Chartered Professional Accountants (CPA) of Canada is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel, with 10+ years of strong experience in commercial law, licensing of intellectual property, corporate governance, and litigation (with 3+ years in-house experience preferred) to join their strong team.

They are looking for a Senior Tax Accountant who will be responsible for generating and updating tax project tracking reports, organizing and documenting tax related files and preparation of supporting documents, liaising with the Canada Revenue Agency and relevant provincial ministries on tax matters, preparing and maintaining government remittances/filings, such as GST, EHT and payroll, assisting in tax research and tax planning, revise memos and reports, and providing administrative support to the senior members of tax and other departments as needed.

About the Opportunity?
Assist in Canadian and US corporate and partnership tax filings
Generate and update tax project tracking reports.

About You?
3-4 years’ public accounting experience inclusive of minimum 1-2 years’ tax experience, or equivalent financial industry tax experience.
Proficient use of Excel, Microsoft Office Word, Power Point
Professional and clear communication skills; verbal and written.
Problem-solving skills and agility.
Attention to detail, ability to organize, prioritize, and balance multiple priorities.
Working knowledge in accounting software an asset, such as MicroSoft Dynamic GP, SAP BYD, QuickBooks.
Salary Range?
$85,000 - $90,000/year?

The Tax Accountant is responsible for financial reporting, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and maintaining accurate financial records. **How you create impact**

Your role:
- Prepare and review (where applicable) Cross Border individual and corporate tax returns
- Verify tax assessments
- Perform technical research and documenting tax plan recommendations
- Correspond with clients, other advisors and tax authorities
- Coordinate and manage client accounts
- Assist managers and partners with tax initiatives, including but not limited to developing and implementing tax planning strategies for clients
