Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in Microsoft development, including hands-on solution design with the Power Platform.

We are looking for a Senior Developer - Data and Analytics to join our team and support our newly implemented Datasphere (formerly Data Warehouse Cloud) platform. This role will be tasked with developing and maintaining data models, ETL configurations, and other data assets in Datasphere. This role will interact with teams from various departments throughout North America. Datasphere is our main data warehousing platform. SAP Analytics Cloud is our visualization front-end that is integrated with Datasphere.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Scientist for our client. This is a permanent position that is completely remote! Our client is a fintech company based out of Vancouver
You Have:
- 3 - 5+ Years experience working in Data Engineering/Data Science utilizing R (purrr, tidyr, dplyr, tibble, & the tidyverse)
- Strong analytical skills working with unstructured data sets
- Knowledge of relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc.) and non-relational databases (including MongoDB)
- Strong experience with big data services like Spark, Kafka, Rabbit
- Experience working with Startups are considered a bonus
- Experience working with cloud services, specifically AWS are considered a bonus

REMOTE (CANADA-BASED)
C$100,000 – C$150,000 + 18% BONUS + BENEFITS

THE ROLE
As a Senior Data Scientist, you’ll partner closely with brand and omnichannel teams to support decision-making through advanced analytics and modelling. Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing predictive models such as next-best-action, response modelling, uplift, and segmentation
- Designing and analysing A/B tests and attribution frameworks to assess promotional effectiveness
- Wrangling large, complex datasets from multiple sources to build clean modelling datasets
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Media Agencies, and Data Engineering to ensure data quality, consistency, and insight delivery
- Generating insights to optimise campaign design and HCP targeting strategies
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
- Strong experience in data science and predictive modelling (classification, regression, uplift, etc.)
- Proven ability to work with messy data and derive clean, interpretable features (SQL and Python are essential; R is a bonus)
- A background in omnichannel marketing, media analytics, or digital healthcare preferred
- Experience with campaign measurement, media mix modelling, or HCP segmentation highly desirable
- MSc or PhD in a STEM, statistics, or data-related discipline

About the Role
This is a tech-lead, model building / development–focused role—ideal for someone with a strong foundation in applied NLP research and a passion for making machine learning work in the real world. You'll own experiments, iterate on PoCs, and help define how ML models are built for in production environments.
What You’ll Bring
- 5+ years of machine learning and NLP modeling experience in applied research and production environments
- PhD in Computer Science, Computational Linguistics, Statistics or similar highly preferred
- Technical leadership experience required; direct people management a plus
- Experience with LLMs and agents for financial services, legal or compliance
- Background in: NLP: Named Entity Recognition / NER, information extraction, and information retrieval
- Cloud environments (provider-agnostic), AWS or GCP a plus
- Python, PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hugging Face, BERT, RAG experience preferred
- Publication and patent history a plus
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, including experience working with non-technical stakeholders
