The Project Manager plays a pivotal role at G&W Electric focusing on customer needs by communicating proactively and effectively with internal and external customers. The Project Manager will be responsible for managing orders assigned to them, up to and including escalations from G&W Electric Inside Sales Support Reps

As a OM Project Manager you will:

  • Develop and nurture strong, long-term relationships with G&W Electric’s key customers by managing their complex projects – this includes technically complex designs, critical customer touchpoints, and business volume
  • Lead end-to-end project initiatives to completion, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality project deliverables, hitting milestones, clear documentation, and proactive communication
    • Develop project plans including timelines, tasks, milestones, and contingency plans up to and including risk mitigation on agreed upon contracts
    • Develop and adhere to a project schedule while tracking progress, monitoring task completion of other teams, and identify at-risk responsibilities
  • Show effective and independent project management by identifying at-risk tasks proactively and mitigating or escalating appropriately
  • Assist and lead continuous improvement initiatives to refine team’s processes, tools, and overall customer experience
  • Assist with onboarding Project Manager I and other team members as necessary
  • Consult with various departments within G&W Electric as appropriate to resolve technical and scheduling issues that arise during order life cycle of the order
  • Provide timely and effective communication to internal and external customers - serving point of contact for Sales, Operations, and other internal departments
  • Work closely with Sales team to support customer/ order activity
  • Maintain customer files, including customer’s specific requirements as defined within the team’s protocol including but not limited to ISO or G&W Work Instruction or procedure
  • Check approval drawings for accuracy before they are transmitted to the customer
  • Liaise with Finance Department to ensure timely invoicing and payment where applicable. Request performance bonds through finance
  • Ensure all submittal documentation is developed and sent to the end user or sales representative in the agreed upon time
  • Order validation and effectively manage design changes after the purchase order is received

We are looking for someone who:

  • Holds a B.S. Degree within an Engineering, Business discipline or related field
  • Technical aptitude required with 5+ years of proven experience in a customer support role (ex: business sales, business development, project management or account management)
  • 5+ Years of Project Management/Customer service Experience
  • Is expected to have or to be working towards completion of PMP certification (project management certification from PMI)
  • Documented ability to resolve issues independently
  • Documented ability to manage multiple projects at once
  • Expert knowledge in the use of Microsoft suite – Word, Excel, etc.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills a must

Ideally you will also have:

  • Working knowledge of JD Edwards software
  • 5+ years of experience working in an operational role within a manufacturing environment
  • Previous experience within the power industry

**QUALIFICATIONS**

+ 3-5 years of relevant work experience

+ Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
+ Strong organizational abilities with attention to detail.

We are seeking aProject Managerto join ourOperations team in our TorontoOffice. Reporting to the Regional Manager, you will be supporting theOperationsteam byoverseeing the planning,coordinationand executions of HVAC projects from initiation through completion.


What You'll Be Doing

  • Develop and manage detailed project schedules to ensure all milestones and deadlines are met.
  • Maintain and organize all project-related documentation, ensuring accuracy and accessibility throughout the project life cycle.
  • Prepare,submit, and track submittal packagesin accordance withproject specifications and timelines.
  • Coordinate order entry and processing, including tracking purchase orders, sales totals, and shipment schedules.
  • Arrange andmonitordeliveries in collaboration with internal teams, vendors, andlogisticspartners to ensuretimelyfulfillment.
  • Serve as the main point of contact with contractors to support project delivery, verify equipment details, confirm bill of sale, and communicate delivery requirements.
  • Collaborate with the Sales team and Regional Sales Manager to coordinate project efforts andmaintainclear, consistent communication.
  • Utilize ERP software tomaintainaccurateproject financials, including budgets, purchase orders, and invoices.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives byidentifyingopportunities to streamline project coordination and documentation processes
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.


What You Bring

  • Post secondaryeducation(degree or diploma) inProject Management, Business, orrelated fields.
  • A minimum ofone-two(1-2)years experience in projectmanagement
  • Strong computer skills, withproficiencyin Microsoft Office; experience with an ERP is considered an asset.
  • Strong communicationand interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
  • The ability to work well both independently and within a team environment.
  • Comfortability in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to prioritize multiple and strict deadlines.

  • Background in custom design/fabrication, manufacturing, architecture, engineering, or a related field.
  • Comprehensive understanding of building systems, materials, construction methods, and architectural detailing.
  • Strong expertise in construction/architectural processes
  • Proficiency in client-facing roles and a passion for delivering exceptional service.
  • Expertise in project management principles and techniques.
  • Ability to closely manage and support fabrication and design teams.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in ensuring all project documentation is accurate and up-to-date.

The Role

Our project manager combines consulting with implementing Enterprise Software and business processes. Working with partners, directors, and solutions specialists, you’ll execute project management tasks which include but are not limited to, the following responsibilities:

  • Manage the effective delivery and timely completion of WMS and/or ERP and/or CRM projects in alignment with defined scope and budget.
  • Manage additional requests and associated budget.
  • Ensure all communication with the customers is timely and effective.
  • Anticipate, identify, define, plan, assign and follow up on tasks, milestones, deliveries, dependencies, and critical paths for the project team and clients.

  • Require the availability of taking calls from clients outside working hours in rotation within the team.

Desired background:

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, Finance, or related field.
  • 5-8 years of experience in project management, people management and ideally in the consulting area.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing, logistics and retail would be a nice-to-have.
  • Ability to manage difficult situations, tackle problems and crisis situations, in a composed manner, inspiring team confidence.
  • Ambition, curiosity, enthusiasm, strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Comfortable working independently in an ambiguous environment with pressing deadlines.
  • Ability to handle multiple mandates simultaneously under the supervision of a project director.

PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES


  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously and ensure that all deadlines are met. Delegating the tasks to the right product/functional leads as needed
  • Take the lead on projects, delegating tasks, and managing the productivity of project team with the best possible strategies to avoid timeline/cost delays including divide/concur strategies

  • Optimize project deliverables, schedule, and timeline to reduce risks
  • Stay aware of company goals and strategies to ensure projects align with business priorities of Sodales including internal projects
  • Standardize tools and template for project management
  • Work with proposal teams to develop timeline estimates and project plans for new clients
  • Train Sodales employees on Sodales project methodology and frameworks/sample deliverables
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal and team leadership skills by building relationships internally and externally.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrate Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools as well as other tools such as Jira and MPP.


QUALIFICATIONS


  • Degree in computer science, project management
  • 3 + years of PM experience as SaaS Project Manager
  • Must have PMP or scrum certifications
  • Experience with SAP technologies is a plus
  • Minimum 2 full life-cycle implementations
  • Must have outstanding presentation skills
