**In this role, you will:**
+ Design the automation framework from scratch.
+ Design, develop and maintain automated test scripts using Java TestNG and Selenium.

**In this role, you will:**

**What you'll need to succeed (required skills):**
+ **Minimum of 6-10 Yrs. of experience in test automation with at least 2+ yrs. of hands-on automation testing using Python and 4+ years in other automation tool.**
+ Must be proficient in Robot Framework (UI Automation) and possess strong Python scripting abilities.
+ **Must have good experience with SQL database and writing complex SQL queries.**
+ Good experience in a QE/test environment with a focus on technical, automated testing in a variety of environments (cloud, distributed and mainframe, business workflows and services/APIs, databases).
+ Experience in a variety of test automation frameworks/tools e.g., (Cucumber, Robot Framework, SoapUI, Selenium, TestNG) and script development using Python.
+ Familiarity with GitHub Co-pilot, leveraging AI technology for QE tasks.
+ Good knowledge with QE Processes, methodologies and Test Design techniques.
+ Good knowledge of ALM, JIRA and Confluence.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
1. **Design and Development:**

The Opportunity:Sonatus is looking for an experienced System Test Engineer with deep expertise in AI testing to lead quality efforts across AI-driven embedded and cloud-connected systems. This role centers on validating AI model deployment, monitoring, and automation within innovative automotive and cloud environments.
Role and Responsibility:- Collaborate with diverse teams to define testing strategies for challenging and innovative projects.
- Develop and execute detailed test plans using a combination of automation and manual testing.
- Triage integration issues, replicate problems, and assist in identifying root causes and solutions.
- Escalate potential issues (Software, Hardware, Resources) to the Project Manager/Executive team.
- Track testing activities, ensuring clear alignment across key stakeholders
- Identify areas for improvement in test coverage and methodology, providing valuable suggestions.
- Act as the gatekeeper for each release, representing the voice of customers and providing constructive feedback.
- Work with the development team to orchestrate AI model deployment and monitoring
- A bachelor's degree (MS preferred) in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or other related fields is required.
- Minimum 5-8 years of experience in embedded software in data centers, networking, security, cloud services, or the automotive industry.
- Proficient in test methodologies with experience in system-level testing of physical devices.
- Familiarity with the Linux command line and proficiency in shell scripting.
- Familiarity with Quality Assurance for the Cloud Platform developed on private and public Cloud Infrastructure.
- Strong expertise in AI fundamentals, neural networks, and model deployment
- Strong experience in E2E testing of cloud-controlled / monitored embedded products.
- Strong experience in testing OTA / FOTA functionalities.
- Review and challenge product requirements, design, and functional specifications.
- Proficient in developing, reviewing, and modifying Python scripts to enhance test coverage.
- Experience with designing and implementing test tools for AIML automation and deployment
- Familiarity with common test frameworks such as PyTest, Playwright, Behave, or similar.
- Familiarity with test tools like Vector CANoe, VehicleSpy, PEAK, Spirent, IXIA, or similar products is a plus
- Proficiency in JIRA, Jenkins, or similar tools.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.

**The primary responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:**
+ Entering and keeping updated detailed certification requirements in JIRA (issue tracking system) which includes test steps and pass criteria.
+ Working closely with internal test resources to do certification on a semi-regular basis (both automated and manual).
+ Creating automated test cases specific to certification where needed to fill gaps.
+ Ensuring each JIRA has all the information (e.g. logs, versions) needed and descriptions are accurate.
+ Working closely with the development team to look into issues, deep dive logs and develop solutions in the code.
+ Working closely with Product Owners/Managers to ensure all customer requirements related to certification are being tracked.
+ Ensuring feedback and issues received from external test houses and partners are entered into JIRA immediately.
+ Reviewing and driving certification issues on a daily basis. Ensuring each issue has an up to date accurate daily status.
+ Immediate handling of waivers, exceptions and grants (on a next day basis when possible). Working closely with internal teams to get the information needed for these.
+ Working with finance as needed to create purchase orders needed for external test houses.
+ Ordering and setup of benches needed for external test houses. Ensuring benches are configured correctly before shipment.
+ Being the liaison/support between partners / test houses and internal Ford teams.
+ Working with internal release managers and external partners to create accurate release plans and certification schedules for all of Ford's vehicle lines and software releases.
+ Having a good technical understanding of the technologies being used.
**Minimum Requirements:**
**Education:**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline. (Successful candidates will be required to provide proof of degree completion for the highest level of education attained. If the degree was obtained from a school outside of Canada, an Education Credential Assessment report showing Canadian equivalency is also required.)
**Experience:**
+ Minimum 3 years of experience working with infotainment or related embedded systems.
+ Minimum 2 years of experience in product management/ownership and agile process (or similar experience).
+ Minimum 3 years experience in Automotive Testing.
**Preferred Requirements:**
**Experience:**
+ Experience working with Android Auto and/or CarPlay.
+ Working knowledge of Python automated testing environment and frameworks such as slash or pytest.
+ with continuous integration system (Jenkins).
+ Detail oriented and adept at detecting and diagnosing software defects.
+ Ability to analyze large set of logs and identify root cause.
+ Experience with certification or similar project experience.
+ Proficiency in communication, interpersonal and analytical skills.
+ Excellent organizational and project management skills.
+ Comfortable working in a fast paced environment with cross functional global teams.
