Type: Full-time
Compensation: Guaranteed Base + Uncapped Commission | Total Earnings $125–150K+ (depending on experience)

The Opportunity We’re looking for a design-savvy, driven, and motivational Sales Leader to oversee the Alberta North region, leading the Edmonton Sales Team and growing market share across the commercial and residential design sectors. What You’ll Do As the Alberta North Sales Manager , you will:
- Lead and Inspire: Manage, mentor, and motivate a talented sales team to exceed individual and regional targets.
- Drive Growth: Develop and execute strategic sales plans to expand market presence and achieve revenue goals.
- Champion Design: Partner with architects, interior designers, engineers, and specifiers to bring visions to life with design-forward solutions.
- Be the Expert: Offer technical expertise to support both clients and internal teams.
- Collaborate for Impact: Work closely with marketing, operations, and purchasing teams to align strategies and elevate the brand’s market position.
- Stay Ahead: Track market trends, competitor activity, and emerging technologies to inform business decisions.
- Represent the Brand: Travel throughout the region to meet clients, attend industry events, and strengthen partnerships.
- A seasoned sales professional with 10+ years in B2B lighting, furniture, or other design-related industries.
- A proven leader with at least 5 years managing high-performing teams.
- Well-connected within the architecture and design community —you know the key specifiers, firms, and decision-makers in your region.
- Equipped with strong technical knowledge and a passion for design excellence.
- A strategic thinker who can translate insights into actionable growth plans.
- Tech-savvy with CRMs, reporting tools, and cloud-based collaboration platforms.
- A confident communicator and presenter, skilled in building trust and influencing decisions.
- Willing to travel within Alberta North to maintain strong market presence and client relationships.

JOB PURPOSE
Reporting to the Director of Sales, the Territory Sales Manager will service, train, educate and sell Mevotech products to current and prospective accounts across Alberta, CA by promoting the Mevotech brand, product quality, competitive advantages, identifying growth opportunities, performing training classes, building relationships with decision makers, and regularly visiting customers in the specified territory.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and maintain an understanding of the competitive environment, market conditions and the strategic objectives established for the territory
- Generating leads while maintaining and growing long term relationships with key strategic clients
- Educate customers on all Mevotech products to help them increase their sales
- Give sales presentations to a range of prospective clients.
- Conduct customer and installer training classes, lunch & learns and webinars
- Schedule and plan customer and installer visits, and establish priority, call and meeting frequency
- Identify and target accounts for increased market penetration and implement business plans to achieve expansion (market share and margin)
- Support changeovers and warranty requests
- Prepare reports on Salesforce.
- Always maintain the highest level of professional conduct, integrity, and credibility
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- 5+ years’ experience working in industrial sales, heavy duty parts, OEM equipment, or automotive aftermarket
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing or related field
- Self-starter with the ability to make things happen
- Results-oriented and track record of consistently meeting/exceeding sales quotas
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build strong business partnerships both outside, and within the organization
- Proven success adapting in fast-growing and changing environments

The Commercial Sales Manager is responsible for individual and team sales performance of the assigned business region and pursue optimum efficiency and maximize profit. Builds relationships with existing customer base and prospect for new opportunities to grow Region Commercial market share.
May include;
- Service existing accounts, obtains orders, and establishes new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential sales outlets and other trade factors.
- Design and execute sales strategies, policies, and programs for Roof Tops (RTU), Ductless and Variable Refrigerant Volume (VRV) product growth.
- Resolves customer issues by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations to management.
- Promote strong business relations with all internal and external associates. Promote and exemplify corporate values and standards.
- Collaborate with Marketing and Sales departments on specifications, cost, compatibility and availability of products as compared to needs for the RTU, Ductless and VRV Channels, as well as achieve growth especially in strategic product lines.
- Organize customer base training events, tradeshows and product launches, as it relates to the RTU and Ductless products.
- Develop business relationships with mechanical contractors and maintain a substantial installation network with-in the region / area.
- Participate in additional projects/activities to support ongoing business needs and sales growth.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Understanding of the HVAC contracting business
- Ability to read and understand construction documents/drawings
- Strong customer service skills and relationship management skills with the ability to generate new business through creating and carrying out a sales plan
- Working knowledge of MS Office – Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Effective Project Management skills, working knowledge of PM software, experience with Asana is a plus
- Ability to establish positive working relationships with internal and external customers and employees
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
- Change management skills- implementing new processes and procedures
- Demonstrated analytical and problem solving techniques
- Effective organizational and time management skills including ability to prioritize and on-time completion of projects
