ROAD MECHANIC Responsibilities Include:  

  • Fleet Maintenance & Repair

Summary

Under close supervision, the Diesel Technician I (Diesel Mechanic) performs minor routine maintenance and repair services on different types of vehicles. Works with the assistance of a T2, T3, T4, TIC SS or SM, when performing technical and diagnostic type repairs. Task assignments are directed by shop management to encourage development in a productive manner.

About the Job

This 310T Technician performs major and technically difficult diagnostics, repairs, and overhauls/rebuilds in a timely manner; ensuring quality, time standards, customer expectations, cost guidelines and reliability goals are met. The 310T Technician works on assignments requiring considerable judgment and mentors other Ryder technicians on a regular basis. The 310T Technician provides the highest level of experience and expertise in vehicle diagnostics and repair. The position also plays a key role in the leadership, development and training of other grade technicians.
