Salary Range: Guaranteed Base + Uncapped Commission. Compensation and commission rates are based on experience.

Our Client is a leading national lighting supplier with offices and flagship showrooms across Canada, showcasing some of the most beautiful lighting collections in the world.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
The ideal candidate is a seasoned Commercial Lighting Sales and Leadership Professional in Edmonton, who is passionate about lighting, with strong technical lighting knowledge and design savviness as our Client is known for representing the world’s most beautiful decorative lighting collections.
This candidate should have approx. 10 years of lighting sales experience plus 5 years of leadership experience. This individual has experience working with interior designers, lighting designers, architects, landscape architects, engineers, and other design specifiers and can romanticize architectural lighting using technical language.
The ideal candidate can manage their own accounts plus managing and mentoring a team of Outside and Inside Sales Representatives. This person has their own network of commercial specifiers and client network and can identify and pursue new business opportunities.
ABOUT THE ROLE
- Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve revenue targets and market expansion goals within the Edmonton.
- Lead Edmonton Sales Team to provide guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback to ensure individual and team success.
- Provide technical lighting knowledge to sales and operations staff.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients, distributors, contractors, and industry stakeholders.
- Specify core brands with the architecture and design community to achieve design forward lighting solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, customer service and purchasing to align strategies and drive business growth.
- Prepare and deliver sales presentations, proposals, and reports to clients and senior management.
- Monitor competitor activities and market trends, providing insights to guide strategic decision-making.
- Travel within the region to meet with clients, attend industry events, and conduct market research.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Interior Design, Architecture or Engineering. MBA is an asset
- Proven track record of approx. 10 years in B2B sales, with approx. 5 years in a leadership or managerial role within the lighting industry or related sectors
- Strong understanding of lighting products, technologies, and industry trends
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a sales team to achieve targets
- Results-oriented mindset with a proven ability to drive sales growth
- Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze market data and develop actionable plans
- Proficiency in NetSuite and Google suite an asset
- Willingness to travel within the assigned region as needed
