Are you a driven project leader passionate about optimizing operational performance? Sodexo Canada is seeking an Operational Excellence – Project Delivery Manager to lead project planning and execution for new account mobilizations and processes. In this dynamic role, you'll ensure seamless and compliant account launches by aligning cross-functional teams, assessing risks, and delivering data-driven insights that drive continuous improvement and client satisfaction.

You will collaborate closely with Sales, Operations, Facilities, IT, Marketing, and more, acting as a strategic project manager and centralized point of contact. Your leadership will help ensure new accounts launch smoothly, meet client expectations, and support Sodexo’s commitment to excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments to identify and mitigate contract, operational, or financial risks that could impact profitability or client satisfaction.
  • Collaborate across departments to align strategies and ensure timely execution of new business mobilizations and rebids.
  • Monitor new account performance, enforce accountability, and provide ongoing support during the critical early phases of contract delivery.
  • Develop and implement tailored KPIs and dashboards to evaluate individual department performance within new contracts, delivering insights that drive continuous improvement.
  • Create and manage detailed project and mobilization plans, ensuring alignment with client expectations and organizational goals.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal teams and clients during mobilizations, maintaining transparent communication and providing on-site leadership where needed.
  • Lead the shift toward standardized, centralized mobilization processes, using digital tools and automation to enhance efficiency and contract compliance
Qualifications

What You'll Need to Succeed: 

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
  • Experience: 3–5 years in project management, including risk analysis, client management, and cross-functional coordination; experience with sales and contract support.
  • Certifications: PMP, Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, or Lean certification (preferred).
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with tools like Microsoft Project, Excel, Tableau, Power BI, DocuSign, SAP, Teams, and more.
  • Key Strengths: Strong communication, project leadership, and analytical skills; collaborative and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Language: Fluent in English; French an asset.
  • Work Environment: Monday–Friday schedule with occasional evenings/weekends; travel 1–5x per year across Canada.

**About the Role:**

WHAT DOES THE ROLE INVOLVE?

Traditional agency experience is not required, but it’s a plus. What matters is your deep understanding of what resonates with social audiences. As the Project Manager you will own all the workstreams across a key fast-paced account, looking after internal teams of creatives and strategists, as well as being a key client contact for our account on delivery of social organic and paid assets.

You will draw on your existing knowledge of how creative and content is produced and how to successfully deliver daily, while demonstrating solid Project Management skills – including scoping work, documenting key deliverables and associated timings and cost, booking resources, and managing a project team with focus on hitting deadlines, and be confident managing projects from start to completion.

You need to be a natural communicator, friendly and approachable with a good attention to detail and accuracy in all communication, whether internal or external. As one of the main client contacts, good client management skills is key, managing your own time, and setting expectations for the client for what will be delivered when.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Proven PM skills within a creative agency culture, including writing/updating timing plans, budgets, delivery plans and managing resources within your team
  • Take ownership of retainer and project deliverables across your projects and see them through until completion
  • Strong with finances, you understand that effort equals budget-spend, and you stay on top of budgets throughout all your projects. This includes ongoing reconciliations.
  • Used to managing clients and managing client expectations and comms in partnership with your client services counterparts. You will be working closely with the client service team who own the client relationships, however having the finesse of being client facing is necessary.
  • Used to working in a very fast paced environment, managing change in a multi workstream and multi team culture
  • Confident managing a variety of work intended for digital and traditional platforms including social and editorial content, experiential and production ideas
  • Good social platform knowledge and understand what audiences look for in social content, know formats and platform restrictions well
  • Familiar with agency turn-around times and ways of working – good understanding of the dynamics of agency processes and enjoy the pace and challenges this brings
  • Proactive when it comes to foreseeing problems, and can articulate these to the relevant people when required
  • Proactive when it come to managing profitability of your projects - monitoring costs and proactively communicate overruns/financial issues to your senior team member in a timely manner
  • Ensure all work is paid for – and that client requests are costed and approved before work is booked for production
  • Flexible approach to working hours as some show launches/shoots/interviews may happen outside of standard working hours
  • Ensures all work is signed off at the right stages, by the right people (both internal sign-off, and client approvals, e.g. of creative ideas or video assets)

REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS ROLE

  • 4+ years working as in a creative agency environment in a project management role
  • Proficient in mastering an agency finance system and tools
  • A champion of process, and can educate others around them to adopt the same process proficiency
  • Good with finances and figures (‘head for numbers’), experience leading cross functional estimates, building Statements of Work, and handling BCRs
  • Experience managing creative production from digital content, integrated brand campaigns, including but not limited to third party vendor management
  • Good at managing people and understand how to get the best out of a team and a client
  • Good communicator – both with internal and external individuals, and client
  • Positive, with a ‘can-do’ attitude, attention to detail - and someone who describes themselves as a ‘people person’. This role is external facing, and with that you will be interacting with internal teams, clients and other agency partners. Loving people is a must!
