About the Role

As a Project Manager, Capital Planning, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing capital projects from inception to completion. This role involves strategic budgeting and coordination of resources to ensure projects align with organizational goals and financial constraints. You will work closely with stakeholders to identify project requirements, develop detailed plans and execute projects efficiently, while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and managing associated risks with capital investments. To be successful, you will combine strong leadership, analytical & communication skills to deliver projects on time and within budget.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performing reserve fund study, performance audit, and building condition assessments for the owners and operators of industrial, commercial, residential, and institutional buildings;
  • Develop detailed project plans, including scope, budget, timeline and resource allocation
  • Conducting on-site review and documentation of site work, structural framing, building envelope, mechanical systems, plumbing equipment, electrical systems, conveying equipment, and interior finishes;
  • Drafting and finalizing reports and communicating the results of reviews to the client, including meetings with clients as needed;
  • Maintaining open communication with internal and external stakeholders, including changes in services/scope of work, identifying potential risks/project challenges and managing expectations;
  • Consulting on apparent life-cycle, remaining life, and probable repair or replacement strategies;
  • Developing Class D, order-of-magnitude, cost estimates for the strategies;
  • Formulating cash flow scenarios related to short-, medium-, and long-term repair and replacement needs;
  • Providing input, as required, on project execution strategies from the perspective of overall efficiency, creativity, and technical acumen;
  • Assisting in continuous improvement of the department's work such as BIM modelling, data analysis and forecasts, and AI; 
  • Assisting with proposal requests, including preparing proposals and attending mandatory site visits; and,
  • Performing other duties as assigned. 
Qualifications

  • In depth knowledge of costing construction systems and assemblies (including site work, structural framing, building envelope, mechanical systems, plumbing equipment, electrical systems, conveying equipment, and interior finishes);
  • Completion of post-secondary education (college or university) in a related field (civil or structural engineering, building or architectural science, mechanical engineering, or an applied science);
  • P. Eng., M.A.A.T.O., C.E.T., PQS, RICS or C. Tech designations or eligibility to obtain is considered an asset;
  • Health & Safety training requirements in construction projects also considered an asset;
  • Passionate about science, technology, engineering, math, finances, and problem-solving;
  • Meticulous attention to details;
  • Excellent verbal & written communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to find positive solutions to complex and sensitive issues;
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities within a complex and growing organization;
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (especially Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams), SharePoint, One Drive;
  • Willing to work in a hybrid environment and travel on short notice across Canada;
  • Be able to work in all weather conditions, and
  • Must have a valid G driver’s license/insurance and have access to a vehicle with valid registration and insurance.

Essential Responsibilities & Duties

  • Lead and provide technical guidance on complex infrastructure planning projects within any or all of our water, wastewater or stormwater practices.

  • Perform specialized technical tasks such as cost estimation, servicing strategy development, and network analysis, leveraging your expertise in water, wastewater, or stormwater infrastructure.

 Minimum Qualifications 

  • At least 8-10 years of relevant experience in infrastructure planning, particularly within the water, wastewater, and stormwater sectors.
  • Professional qualifications in engineering, planning, or a related field preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with Canadian/GTA municipalities, servicing analysis, and network analysis.
  • Experience with GTA master planning and Class EA processes.
  • Solid background in municipal engineering design and construction is a plus.
    Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to lead client-facing interactions and collaborate effectively within diverse project teams.
    • Proficiency in GIS tools, and hydraulic modeling software is a plus

