PEng or PMP or MBA
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ PMP designation is a huge asset

Zurich Canada is currently looking for an Underwriting Specialist, Construction to join our Middle Market team. This role will be accountable for growing a profitable portfolio of Construction Risks including Property, Casualty, Inland Marine and Project Specific covers (CAR / EAR, Wrap-up).
Reporting to the VP, Middle Market, Ontario Region, you will analyze and underwrite new and renewal business, under limited direction, utilizing The Zurich Way of Underwriting Framework within delegated authority levels on highly complex assignments ensuring a high level service to customers.

**What you will do**
- Use strong analytical skills to manage and develop a portfolio of Construction Risks including Property, Casualty, Inland Marine and Project Specific covers (CAR / EAR, Wrap-up) in accordance with Zurich guidelines.
-Have strong broker network, and make broker/customer visits with a planned and well-prepared purpose.
-Take a solution-oriented approach to foster, develop and maintain a strong network of relationships with our Broker partners and our Customers.
- Cross-selling other lines of business to increase product density for most comprehensive Zurich solution.
- Mentorship of less experienced underwriters and supporting training initiatives, as required.
- Demonstrate continuous learning and curiosity to continue to grow with the Construction unit at Zurich and the industry in general.
- Develop and lead marketing presentations to new and current brokers.
- Active involvement in business projects to enhance Zurich's product and service offerings.
- Proactively seeks opportunities to improve business processes and value add for the customers.
- Participate in Business Development meetings as related to assigned brokers and / or territory.
- Proactively engage in the pipeline prospecting process, managing a qualified list of opportunities 90 to 120 days prior to effective date.
- Initiate product development ideas and workflow improvements.
- Assist in training and developing staff.
- Provide expertise on coverage issues with claims programs and guidelines.
- Contribute to development of underwriting manuals, programs and guidelines.
- Diagnose and develop recommendations to solve unique business unit and customer problems
- Lead complex technical or long-term (over 6 months) business projects to implement new or changed systems, programs or products
- Investigate, recommend and implement leading edge technical solutions when they meet customer needs
**Job Qualifications - What you bring to the table**
Required:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent and 5 or more years of experience in the Underwriting or Market Facing area. (ADD POP addendum)
OR
- High School Diploma or Equivalent and 10 or more years of experience in the Claims or Underwriting Support area
OR
- Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an Associate Degree and 3 or more years of experience in the Underwriting or Market Facing area
OR
- Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an Associate Degree and 8 or more years of experience in the Claims or Underwriting Support area
AND
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Experience working on time restraints for quotes on new and renewal business
- Experience working in a team environment
Preferred:
Bachelors' Degree with 5 or more years' experience in the commercial P&C underwriting area, with Construction experience
- Strong negotiation skills
- Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills

WSP is currently seeking co-op students starting in **Winter 2026** for Construction Inspection roles in our Rail & Transit Department. You will assist with providing support for construction management services with a large transit client based at a designated project site within the Toronto City limits. This position offers a good opportunity to gain valuable experience in the administration of construction contracts and contract administration for capital works projects. Other experience gained under this assignment includes familiarity with track and signal, municipal servicing and infrastructure construction which will be very helpful to those who ultimately wish to pursue a career in this field in either a design or construction management. + As part of the Construction Management Team, you will assist with the inspection and contract administration of a variety of construction projects at Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) including station upgrades, easier access projects; second exits, tunnel fire ventilation, surface track, subway car houses and yards, bus garages and maintenance facilities;
