Mandatory Requirements:
- Diploma in Civil Technology; Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
- Currently located in the lower mainland

What we are looking for in a successful candidate:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Management, or a related technical field (required).
- 5+ years of progressive quality control experience in a manufacturing environment.
- 2+ years of supervisory or management experience leading quality teams.
- Strong understanding of ISO 9001 standards and other relevant quality systems.
- Experience with root cause analysis, corrective action processes, and CAPA systems.
- In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control methodologies, and inspection techniques.

- Conduct and prepare the Management Review and Quality Planning efforts as part of the Product Realization process, contributing with the necessary information.
- Oversees the continuous improvement of the entire Quality Management System throughout the organization by suggesting Lean Management Strategies along with good overall housekeeping initiatives.
- Controls all authority media, namely, stamps or signatures or a combination of both, as well as any other type of media use with the purpose of acceptance or validation.
- Plan, develop, execute, and accurately document the metrological inspection of products.
- Ensures all Quality documentation clearly and concisely show all details of inspection activities.
- Educate, supervise, and coach all Quality Control inspectors, techs, specialists, etc.
- Maintain and monitor all instruments and equipment used for the purpose of measuring and monitoring products in the company using the companys calibration program.
- Plan, test, develop and recommend the need for processes and work instructions for calibration of the instruments and equipment.
- Clearly documents through nonconformance reports and advise the General Manager and/or the President of findings, which will directly or indirectly affect the quality of products negatively.
- Conduct desk or site audits of potential suppliers as directed by the General Manager/or the President and give recommendations for approval or disapproval.
- Conduct internal audit responsibilities as directed by the President and in accordance with ISO 9001.
- Ensure quality records are complete and maintained in an organized fashion for retrieval and review.
Qualifications:
- A college diploma graduate or university degree in any manufacturing related discipline (Engineering, Quality, etc.) or equivalent with experience for 5-10 years in a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with leadership, business stakeholders and members of the community and public.
- At least 2 years experience working as a metrology inspector or alternatively 3 years as minimum managing people in a metrology laboratory environment.
- Minimum of 5 years experience working with Quality Assurance and Control methods including: ITPs, Control Plans, QCS16 (AS9102 FAIs) or equivalent from other industries with a minimum of 2 years working with First Article Inspection Software
- Must hold Canadian Citizenship and have a clean criminal record. Must be able to pass a security clearance.
- Ideally possessing a Lead Auditor certification or having sound Knowledge of ISO 9001 Internal Auditing or equivalent experience.
- In depth Knowledge of First Offs, in-process and Final inspections as well as all other ISO9001 standard practices.
- Solid background with the use and applications of Coordinate Measuring Machines, scanning and validating product compliance including basic understanding of CAD systems.

Position Purpose: As our Quality Manager , you'll be the driving force behind our quality systems by developing, implementing, and sustaining total quality management systems and procedures for the site, ensuring our products exceed expectations and our processes continuously improve, making the site the supplier of choice.
Your key responsibilities:
- Influence quality and productivity improvements through involvement in the development of new and improved procedures, process innovations and changes in culture.
- Provide direction and coordination for all quality activities and for other related functions that have effect on product or service quality.
- Continuously planning for future quality department operations and procedural improvements.
- Develop appropriate methods and equipment for use in the quality operations. This includes the development of quality systems for new products and processes as well as continuous improvement in existing products and processes.
- Provide statistical consulting and analysis services to all parts of the site, as well as Sales and Product Management.
- Direct the efforts to monitor and improve product and process efficiency by providing an independent audit function.
- Assure consistency of purchased raw materials by vendor certification, establishment or effective acceptance criteria and product monitoring.
- Responsible for serving as liaison between the site and its customers for management review of product performance, long term planning and problem resolution. Serves as location agent to resolve customer problems with product. Evaluate and disposition returned product.
- Develop quality systems for new product offerings.
- Leadership role in ISO9001 certification, which includes leading the quality council that promotes this effort.
- Liaison with corporate Research and Development activities for new product introductions, modification of existing products and customer complaints.
- Manage departmental budgets and perform all other duties as assigned.
What You Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in science, engineering, business, or related field required.
- 5+ years of experience in a quality leadership role.
- Experience and understanding of a manufacturing environment.
- Strong communication, organizational, and project management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interface with external and internal.
- Proven ability to provide leadership for direction of the total quality efforts at the site.
- Experience with Lean, Six Sigma (Black Belt preferred) , and ISO standards.
- Proven track record of delivering results through quality KPIs.
- A passion for continuous improvement and cross-functional collaboration.

Job Responsibilities:
Reporting to the General Manager, drive a strong quality culture throughout the organization and oversee the development, strategic direction and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure quality programs continue to be best in class. Develop Strategy for future successful performance of Deco Automotive and P&F Tool & Die by assessing individual skill sets within department, assessing current systems and initiate the necessary changes.
Minimum Requirements
- Responsible for quality operations across two divisions - Deco Automotive and P&F Tool and Die - and must be able to travel regularly between both locations to fulfill role responsibilities.
- University degree in Engineering or equivalent field
- Minimum 5-7 years working in a Quality related role
- 3-5 years' experience providing leadership to and growing a team
- Certification as a Quality Manager (CQM), Quality Engineer (CQE), Quality Auditor (CQA) preferred
- Strong knowledge and experience with 8D, issuing NCRs (internally and with suppliers)
- Strong Root Cause Analysis and problem-solving skills
- Experience developing and maintaining procedures, work instructions, and process flow documentation
- Strong working knowledge of 6-Sigma methodology (certification not required)
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure that all QA/QC policies and procedures are being followed consistently
- Manage internal and external non-conformances and verify effectiveness of corrective and preventative actions
- Maintain and improve QA department documentation (policies, WI, process flows, KPIs)
- Foster a culture of Continuous Improvement by driving PDCA methodology
- Work closely with other departments to complete in-depth investigations of customer complaints or when issues or trends are identified
- Make data-based decisions and develop and implement corrective action plans when working with vendors
- Manage all external and Interna QMS Audits
