**What you can expect to do here:**
+ Lead the planning, scheduling, and execution of bridge construction projects, including grade separations, pedestrian bridges, and highway overpasses.
+ Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including structural engineers, inspectors, subcontractors, and municipal stakeholders.
+ Manage budgets, timelines, and procurement of materials and services.
+ Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and building codes.
+ Conduct site inspections and quality control assessments.
+ Prepare and maintain detailed project documentation including contracts, change orders, and progress reports.
+ Communicate regularly with clients, internal teams, and external partners to ensure alignment and resolve issues.
+ Support accelerated bridge construction techniques and innovative delivery models (e.g., CMGC, P3).
**What you'll bring to WSP:**
+ Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
+ Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation preferred.
+ PMP or equivalent project management certification is an asset.
+ Minimum 8 years of experience in bridge design and construction, including leadership roles.
+ Proven experience with large-scale infrastructure projects and government clients (e.g., MTO, Parks Canada).
+ Strong understanding of seismic design, post-tensioned concrete, and steel composite bridges.
+ Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Procore).
+ **Preferred Skills:**
+ Experience with accelerated bridge construction and segmental box girder bridges.
+ Familiarity with AREMA codes and railway bridge design.
+ Ability to lead and mentor junior engineers and site teams.
+ Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.

Position Summary
The Project Manager will lead multiple construction projects from inception to completion, overseeing design, permitting, procurement, and construction phases. They will manage project scope, contracts with subcontractors, control project schedules, and ensure quality assurance and control processes are followed. Responsibilities include budget management, processing invoices, and regular reporting to the executive team. The Project Manager will also provide leadership and technical guidance, actively contributing to the development of project management tools and processes. Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of multiple, simultaneous construction projects, from design, permitting, procurement, and through to construction and project close-out
- Ensure design reviews / page turning sessions are held with the stakeholders and own the sign-off process
- Manage contracts with subcontractors, including tenders and review of bids, and managing RFIs and change orders
- Take ownership of project schedule, and clearly understand critical path and opportunities to condense project schedule
- Ensure Quality Control / Quality Assurance process is adhered to and reviews are performed by testing agencies and consultants
- Schedule and attend site and/or virtual meetings on a regular/weekly basis
- Take ownership of the budget. Monitoring project performance through review of budget KPIs. Provide regular updates to executive team
- Review and processing of trade & vendor invoices
- Provide leadership and technical guidance to other team members
- Participate in the development of project management tools and processes

A hybrid role allows for flexibility with no mandated number of days required at the office location. However, Vertex encourages Project Managers to work towards office attendance with their teams 2-3 days per week.

- Salaried compensation is commensurate with education and experience and includes:
- 11 stat holidays (applicable after 30 days of employment)
- 6 personal days provided annually. These days reset every calendar year. These days are to be utilized in alignment with Vertex s policy for personnel days
