Your Opportunity
Stantec is seeking a Project Management Lead to join our team - we have exciting projects and ongoing pursuits! You will lead a team of project managers, project controllers, and other project management support personnel responsible for the successful execution of a program of energy and resources projects . In this position, Project Management lead directs and supervises activities related to stakeholder deliverables, contract administration, change orders, submittals, procurement, project financial projections, and schedule requirements to ensure projects meet quality expectations and are delivered, on time and on budget while adhering to our client's and Stantec's Safety culture.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Providing day-to-day guidance to a team of project managers, project controllers, schedulers, estimators, and other project management support personnel
- Responsible for managing some projects within the program as project manager, managing scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risk in compliance with Stantec's PM framework.
- Work collaboratively with and lead multi-disciplinary project and technical staff in developing solutions to project challenges and establish project objectives, procedures, and performance standards.
- Interact internally throughout the organization with staff at all levels as well as externally with clients.
- Exercise initiative in addressing problem situations and work collaboratively to resolve most project delivery-related matters.
- Lead by example with active support of internal policies and practices, including risk management, project management, and quality management.
- Develop and foster client relationships to facilitate project activities.
- Maintain and enhance our reputation with clients, approval agencies and industry professionals as an outstanding service provider.
Your Capabilities and Credentials
- Specialized project management skills, with experience in organizing, planning, and executing public and private projects from pursuit through closeout, involving internal personnel, contractors, and vendors.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to convey program and project delivery needs to the client and to formulate those needs into comprehensive proposals.
- Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to work on multiple projects and activities simultaneously.
- The position involves work associated with critical infrastructure; therefore, a client background check is required.
- Strong technical understanding of large infrastructure, organizations and processes required.
- Demonstrated successful experience in leadership, including defining and setting the direction for a team, and project; strategy development; change management; and corporate stewardship.
- Knowledgeable in relevant areas of construction and understanding of various design and construction contracting methods and processes.
- Knowledge of local, and federal building codes, construction principles, techniques and procedures, occupational hazards, and safety precautions.
- Experience supporting sales processes for acquisition of new program opportunities and startup of new capital infrastructure programs is desirable.
- Ability to be an independent thinker capable of solving problems within a team environment by analyzing technical issues, applying underlying principles, and delivering cost-effective solutions that provide value to clients.
- Travel to local and out-of-province project sites and client offices will be required.
Education and Experience
- Minimum 10 years' relevant experience in project management preferably for large engineering, design, and construction projects
- Minimum 5 years relevant experience leading a team of project managers and project management support staff.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or sciences, master's degree is considered an asset.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or Professional Engineer (PE) is preferred.

The Role

Working with the Manager, Project Engineering, this position is primarily responsible for reviewing and stamping Heat tracing deliverables and provide professional technical services, and support to Thermon customers.

  • Responsible for the review of all project specifications and documentation necessary to develop a thorough understanding of the scope of work.
  • Responsible for developing the Project Design Criteria (if applicable)

  • Responsible to ensure that all team members follow established process and procedure including Thermon Design guide, Project Execution Guide, Quality Plan and take corrective actions where deficiencies occur
  • Responsible to lead all technical aspects of the project, including but not limited to project set-up, choice of technical tools to be used in the project, identifying the roles of the team members, appropriately allocating work within the team.
  • Responsible for identifying and evaluating scope creep in the project and communicating it to the Project Manager.

  • Responsible for reviewing all the engineering deliverables for quality assurance and applying professional engineering stamps on approved documents.

+ Complete daily paperwork, including reports, client emails, smart sheets, and quality control paperwork.

**Essential Skills**
+ Experience in machine installation, pumps, compressors, and gear boxes.

We are seeking an experienced Lead Millwright to join our clients team. The role involves working on new construction projects, primarily focusing on the installation of pumps, motors, compressors, gear boxes, turbines, and conveyors. The ideal candidate will have experience leading smaller crews and interacting with clients on-site while managing work and hands-on tasks. This position covers a variety of projects across Alberta and Saskatchewan.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage smaller crews of 2-15 members.
  • Oversee and update clients on project progress.
  • Ensure the correct equipment is ordered and available on-site.
  • Complete daily paperwork, including reports, client emails, smart sheets, and quality control paperwork.
  • Install and level pumps, motors, compressors, gear boxes, turbines, and conveyor systems from grout work up.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues as they arise.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in machine installation, pumps, compressors, and gear boxes.
  • Proficiency in leading crews and managing construction projects.
  • Knowledge of API Tolerance, preferably API 686.
  • Computer proficiency in daily reports, smart sheets, scheduling, equipment/tool logistics, and QC paperwork.

DETAILS

The House Lead is a member of the interdisciplinary team which assists and supports the Assistant Program Manager & Program Director in overseeing the day-to-day program operations of Anew Centre for Healing. The House Lead provides direct support to children, youth, and families, as well as to the front-line staff, and assists in the direction and support of program philosophies. The House Lead will help to facilitate monthly group supervisions with all front-line members with the support of the Assistant Program Manager. The House Lead is accountable to the Assistant Program Manager and Director(s) of Anew Centre for Healing.


KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Main contact for the home and the team of support staff;

  • Coordinate the transportation of participants for visits, community events, outings and booking of van;

  • Room checks every week;

  • Promotion and Education of House Rules with support staff and participants;

  • Monthly documentation related to participants including service planning, assessments, progress reports, reviews, plans, etc.;

  • Assist participants with household chores, leading by example and promoting routine and responsibility, as needed;

  • Coordination of Program and Services;

  • Administrative and file maintenance;

  • Maintaining client records and ensuring appointments are up to date and completed within timelines outlined in policy (medical, dental, optical, etc.);

  • Ensure the adherence to the monthly house budget;

  • Ensure allowance is administered weekly, as well as parental funds (if applicable) and documented;

  • Assisting participants to work towards and complete goals;

  • Implementation of a recreational schedule, menu for meals, and cultural events/activities with participants;

  • Assist participants with transitional support and resources;

  • Assist participants with accessing programming and addressing concerns for involvement;

  • Providing all participants with a sense of safety, acceptance, and nurturance as well as providing support and services through a trauma-informed, inclusive approach;

  • Maintaining and promoting professional boundaries with participants, while maintaining the best interest of the participants at all times;
  • After hours/On-Call Rotation;
  • Assist with house staff schedules;
  • Additional tasks or duties as directed by Leadership


QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS


  • Human services degree or diploma (and/or competency-based equivalencies);

  • Two (2) years related front-line and/or supervisory experience;

  • Current criminal (with vulnerable sector search) and current intervention record checks;

  • Strong interpersonal skills that bridge the distance with individuals that may have a resistance to relationships, different morals/values, and alternative lifestyle choices;

  • Non-judgmental manner;

  • Strong personal boundaries;

  • Demonstrates good writing and communication skills;

  • Experience in working with diverse cultural and religious communities;

  • Understanding of Client-Centered Theory, the Circle of Courage model, and Trauma Informed philosophies of treatment/intervention ;
