**District Overview**
Kiewit Energy Canada is headquartered in Calgary, Alberta. We are a major industrial contractor that work on projects that involve construction of oil & gas facilities such as oilsands processing, including steam-assisted gravity drainage facilities, upgrading & refining, midstream facilities, power & co-generation, terminal projects (ex. LNG, LPG, etc.), and major mine developments. Our engineering branch is a leading-edge division that offers innovative engineering services for our current projects and new pursuits in Canada.

**Responsibilities**
Field Engineering:
- Assist in interpretation of drawings and specifications for field crews and craft supervision
- Perform quantity calculations by taking measurements and determining percentage of completed/installed materials and work
- Assist in the preparation of work plans and work packages
- Assist in field surveying and work layout support including elevation, control points, and compilation of as-built data
- Assist in compiling, processing, and confirming daily labor timesheets
- Assist in the preparation of Job Hazard Analysis (JHA's)
- Participate in jobsite safety reviews, toolbox meetings, mass safety meetings, and safety training
- Order and schedule material deliveries
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate work groups on the jobsite
- Supervise field operations
Office Engineering:
- Perform material takeoffs from drawings, specifications, and other contract documents
- Perform basic engineering calculations and technical drafting to support field operations
- Assist engineers to gather and prepare data for submittal or transmittal to the customer, vendors, subcontractors, governmental agencies, and internal use
- Participate in the preparation of purchase orders and subcontracts, performing minor solicitations and purchasing as requested
- Schedule maintenance and performing updates as directed by others
- Assist in the maintenance of basic project recordkeeping and correspondence functions including daily reports, photographs, requests for information (RFIs), and memorandums
- Enter data into the job cost system and participate in reviewing cost reports with jobsite management
- Assist in generating change orders and as-built data to be reviewed by the Project Manager
- Provide field support and supervise subcontractor operations
Estimating:
- Assist in reviewing and analyzing historical data relative to the project, incorporating various productions and costs appropriate in preparation of a bid
- Complete a plan and specification review for an assigned project, assessing the risk areas and bringing them to the attention of the Senior Estimator
- Complete material and quantity takeoffs according to bid documents
**Qualifications**
- Ability to travel and relocate as needed
- Undergraduate or graduate degree in mechanical, electrical engineering, and construction management or related degree
- Ability to freely access all points of a construction site in a wide-ranging climates and environments
- Highly motivated, with a demonstrated passion for excellence and taking initiative
- Strong work ethic, willing to do what it takes to get the job done right the first time
- Demonstrated commitment to ethics and integrity
- Passion for safety, with the ability to help us ensure that nobody gets hurt
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills

Partner Staffing on behalf of our Client an energy manufacturing company, we are seeking a Process Engineer-in-Training (EIT) located in Edmonton or Calgary who will play a key role providing technical expertise and support across all phases of process design and execution. Working closely with cross-functional engineering disciplines, the EIT will be responsible for developing process deliverables, supporting project execution, and contributing to the advancement of the energy product portfolio.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and review process package simulations.
- Perform vessel and line sizing for major process systems.
- Prepare and review Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
- Assist with the preliminary selection of process-related sub-vendor equipment.
- Conduct hydraulic calculations and PSV sizing (including inlet/outlet tail pipes and flare header sizing).
- Perform control valve sizing and overpressure protection analysis by system design.
- Provide process engineering support to multi-disciplinary teams.
- Participate in internal job reviews to enhance efficiency and execution quality.
- Support the development of innovative solutions to expand company product offerings.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering.
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) designation with APEGA.
- Knowledge of Aspen suite software (HYSYS, EDR, Flare System Analyzer).
- Familiarity with gas processing, plant layout, and equipment design.
- Working knowledge of ASME Section VIII and B31.3.
- Strong ability to interpret technical data sheets and drawings.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.

About the Role
This position is ideal for a results-driven leader with strong technical knowledge of
solar energy systems. You will manage all aspects of project delivery, including planning,
permitting, procurement, scheduling, and on-site execution. This position will play a vital
role in developing and guiding our growing project delivery team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the full project lifecycle for commercial and utility-scale solar installations.
- Develop project plans, budgets, and schedules; track progress and maintain reporting for
internal and client stakeholders.
- Coordinate engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) activities, including vendor
and subcontractor management.
- Manage contracts, permits, purchase orders, and project documentation.
- Oversee on-site execution, including construction progress, quality assurance, and
adherence to safety standards and regulations.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to keep projects on track.

Qualifications

time.
- Proficiency in project management software (MS Project, Primavera, or similar) and
financial tracking tools.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- PMP or equivalent certification considered an asset.
- Ability to travel up to 30% to project sites across Canada.
