THE ROLE

We're looking for a talented and detail-oriented Graphic Designer to join our growing Marketing team at Localcoin. What will you be doing?
  • You will be responsible for executing design assets using creative/marketing brief direction as well as overall art direction with attention to detail.
  • You will create a variety of assets as assigned, such as but not limited to digital (email, social posts, web assets, store), product packaging, retail (store signage and windows), and packaging (bags, hang tags).
  • You will develop, visualize, and present decks and concepts supporting your work and will incorporate feedback and direction from key stakeholders and other departments.
  • You will deliver to tight deadlines managing the delivery of multiple fast-paced projects ensuring work is completed on time and of high quality.
  • You will ensure your work supports brand consistency and follows brand guidelines.
  • You will seek review of work and incorporate feedback as well as participate in peer-to-peer design review.
  • You will collaborate with other creative team members like marketers and copywriters, as well as cross-functional departments (ecomm, wholesale, product).
  • You will prepare final press-ready files based on supplied specifications for several types of printing.
  • You will create various formats of supplied artwork to be production-ready and resolve any artwork issues that arise during production.
  • You will provide image retouching and image manipulation as required.

Requirements

Professional Requirements

  • 1-3+ years experience in graphic design in-house or with an agency.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud (Ai, Ps, Id), Figma (or Adobe XD)
  • Strong knowledge of mainstream design and what constitutes effective design for both digital and traditional channels.
  • A creative thinker with the ability to collaborate with others on cross-functional projects.
  • Experience in the creative campaign development process with the ability to work efficiently with writers, film and photo members, and marketing.
  • Experience in creating effective assets for social media.
  • Strong understanding of digital file optimization and digital design best practices.
  • Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS.
  • General understanding of UX/UI design, usability, design systems, software development, and how these factors inform your designs.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in the apparel industry in a design capacity
  • Video and photo editing abilities
  • Motion design abilities

This role is open to Junior or Intermediate-level Graphic Designers. A typical hiring range for this position is $50,000 - $70,000 CAD per year with the final salary offer based on your qualifications, job-related skills, and relevant experience.
