What you will do: 

• Providing Security Guard Services at Respite Center. 

• Monitoring and patrolling assigned areas; 

• Observing, investigating and acting on possible breaches of security, fire and safety hazards, illegal entry, theft, and malfunction or interruption of utilities; 

• Providing highly visible with professional knowledge of security protocols and the ability to react in multiple scenarios. 

• Acting as an ambassador of the client site by creating a presence that builds a safe and welcoming environment for all service users, employees, and visitors. Providing customer service, responding to inquiries and performing guarded tours along designated routes; 

• Informing the designated authorities in the event of security, fire, or health emergencies. Escorting designated authorities, police, fire, and ambulance personnel to emergency locations; 

• Documenting all security incidents into a clear, concise ,complete and accurate security incident report 

• Recording and maintaining logbook of daily activities, unusual or special occurrences and issuance of equipment to staff. 

• Enforcement of the Trespass to Property act including physically removing individuals found trespassing or engaging in criminal acts on premises or the assigned property. 

• Performing emergency response duties in accordance with the Emergency Response Manual. 

• Receiving/recording complaints, conducting investigations, preparing incident reports, and conducting follow up investigations; 

• Liaising with Shelter management to communicate any issues and challenges to site operations and reporting any health and safety concerns or fire and life safety concerns.  

Who you are: 

• 1 year of Canadian Police or Canadian Armed forces experience  

• Graduate from a recognized community college in thee field of law enforcement, security administration or related field, including justice studies, social service, mental health and/or healthcare 

• Minimum of two (2) years experience within North American security industry and experience in a related security function 

• Hands on experience with making or assisting arrests. 

• Eligible to work in Canada. 

• Strong communication and observation skills.  

• Ability to work in high stress environment.  

• Ability to make quick and informed decisions.  

• Licensed by the Province of Ontario as a registered Security Guard and must maintain the license for the duration of employment.

A.S.P. is looking for an Aviation Security Specialist, who will take pride in becoming an ambassador of the Airport and make every interaction professional and positive. A successful candidate will be required to work with integrity, respect, and take responsibility for the security and safety of the Lester B. Pearson Toronto International Airport.

What you will do:

• Monitoring, controlling, & shriveling of public areas, designated high profile/risk areas, check-in counters, and Baggage shutter.
• Reporting all known or suspected safety concerns, security breaches, criminal offenses, suspicious activities, unattended items, etc., to the SOC/IOC and Shift Lead with details.

• Maintaining daily shift reports, Incident report, Investigative Reports and submits before end of shift.
• Acts as an ambassador of the Airport Authority by offering customer services to the public.
• Maintaining and Inspecting company/client assigned equipment and tools (e.g. radio/cell phone, tablets) as per the standard.
• Assists management with OJT training and site familiarization of new Security Specialist recruits.
• Perform emergency response duties as per the Airport Emergency Response Manual.

Who you are:

• Minimum High School diploma or Grade 12 education.
• Minimum of Two (2) years employment with A.S.P. Incorporated and/or Three (3) to five (5) years of previous Security experience or any equivalent.
• Eligible to work in Canada.
• Must have a strong working knowledge of various security hardware, software, keying, and systems.
• Proficient computer skills such as Microsoft Office.

• Able to work in Rotation 24/7 shift schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Cloud Security Operations:
