Position Overview:
Forum is seeking an enthusiastic and driven Intern, Investor Relations (Inside Sales) to join our growing private client team. Based in our downtown Toronto office, the Intern will support efforts to expand Forums reach across the Canadian wealth management channel, with a particular focus on prospecting, outbound sales activities, call effectiveness, and administrative support for investor relations initiatives.
Reporting to the Managing Director, Alternative Assets, this individual will collaborate closely with Executive Directors across assigned regions to uncover advisor needs, introduce Forums private alternative strategies, and support the client journey from discovery through to investment.
This internship provides hands-on exposure ideal for someone eager to explore a career in wholesaling, sales, or investor relations within the asset management industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct high-volume outbound calls and follow-up emails to initiate meaningful conversations with investment advisors.
- Book introductory and follow-up meetings for Executive Directors with both existing and prospective advisors.
- Assist with marketing material and documentation including assistance with fund documents, investment materials, and subscription processes.
- Support all inbound advisor queries and ensure timely resolution by liaising with fund operations and investor services.
- Support completion and tracking of subscription documents in partnership with Executive Directors and fund administrators.
- Maintain up-to-date activity logs, call notes, and pipeline details in CRM (Salesforce).
- Generate and maintain dashboards to track outreach activity, advisor engagement, and fund adoption metrics.
- Help coordinate territory events, webinars, and roadshows, and gain advisor commitment to participate.
Candidate Profile
- Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelors degree in Finance, Marketing, Business, or a related discipline.
- Interest in financial services, sales, investor relations, or wealth management.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; comfortable interacting with professionals on the phone and in written correspondence.

What You'll Do- Build a strategic investor relations strategy that provides appropriate education, clarity and guidance to investors and analysts to drive improved share price performance.
- Manage marketing efforts in the investor community including leading company road shows, conference participation and investor community meetings including institutional and retail participants.
- Collect feedback from key financial stakeholders through meetings, events and direct engagement, and present conclusions and recommendations to executive team and board as required.
- Develop investor relations focused material including the corporate investor presentations and maintain investor materials on company website.
- Lead and manage strategic communication efforts including quarterly earnings press releases, management discussion and analysis (MD&A) calls with investors and analysts, and other external communication efforts as required.
- Support internal communication efforts where required to ensure consistency with external message and company strategy.
- Successfully integrate capital markets strategy with DIRTT’s operational and financial efforts at executive level by working closely with the Commercial and Strategy Teams.
- Provide strategic direction to executive and board with respect to equity and debt markets and integrated capital markets strategy within the company’s short, medium and five year strategic outlook.
- Provide periodic capital markets reporting to executive and board.
- Support various governance reporting requirements including, ESG and Modern Slavery Act, as needed.
- A minimum of ten (10) years’ progressively senior level experience in an Analyst or Investor Relations capacity, with at least five (5) years in a leadership capacity, preferably in the construction industry and preferably in small cap markets.
- A minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Finance or related discipline; Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of SEC regulations, financial reporting, and corporate governance.
- Outstanding financial analysis skills and ability to explain financial results and KPIs and impact on future earnings.
- Professional certification such as the Investor Relations Charter (IRC) or Certified Investor Relations Professional (CIRP) is a plus.
- Familiarity with both Canadian and US IR markets.
- Knowledge of IR platforms, such as Irwin, preferred.
- Ability to assess risk to the corporation and make sound economic decisions.
- Ability to problem solve in order to meet company and partner needs.
- Knowledge of and experience in the furniture, technology and construction industry an asset.
- A proactive self-starter who can interact and function effectively as an individual contributor and as part of a larger team.
- Superior presentation and excellent oral and written communication skills.

