**Your Key Responsibilities**

* Work collaboratively with and lead multi-disciplinary project and technical staff in developing solutions to project challenges and establish project objectives, procedures, and performance standards.

**Your Capabilities and Credentials**
* Specialized project management skills, with experience in organizing, planning, and executing public and private projects from pursuit through closeout, involving internal personnel, contractors, and vendors.
* Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to convey program and project delivery needs to the client and to formulate those needs into comprehensive proposals.
* Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to work on multiple projects and activities simultaneously.
* The position involves work associated with critical infrastructure; therefore, a client background check is required.
* Strong technical understanding of large infrastructure, organizations and processes required.
* Demonstrated successful experience in leadership, including defining and setting the direction for a team, and project; strategy development; change management; and corporate stewardship.
* Knowledgeable in relevant areas of construction and understanding of various design and construction contracting methods and processes.
* Knowledge of local, and federal building codes, construction principles, techniques and procedures, occupational hazards, and safety precautions.
* Experience supporting sales processes for acquisition of new program opportunities and startup of new capital infrastructure programs is desirable.
* Ability to be an independent thinker capable of solving problems within a team environment by analyzing technical issues, applying underlying principles, and delivering cost-effective solutions that provide value to clients.
* Travel to local and out-of-province project sites and client offices will be required.
**Education and Experience**
* Minimum 10 years' relevant experience in project management preferably for large engineering, design, and construction projects
* Minimum 5 years relevant experience leading a team of project managers and project management support staff.
* Bachelor's degree in engineering or sciences, master's degree is considered an asset.
* Project Management Professional (PMP) or Professional Engineer (PE) is preferred.

The Role
Working with the Manager, Project Engineering, this position is primarily responsible for reviewing and stamping Heat tracing deliverables and provide professional technical services, and support to Thermon customers.
NOTE: This is a contract position for a period of 1 year and has a potential for an extension. Contractors are encouraged to apply.
What You Will Do
- Responsible for the review of all project specifications and documentation necessary to develop a thorough understanding of the scope of work.
- Responsible for developing the Project Design Criteria (if applicable)
- Responsible for communicating project requirements to the team members, along with expectations on quality, schedule or other restrictions of technical nature
- Responsible to ensure that all team members follow established process and procedure including Thermon Design guide, Project Execution Guide, Quality Plan and take corrective actions where deficiencies occur
- Responsible to lead all technical aspects of the project, including but not limited to project set-up, choice of technical tools to be used in the project, identifying the roles of the team members, appropriately allocating work within the team.
- Responsible for identifying and evaluating scope creep in the project and communicating it to the Project Manager.
- Responsible for maintaining the Project Design folder structure
- Provides input in the development of Global and Regional tools and procedures as required
- Responsible for reviewing all the engineering deliverables for quality assurance and applying professional engineering stamps on approved documents.
Knowledge & Qualifications
- 2-6 years experience in manufacturing industry
- Has Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical engineering
- Proficiency in Primavera or MS Project is required.
- Experience in working with Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook Excel

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A PROJECT MANAGER
As a Project Manager, you play a key role in ensuring that projects are completed on time to our quality standards. To the property owner, adjuster, and insurance company, you are the face of our company. You establish trust as you consult with clients about projects, answering their questions and following up with them to ensure complete satisfaction. You prepare accurate quotations, job costing, and estimating.
Throughout each project you manage, you inspect progress and work quality to ensure that emergency and rebuild timelines are met and in alignment with policy and guidelines. You manage all sorts of restoration claims including water damage, fire damage to both residential and commercial properties. As necessary, you resolve disputes and complaints cheerfully and in a professional manner.
