Key Responsibilities:
- The AME/Technician is responsible for checking and maintaining the condition of aircraft and engine, makes repairs, replacements and adjustments, in accordance with approved maintenance procedures.
- S/he is accountable to the Production Manager for completing work assigned by the Lead Hand or Production Manager. The AME/Technician will ensure that all work is done in accordance with the policies and procedures defined locally and by Transport Canada.
- Complete verification inspections, if trained, as directed by Lead Hand / Production Manager and maintain integrity of all issued documents.
- Interpret blueprints/specifications/standards and written technical instructions and bring forth any questions to the lead.
- Ensure shop area and tools are maintained in a clean and safe condition.
- Work with manager and coworkers to understand “the big picture”. Make any necessary adjustments to best achieve targets, including informing others of issues that might affect their targets.
- Disassemble, inspect, record discrepancies, recommend and record methods of repair
- Install, rig and carry out all other mechanical functions and test in accordance with manufacturer's specifications
Qualifications:
- Education: Graduated from accredited trade institution with Mechanics background
- Experience: Minimum 2-5 years of experience in Mechanics-related general aircraft assembly, fabrication, installation.
- Proven ability to interpret blueprints/specifications/standards and written technical instructions
- Soft Skills: Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Preferred Qualifications and or Skills:
- Experience with Twin Otter aircraft and system is considered an asset
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights
- Ability to lift heavy objects up to 50 lbs
- Ability to acquire a Transport Canada issued Restricted Area Identification Card (RAIC)
- Flexibility to change shifts is required.

- Basic knowledge of standard practices and structures systems, accurately interpret maintenance manuals, service bulletins, drawings, system schematics, engineering orders, test documents, manufacturer's installation manuals.
- Have a basic understanding of other aircraft systems i.e. hydraulic, flight controls and major components.
- Complete structural repairs/major mods in accordance with drawings.
- Repair, fabricate parts and components; fabricate per drawings and standard practices.
- Perform system checks and inspections to ensure structures systems are in compliance with industry and safety standards.
- Keep accurate records of all work performed and maintain inventory of tools and equipment.
- Maintain a clean work area and alert the leadership team of any safety concerns; take immediate action or report immediately any unsafe conditions.
- Responsible for ensuring both accuracy and traceability of parts removed or installed on Aircraft.
- Perform other work as assigned and willing to work shift work.
- Properly utilize Structures test equipment to perform systems tests.
- Properly utilize and maintain Structures hand tools to perform installations and repairs.
- Safely operate ground support equipment, i.e. Power carts, lifts (when properly trained), etc. as required.
Education & Experience:
- Shall hold or working towards a current AME “S” Transport Canada license or related experience.
- Open to apprentice from accredited AME program.
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Able to work effectively independently and as part of a team.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with Internet.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Experience with all De Havilland Aircraft of Canada products is considered an asset.
- Possess knowledge expected of an Aircraft Structure Technician on aircraft types handled by the Company.

As an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring that all aircraft maintenance is accomplished in accordance with the policies and procedures contained in the Maintenance Control Manual, Maintenance Policy Manual, and Detailed Procedures Documents. + Mentor new Apprentices.
+ Liaise with the Lead and MOC regarding scheduled assigned overnight work packages.
+ Ensure that all technical documentation, such as maintenance releases associated with defects or Work Packs, is accomplished as per company standards prior to submission to Technical Records.

Position Summary:
We are hiring a Licensed AME or Aircraft Technician with hands-on experience and run qualifications on the ATR 42/72-600 series. The successful candidate will provide technical expertise, lead a team of licensed AMEs and apprentices, and support continuous training and operational excellence within the maintenance department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform, supervise, and certify maintenance tasks and engine runs on ATR 42/72-600 aircraft in accordance with regulatory and OEM standards
- Oversee day-to-day line and base maintenance operations, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance
- Lead and mentor technicians and apprentices, providing training and skills development
- Coordinate maintenance schedules, manpower allocation, and ensure timely project delivery
- Maintain high standards of documentation and quality assurance throughout all tasks
- Act as the primary point of contact between technical teams, operations, and management regarding ATR maintenance issues
- Support the development and implementation of internal SOPs and training programs
- Ensure compliance with all Transport Canada and company policies and procedures
Qualifications:
- Valid Transport Canada AME License (M2 preferred)
- Run-up qualified on ATR 42/72-600 aircraft (must be current or recently active)
- Minimum 5+ years of experience working on ATR 42/72 series aircraft
- Proven leadership or supervisory experience in a Part 705 or 145 environment
- Strong background in technical training, mentoring, or team development
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Flexible, hands-on, and proactive approach to aircraft maintenance operations
- Must be eligible to work in Canada

Skills and qualifications
- Diploma in aircraft maintenance technology, avionics maintenance or aircraft structure recognized by Transport Canada, or other accredited course.
- 5 years' experience working on aircraft(s)
- Ability to work on tasks requiring excellent judgment and initiative
- Have specialized technical skills
- Complete and pass training related to position;
- Update and communicate to the Human Resources Department his/her skills, work experience and professional qualifications;
- Report all incidents, accidents and potential hazards via the SMS;
- Apply and follow policies and procedures related to his/her position.
- Bachelor's degree in aviation or any other aviation-related course is an asset
- Oral and written bilingualism (French - English) is important for communication in the multilingual environment of the customer site and technical documentation.