About the Role
iCapital is looking to hire an Associate to join the International Investor Relations team with a focus on the Canadian market. This individual will work closely with internal teams and the fund administrator to help maintain and expand relationships across the region. This role will help to support banks, independent wealth managers, dealers and family offices across Canada and will primarily work in assisting them with their investments in iCapital's Canadian funds and on iCapital's technology platform.
The Investor Relations team supports investors, financial advisors, and home office personnel, assisting them with their investments on iCapital's technology platform, and works closely with fund sponsors using iCapital's platform for distribution. The team's goal is to optimize the client experience and ensure our clients' overall success.
Responsibilities
- Assist financial advisors and other wealth managers with the onboarding process, including website registration and the submission and remediation of client subscriptions, redemptions and transfers.
- Guide clients on capital calls, distributions and reporting.
- Provide on-going client support via phone and email, answering a wide variety of questions in a timely and accurate manner, with the goal of ensuring overall client satisfaction.
- Provide dedicated coverage of client accounts, working closely with internal relationship managers to support the clients' needs and objectives.
- Support high-profile fund managers in their fundraising efforts by assisting their clients through the subscription process and managing fund closings, with a strong dedication to successful client outcomes.
- Work closely with the fund administrator to ensure timely and accurate capital activity and account maintenance processing.
- Ensure client satisfaction by providing "white glove" service.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree is required
- 3-5 years of experience in financial services, preferably in a client service or investor relations role with exposure to alternative investments in Canada
- Knowledge of Fundserv, Canadian Fund Structures and Account types is a plus
- Experience with high-net-worth clients, financial advisors, and fund managers
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Able to meet deadlines and work effectively under pressure
- Proven ability to multi-task and work both independently and as a team player
- Proficient computer skills, specifically Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Fluency in French is a plus

**The Opportunity**
In a role that is critical to the success of real estate investor relations and capital formation efforts globally, we are seeking a highly motivated individual who can work well in a team environment and can support our overall investor relations efforts and contribute to capital formation and client strategy.
The role will plan and manage investor calls, meetings, project management, database management, technical editing/writing, research outputs and data analysis. The ideal candidate will have experience in the real estate industry with a strong desire to build a world class real estate investment management business. They will have had experience supporting and building plans for capital raising, project management, limited partner outreach and overall investor relations support. They should be proactive and effective in working in a fast paced, deadline driven environment, and can build partnerships cross-functionally.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a combination of outstanding communication and relationship-building skills, as well as robust processes for monitoring, tracking, and driving all aspects of fund formation and investor relations activities. Business maturity is a critical element to the chance to lead important client results with customized precision and within timelines.
Reporting directly to a Senior Managing Director, the candidate will also work with Directors within Private Markets and the real assets Business Development and Investor Relations team ("BDIR").
**Position Responsibilities:**
+ Establishing relationships with existing clients and their consultants to effectively serve as a "go to" resource for their client service needs.
+ Assist senior real estate leadership engrain institutional processes to client engagements broadly through pitches, onboarding, project management, capital analysis and research reporting.
+ Coordinate all aspects of investor experience including reporting, annual portfolio reviews, quarterly calls, Annual General Meetings, and communication processes working in partnership with investment teams, portfolio management, and each of the investment, finance/operations and legal/compliance teams.
+ Respond to client and prospect questions directly and help to manage data requests?Will include preparing materials for client portfolio reviews, annual meetings and investment offering materials in partnership with Private Markets team members.
+ Contribute to and coordinate the RFP/RFI process for real estate strategies with BDIR and the investment teams, and Private Markets Distribution Services. Participate in the content review process as a technical editor. Suggest edits for improved readability and ask for clarification where descriptions are unclear. Expand the knowledgebase by working on new content and developing new responses as needed.
+ Maintain a solid understanding of the existing client-side letters and strategy terms.
+ Help drive investor research strategy, manage and coordinate the aggregation of data for each real estate investment strategies in partnership with the investment, finance/operations and Private Markets team members.
+ Supervising the organization of and updates to the virtual data rooms for capital formation. Salesforce CRM responsibilities include contributing to database updates, maintaining opportunity tracking, running queries, and inputting client information.
+ Assist in marketing strategy design and execution, including but not limited to, the coordination of mailings, email communications and distribution lists with BDIR and Private Markets Marketing.
+ Support the development and implementation of systems, processes and controls to support the global data management process.
+ Assist with strategic capital raising and capital management initiatives as well as frequent ad hoc requests as needed.
**Required Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor's degree with a major in business, finance, with a preference for an MBA, CFA, CAIA or working towards one of these degrees/designations?
+ Minimum of 5-7 years' experience within investment management including direct client service and engagement, and marketing support responsibility. Knowledge of alternative asset classes, with a desire for understanding of real estate debt, equity and investment management?
+ A firm grasp of investment strategy and financial analysis and genuine curiosity about real estate is highly desirable.
+ Strong analytical skills with ability to manage and manipulate data.
