As
**Warehouse Associate**
you will be responsible for assisting in the distribution area with picking, packing, shipping, and receiving with a safety mindset.
**What you will do**
u00b7 Help with warehouse functions such as receiving/ put away, order picking, packing, and shipping.
u00b7 Pick via RF scanners with orders from rack pick slots
u00b7 Other duties include assistance with inventory counting and general housekeeping within the warehouse
u00b7 Pack orders on conveyor belts
u00b7 Use wrap machine and labeling of packed/wrapped orders
u00b7 Required participation in EHS activities including JHSC and worker representation
u00b7 Use powered equipment for various job duties
**What you will need**
u00b7 High School Diploma, GED or equivalent experience required
u00b7 License to operate Raymond reach trucks narrow aisle, pallet jacks and powered walkies required.
u00b7 We would require a class 2 license (order picker)
u00b7 Fall arrest certification.
u00b7 Previous picking or packing experience in a warehouse/distribution environment with RF scanners
u00b7 PC literate with AS400 and hand-held scanner experience
u00b7 Ability to lift 50lbs by hand and mandatory to operate manual equipment
u00b7 Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, twist and crouch for long periods of time
u00b7 Ability to work weekends and have shift flexibility to meet the demands of the business.

Summary:
The Warehouse Associate supports the Savers vision by safely handling, separating, sorting and organizing material and goods, in our Centralized Processing Warehouse, which are then prepared for delivery to our stores. We are hiring for multiple positions which may include:
+ Merchandise Sorters, Graders and Pricers
Essential Job Functions:
+ Responsible for separating, sorting, and processing specific merchandise
+ Responsible for supplying merchandise to various departments through the day, keeping production flowing.

Job Description
The Leduc Parts Distribution Centre (PDC) is one of three Canadian PDCs that receives and distributes thousands of automotive service parts to our dealers across Canada, and is an integral part of the Ford Motor Company organization.
This position will support, Outbound Operations & On-time Customer Delivery.
Work Location: Leduc, ON
Shift: Afternoon-shift (12:30pm-9:00pm)
**Responsibilities**
- Lead and manage unionized hourly personnel
o Carry out Company practice/policy in the areas of work expectation, discipline, training, and personnel administration.
o Responsible for delivering objectives related to Safety, Cleanliness, Quality, Cost and Productivity
o Encourage a positive working relationship with UNIFOR employees and Leadership, including fair and equal administration of the contract
o Facilitate crew meetings.
o Calculate daily labor hour requirements to ensure proper utilization of manpower (including any overtime and vacation)
o Coach Safety, Quality and Productivity to ensure objectives are met through following standardized work
o Create a conducive work environment for employees to complete their assigned responsibilities / tasks
o Support Continuous Improvement and coach problem resolution to the lowest level
o Build employee capability, communication & recognition
- Responsible for the daily material handling functions for the facility
- Ensure proper material flow from receiving dock, to warehouse storage location, to the delivery of product to customers
- Provide direction and support in the allocation of resources in order to appropriately cover material handling responsibilities
- Ensure flawless flow of parts through proactive planning and cross-functional communication
- Effectively implement the Engineering Change Process
- Identify data gaps and take corrective actions.
**Qualifications**
Minimum Requirements:
- Education: Completion of Post-Secondary
- Experience:
o Currently - the opening is afternoon shift however, ability to work any shift as well as rotating shifts and weekends is required
o Ability to work independently with limited supervision
o Capable of assigning work to unionized hourly workforce and holding employees accountable for following processes pertaining to daily work assignments in terms of safety, quality, and throughput
o Strong organizational and administrative skills
o Ability to multi-task
o Strong problem-solving and conflict management skills
- Successful candidate must be able to demonstrate leadership in Ford Truths (leadership) behaviors combined with outstanding interpersonal, teambuilding, and communication skills
Preferred Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Industrial Operations, Transportation & Logistics, Supply Chain Management & Information Systems, Applied Engineering Science, Packaging Engineering, or Business Mgmt.
- Experience:
o Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles
o Safety and MP&L experience preferred
o Knowledge of constraint management principles
o Microsoft Office knowledge (Word/Excel/Outlook)
