Calgary Mobile Teacher INC ( seeks to support students from grade 1 to grade 12 in their respective subject areas. We support students both online and in person. Last year we supported over 250 students throughout the Alberta area. Currently we are seeking the following teachers for IN PERSON instruction. In person teachers travel to the homes of students and teach for a minimum of 1 hour. We are prioritizing Physics, Math, Biology and English at the middle and high school level. The majority of our clients are located in South West Calgary. We are hiring a Tutoring Customization Specialist to join our growing remote-first company. Reporting directly into the COO, this role will be responsible to meet with students once they have completed the “initial diagnostic” exam that gauges a student’s SAT performance, and identifies their strengths, weaknesses and areas of focus.
This individual will be expected to transform incoming call leads into prospective clients by advocating for the initial diagnosis and following through the process to customize, offer and sell the ideal tutoring plan tailored for each student.
Work Conditions: This position will be hired as a contractor. Flexible type of contract, operating on an on-demand basis without a predetermined number of working hours per week. Set hourly rate supplemented by commission from sales. We’re a small but growing company and looking for someone who wants to grow with us. Duties & Responsibilities: Review diagnostic exams with clients. Handle in-person and Zoom consultations with potential clients and develop referrals from existing clients, educational consultations, agents and school counselors. Answer some incoming sales calls to recommend the client to take an initial diagnostic and generate sales through presentations with potential customers. Monitor our sales funnel for deals expected to close and contact those potential clients. Qualify new business prospects and build an active, high potential prospect list for the company. Walk clients through the purchase process on our website. Keep accurate reports with respect to sales and prospects as instructed from time to time. Participate in corporate marketing activities, such as conferences, home and trade shows and open house events, as required. Maintain a high level of knowledge about our services, the exams and admissions. Performs other duties as required. Core Competencies: Customer Focus. Communication. Energy. SAT or ACT tutor who has some experience in sales, OR a salesperson with some previous experience in SAT or ACT tutoring. Creative team player. Computer literate with proficiency using basic programs such as Windows and Outlook. Knowledge of retail sales principles, methods, practices, and techniques is a plus. Strong problem identification and objection resolution skills. Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with customers. Exceptional verbal communication and presentation skills. Professional appearance, demeanor, and attitude at all times. Excellent listening skills. Strong written communication skills. Capable of performing basic calculations and mathematical figures. Able to work individually and as part of a team. High level of integrity and work ethic. Able to ensure accuracy in all transactions, inventory, and procedures.