**Software Implementation Project Manager, Global Services**
**Position Overview**
As part of the Enterprise Delivery Division of Customer Experience, the Project Manager has an overall responsibility for the successful planning, executing, monitoring, controlling, and closing of Intelex system implementations.
**Responsibilities and Deliverables**
**Implementation Support**
+ Lead, plan and organize all phases of projects in collaboration with (Sr.) Solution Architects and (Sr.) Project Consultants to develop project plans that align to the requirements and effort of client solutions.
+ Effectively communicates with the client, Intelex project team and other cross-functional departments in order to ensure all project requirements and milestones are understood and delivered according to the project plan.
+ Coordinates project requirements with clients in order to ensure complete alignment on project deliverables.
+ Ensures all client information / data requirements are received and communicated.
+ Creates and executes project plans and revises as appropriate in order to meet requirements.
+ Facilitates the day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope, including project budget.
+ Effectively applies implementation methodology and enforces project standards.
+ Identify, assess, and mitigate project exposure and risk, anticipating challenges, and provide escalation management when necessary.
**Operations**
+ Responsible for project profitability, revenue, margins, bill rates and utilization.
+ Identifies business development and "add-on" sales opportunities.
+ Resolves and/or escalates issues in a timely fashion.
+ Effectively utilizes each team member to their fullest potential.
+ Sets and manages client expectations.
+ Effectively communicates with clients to identify needs and evaluate business solutions.
+ Continually seeks opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen client relationships.
+ Contributes towards the continual improvement of our service delivery models.
+ Travel to client locations. Expected travel is 10%-30%.

+ Reports to the Manager, Project Management Office

**Qualifications**
**Skills & Work Traits**
**Required:**
+ 3+ Years Project Management experience delivering SaaS solutions
+ Ability to maintain strategic relationships with various internal and external parties such as clients, vendors, employees and executives.
+ Strong written and verbal skills; including the ability to present technical issues to a non-technical audience.
+ Strong understanding of the software implementation project lifecycle including waterfall and agile methodologies.
+ Results driven with a proven ability to project a positive sales attitude.
+ Ability to understand business needs in order to align the business need into system capabilities.
+ Communicates changes effectively, builds commitment and overcomes resistance, prepares and supports those affected by the change.
+ Experience managing complex enterprise projects and demonstrate a track record of delivering results.
**Preferred:**
+ Understanding of Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
+ PRINCE2, PMP or relevant Project Management Certification
+ Understanding of Environmental, Health, Safety or Quality considered an asset.
**Technical Competencies**
**Required:**
+ Prior experience with MS Office and in-depth experience with MS Project
**Preferred:**
+ Strong understanding of application architecture and design principles
**Education**
**Required:**
+ Bachelor's Degree or College Diploma in Computer Science/Information Systems, or equivalent Experience.
**Preferred:**
+ PMP certification, preferred.

Your Key Responsibilities
- Managing multi-disciplinary project teams.

- Lead project coordination and client/site meetings with internal team members and/or external consultants, clients, contractors and sub-contractors.
- Manage and track change orders, applications for payment by contractors and other contractual modifications impacting budget and schedule.
- Manage permit application processes.
- Evaluate, advise on and assist in resolving disputes and claims.
- Support business development and proposal preparation.
Your Capabilities and Credentials
- Progressive experience in the buildings engineering industry from preliminary. to detailed design, and construction administration.
- Experience with projects under various jurisdictions (regional and municipal)
- Demonstrated ability as a project manager of multi-disciplinary project teams.
- Effectively manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with clients and external stakeholders.
- Experience with business development and proposal preparation.
- Excellent negotiator and communicator.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
- Minimum 5 years of proven experience managing large-scale projects independently.
Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may require travel and include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.

Position Summary

Required Skills and Qualifications
+ Undergraduate degree or diploma in a related field of study such as Civil Engineering, Construction Management or Project Management is strongly preferred
+ 6-10 years relevant project experience in a heavy civil construction environment, including a thorough knowledge of construction industry practices, methods, processes, and standards and their impact on project activities.
+ A minimum of 3 years experience in a leadership capacity managing construction projects
+ Professional designation such as Professional Engineer or Project Management Professional is considered to be an asset but is not required.
+ Demonstrated experience applying knowledge of project accounting, project controls (cost, schedule, change management, etc.), material management, contract management, subcontract management, safety, and quality.
