Role Overview

The Dynamics CRM Senior Consultant is a core team member of KPMG’s customer delivery of Microsoft Dynamics 365 centred solutions. The Senior Consultant will be involved in the business processes and solution design and will be hands on configuring and customising the implementation of Dynamics CRM solutions working with both onshore and offshore development teams. The position may require business travel.

Requirements

  • A University graduate with relevant degree within a computing or business discipline
  • Microsoft D365 CE Certifications (2016, D365) are desirable
  • Strong functional knowledge and understanding of Microsoft D365 CE covering a wide spectrum of industries and sectors
  • At least 8+ years of hands-on proven functional experience in D365 CE configuration, standard workflows, dashboards, forms & views customizations, Report development
  • Detailed knowledge and understanding of all modules within D365 CE including Sales, Marketing, Customer Service & Field Services
  • Working knowledge of the Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI)
  • Good understanding of Dataverse including customisations and development of Business Data Models for different solutions
  • Good understanding of Microsoft Dynamics CRM Accelerators, industry templates and add-ons
  • A proven track record of successful implementation & maintenance of a number of solutions within large client companies, preferably across a number of business verticals (Healthcare, Education, Banking, Manufacturing etc.)
  • A proven ability to develop a clear understanding of clients’ needs and the ability to incorporate them into a solution
  • Experience of consultancy roles in software delivery
  • Experience in a delivery-orientated IT environment using waterfall, agile and Devops methodologies
  • Adept at Business Requirement Analysis
  • The ability to see the greater picture and suggest solutions both within and outside the current implementation
  • Experience in supporting pre-sales activities is an advantage
  • Project documentation experience especially for work packages to be implemented by offshore teams
  • Business process mapping, modelling and documentation knowledge


Responsibilities

  • The senior consultant will work as a techno-functional lead to analyse, design, develop, test, maintain and support applications developed using D365 CE by working closely with client teams and business stakeholders.
  • Contribute to activities as required including building demo and proof of concept solutions for various client presentations
  • Work on the creation of Dynamics 365 solutions and industry templates
  • Meet and exceed customer expectations of business knowledge, skills and behaviour
  • Support practice & business development activities such as Pre-Sales, Recruitment, Mentoring Juniors, Sharing knowledge, Initiatives etc.
  • Ensure timely completion of internal processes and mandatory trainings
  • Carry out additional duties as may occur from time to time as instructed and agreed by the management team
  • Represent our client’s Microsoft Business Solutions team in a professional and positive manner at all times

Individual

  • Organise, manage and document workshops, meetings and requirements sessions with the client representatives, project stakeholders
  • Verifying customer requirements to ensure completeness and correctness by working with technical consultants/leads. Ask relevant and right questions to gather additional information to avoid confusion. Provide accurate estimations for tasks
  • Responsible involvement in low-level and high-level design; architecture/design of project; creation and elaboration of requirements/tasks to be given to technical leads/developers/team members; project documentation
  • Lay down quality guidelines (requirement traceability, acceptance criteria, non-functional requirements, other design standards etc.) for the project
  • Working closely with Technical Lead to setup quality gates and quality threshold parameters for project
  • Complete allocated tasks as per schedule with appropriate quality
  • Augment decision making for “inventing vs. re-using” knowledge/assets with appropriate reasoning. Get consensus from stakeholders and document decision for all project related decisions
  • Proactively raise and document concerns, risks, impediments pertaining to various aspects of project and provide support to mitigate them with appropriate RACI
  • Triage bugs, issues etc along with Technical lead during testing (System, UAT, Integration etc.)
  • Decision making with appropriate/relevant insights


Towards Team

  • Provide a clear definition for “Done”
  • Allocate work items/tasks to team members
  • Perform review of work done and provide necessary review comments to enforce quality
  • Provide required guidance and support to team members when stuck
  • Provide details to team on quality standards to be adhered
  • Setup and conduct daily stand-up meeting with team
  • Conduct monthly technical retrospective meetings with actionable outcomes.
  • Keep a check on everyone’s understanding of end-goal
  • Involve appropriate team members for necessary decisions and take accountability of decisions
  • Advocate for feature reusability and efficiency gain


Towards Client

  • Participate in customer workshops as necessary
  • Provide guidance to customer and their IT/Business Analysts team
  • Provide sufficient reasoning for features that look “out of league”; Challenge the client on such requirements and suggest trade-offs as necessary
  • Provide clear weekly progress/status report for self and team
  • Highlight risks or impediments in appropriate forums


Towards Governance

  • Provide guidance and support in setup of Dev Management processes
  • Guidance in setting up right DevOps system & tools; Setup CI/CD pipeline with appropriate templates
  • Verification of Automate Build and release management (including Roll-back plans)
  • Setup and verification of right branching and merging strategy
  • Represent & provide opinions in management reviews or steering committee reviews
  • Ensure team calendar is up to date; Ensure appropriate work distribution, backup/backfill planning
  • Document Lessons Learnt and share it in broader forums
  • Provide immediate and appropriate feedback to team members

Reporting to the Implementation Manager of Professional Services, the primary responsibility of an Implementation Consultant is to nurture strong business-to-business client relationships, throughout the assigned project, leading to the successful software implementation of Multiview Financial Software, based on the clients contract specifications.

  • Work with new clients to assist them with the transitioning from a legacy financial system to Multiview Financial Software

  • Work collaboratively with Multiviews Implementation team, processes and methodologies in the development, management, and execution of client project plans
  • Perform strategic reviews with clients to understand their needs in terms of their financial reporting, internal processes, and finance software needs

  • Prepare project plans and work with new clients to define projects items and milestones

  • Work with existing clients on implementing new modules, new interfaces, or custom work

  • Manage a portfolio of client accounts from project initiation to close; prepare project plans and work with new clients to define projects items and milestones

  • Support new clients in their go-live process, facilitate technical discussions, whiteboarding for project integrations and technical solutions
  • Record and manage project deliverables, risks, and actions
  • Provide regular implementation status reports to key stakeholders, highlighting critical issues and the overall status of the assigned project; investigating and making recommendations on issues that challenge scope boundaries
  • Maintain a detail-oriented view on client project plans, while exercising good interpersonal and organizational skills to develop strong client relationships
  • Prioritizing work and managing multiple tasks simultaneously while adhering to deadlines; Track time to capture revenue adequately

  • Proactively communicate with clients and internal staff to manage enhancement requirements and escalations; support clients through all phases of the implementation as required
  • Deal with confidential data and adhere to applicable data protection acts

Duties:

  • Financial analysis and Accounting engagements with clients.
  • Prepare reconciliations for clients.
  • Future travel opportunities to client sites in Canada and the US to complete ERP Implementations.
  • Manage clients' needs and expectations to provide effective solutions and deliver exceptional client satisfaction.
  • Ensure that the facilitation and implementation of the change management process is seamless.
  • Assist clients with financial data migration and best practices in accordance with relevant standards.
  • Recognize gaps and assist clients during User Acceptance Testing.
  • Support clients in the training and adoption of these new systems.
  • Collaborate directly with decision-makers to gather and analyze business requirements.
  • Demonstrate the ability to align business processes and communicate with all levels of an organization with professionalism and best practice expertise.
  • Write functional specifications for enhancements, integrations, and reports.

Job Requirements:

  • CPA designation and 3-5+ years of accounting/finance experience
  • Strong business acumen and decision-making experience, is coachable

  • Experience with data management and databases
  • Experience working with Excel

The Role:
