About the opportunity

The Data Analyst plays a vital role in turning customer data into actionable insights that drive better experiences for CPA Canada's customers, students, and stakeholders. This role supports the Customer Experience team by sourcing and integrating data across platforms, ensuring pipelines, tracking, and integrations function reliably, and maintaining clean, connected datasets that enable the team to build visualizations and derive insights with confidence.

What you'll do

Maintenance Tasks

  • Dashboards: QA and periodic checks and updates
  • Tickets: follow up on technical tickets & requirements (e.g. Tracking codes implementation & other technical issues that require following up with other departments/vendors like IT & agencies)
  • Tracking: make sure tracking is up and always running by periodically checking data from GA4 and different data sources and making sure GTM setup is clean and free of errors.
  • Data management: ensure data pipelines, and integrations function reliably, keeping datasets accurate, complete, and up to date

Dashboards & Reporting

  • Build, maintain, and evolve interactive dashboards and regular reports using tools like Power BI, Excel, and HubSpot.
  • Provide performance tracking on key business initiatives Support business units with ad-hoc reports and deep-dive analysis to guide decision-making.
  • Segment and profile customers to support personalized communications, journeys, and service strategies.

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Marketing, Member Services, Education, and IT to provide analytical support for projects involving member and student experience.
  • Contribute insights to journey mapping and service design initiatives led by the Customer Experience team.

What we're looking for

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Statistics, Marketing, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Experience: 2+ years in a data analysis role, ideally in a membership-based, non-profit, or professional services organization.
  • Ability to read & understand basic code like HTML to diagnose website issues.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a passion for data storytelling.
  • Proficient in data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Looker).
  • Experience with CRM platforms (preferably HubSpot) covering Marketing & Sales automation functionalities
  • Experience with SQL, DAX & M languages.
  • Knowledge of other programming languages (e.g. Python, or R) is an asset.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure environment (e.g. Data Factory, Blob Storage) is a strong asset.
  • Advanced Excel skills and comfort working with large datasets.
  • Excellent communication skills; ability to translate complex findings into clear business recommendations.
  • Bilingualism (French and English) is an asset.

Job Summary

The Marketing Data Analyst will help business stakeholders gauge the performance of their marketing programs and derive strategic Insights to improve performance of communications programs, website engagement, media campaigns, etc. This role will be responsible for designing the tracking methods, and either implementing the tracking or work with technical teams to implement them. Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the CTO the Marketing Data Analyst will:

· Gather and interpret analytics data related to marketing Initiatives, product performance and customer experience

· Compile data from a variety of sources into cohesive and comprehensive customer reports and visualizations with actionable Insights (the "so what")

· Develop scalable and repeatable reporting methods using the appropriate analysis tools

· Develop recurring manual and automated reports / dashboards

· Create and manage ongoing tracking across multiple website and other marketing technology platforms

Qualifications

· Bachelor or equivalent degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Business, Marketing, or equivalent work experience

· Minimum 2 years of data analysis experience, preferably related to digital marketing and/or customer data

· Experience developing scalable and repeatable reporting methods using the appropriate analysis tools

· Solid knowledge of web analytics, with hands on experience with web analytics tracking tools such as Google Analytics and Adobe Analytics

· Hands on knowledge of a variety of tools that can be used for processing and analyzing data, including Python notebooks, Excel, SQL server, R, etc.

The Metrics team at Lyft plays a crucial role in defining key business metrics used in decision-making. We develop and manage tools and dashboards that provide easy access to this information to a wide range of stakeholders. Our work includes delivering analyses and tools to support partner product teams and Finance in developing and standardizing a data portfolio that strengthens our operational efficiency.
We are seeking a data analyst to enhance our team's capability to leverage data for optimal business decisions. The ideal candidate will utilize data analysis and competitive intelligence to create resources that significantly influence growth strategy, while getting substantial exposure to executive leadership.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Analyze datasets to extract actionable insights and trends related to key business metrics
+ Take ownership of specific business metrics, ensuring their accuracy, integrity, consistency, and relevance to business goals
+ Design, develop, and maintain dashboards and reports to visualize key business metrics for stakeholders
+ Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product, engineering, and finance, to understand and address data needs
+ Provide strategic insights and recommendations to support decision-making
+ Continuously seek opportunities to improve data processes and analytical methodologies
+ Communicate findings and insights to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner
**Experience:**
+ 2+ years experience in management consulting, strategic data science/analytics roles in a technology company, or an equivalent analytical role in a high growth startup
+ Demonstrated data analysis and problem-solving skills
+ Experience in leading high visibility projects and influencing others in a cross-functional team environment
+ Entrepreneurial self-starter - you naturally take ownership, look for opportunities, and do whatever it takes to drive results
+ Ability to build relationships with cross-functional stakeholders and drive shared outcomes
+ Works effectively in a fast paced environment requiring new perspectives and creative approaches, and with multiple competing deadlines
+ A drive to understand the core issues along with the determination to uncover the solution
+ **Skills:**
+ Ability to independently break down large datasets and synthesize inputs from multiple sources
+ Ability to use data visualization tools to provide actionable insights and reusable frameworks
+ Excellent organization, planning skills, and attention to detail

The expected base pay range for this position in the Toronto area is CAD 83,800 - CAD $104,750. Salary ranges are dependent on a variety of factors, including qualifications, experience and geographic location. Range is not inclusive of potential equity offering, bonus or benefits.
