Contract length: 9 months with potential for extension
Pay:
T4 $35.26-43.02/hr
- IC $43.00-52.46/hr
Rotations to start would include a mix of 5 days on 5 days off, 4 days on 5 days off and 5 days on and 4 days off. Working up to a rotating Night Schedule also. If T4, an averaging agreement would need to be put in place for 160 ST hours per month with 8 OT hours for a total Monthly rotation of 168 hours.
HGMP Control room operators use a Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition system (SCADA) and a Leak detection system to control and monitor Alberta and Saskatchewan Gathering system and 2 terminal facilities. The operation is a 24 hour/365-day operation that requires the operator to work 12 shift schedule days and nights once fully trained.
Rotations to start would include a mix of 5 days on 5 days off, 4 days on 5 days off and 5 days on and 4 days off. Working up to a rotating Night Schedule also.

If called for an Interview, COBRA testing would need to be completed in person in CPL in advance of Interview being scheduled.
Deliverables
• The ability to remotely control and operate pipeline facilities including terminals and Lease Automatic Custody Transfer (LACT) stations utilizing SCADA and Leak Detection systems.
• Follow the Superintendents Expectations for Control Room Operations.
• Working collaboratively with the midstream team, Engineering, Maintenance, Operations, and SCADA Technicians.

• Comply with Husky’s High Reliability Organization standards and expectations
• The role involves the safe operation of pipelines ensuring the public, Health, Safety, and environment
• Decision making is based on the control room operators using processes and procedures, experiences, and with support from upper management.
• Problem solving is based on the control room operators using Abnormal and emergency procedures, experiences, SCADA technician support, and with support from upper management
• Demonstrated ability to multi-task and independently prioritize tasks.
• Ability to demonstrate Pass/Fail on the simulator using real issues and following process to safely respond to those issues in a timely manner.
Qualifications
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrated self-motivation and inclination to accept increased operational responsibilities
• Excellent computer skills including experience and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, and SAP
• Candidate must possess at least one of the following certifications:
o Gas Process Operator (GPO) certificate
o Production Field Operator (PFO) certificate
o Minimum 4th Class Power Engineering certificate
o Journeyman tradesperson
• Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
• Completion of Engineering technology diploma would be an asset

Weyerhaeuser's Engineered Wood Products (Parallam ) manufacturing Plant, located on Annacis Island (Delta), British Columbia, is currently seeking an experienced Shift Supervisor with a proven track record in safety, quality, reliability and people development. This is a full-time, exempt role.
Our Parallam manufacturing plant is located in the city of Delta, BC, located just 20 minutes south of the city of Vancouver. The city has all the features of a modern city - hospital, airport, libraries, recreational facilities, and numerous bike and walking trails, with a large number of parks, including waterfront parks on the Fraser River, Boundary Bay and Strait of Georgia. The BC lower mainland region is one of the most desired places to live in North America, combining quick access to the cosmopolitan city of Vancouver, surrounding ocean and rivers (for beachcombing, swimming, water sports and boating), nearby mountains (for hiking, biking and rock climbing in the summer, and skiing and snowboarding in the winter months) and a moderate climate that allows year-round enjoyment of most of those activities
The Process Control Specialist (PCS) will play a critical role in supporting continuous improvement in safety, manufacturing, cost, process reliability and productivity at the Vancouver Parallam Plant. The PCS will perform analysis on systems data and develop processes and improvement plans to support operations through Process Control Engineering.
Reporting to the Plant Maintenance Manager, the PCS will interact with the plant maintenance and operations teams to support the use and maintenance of the system, and with engineers and project managers to facilitate engineering, capital and major maintenance projects.
This is a full-time, salaried exempt position. Dayshift schedule with flexibility to respond to unplanned plant events and work flexible schedules across shifts when required.
Key Functions:
As Process Control Specialist, you will primarily engage in hands-on tasks that include the following:
- Maintain and develop site process control systems and software: ControlLogix, Wonderware, Rockwell Automation, etc
- Site O.T. (Operation Technology) support and maintenance
- Perform process control troubleshooting & programming, drive installation & programming for all mill areas
- Provide Technical assistance to specify, design and develop improvements in complex instrumentation, automation, process control & motion control systems
- Deliver troubleshooting support mill-wide, maintain and enhance the engineering process control philosophy, strategy, and controls standard operating procedures
- Lend expertise to departments to ensure understanding of process control characteristics and PID loop tuning
- Assist in mentoring and training of maintenance associates in electrical systems, PLC & motion control systems
- Develop/maintain mill standards for instrumentation
- Maintain broad-based product knowledge including Variable Frequency Drives (Allen Bradley), PLC's (Allen Bradley), Motion Control, Coordinated Drive Systems, Instrumentation, Process Control, HMI Software (Wonderware), Network design experience with Ethernet
- Develop an understanding of the Parallam manufacturing process and opportunities for continuous improvement
- Commitment to safety - demonstrated record of understanding and following safety practices and procedures.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or Technical Diploma in Controls, Instrumentation or similar field
- Minimum 3-5 years' experience in Electrical and Process Controls Systems in an industrial manufacturing and production environment
- Strong ControlLogix programming/troubleshooting skills (RSLogix 5000 and Studio 5000 software etc.)
- Computer skills in LAN, PC, Windows, CAD, Matlab, and Ethernet LAN with advanced MS Office skills
