**Job Description**
**AECOM** is currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Reclamation Specialist to join our growing team in Edmonton, Alberta. Working alongside a team of professionals with varied backgrounds and skills, the ideal candidate is comfortable in fast-paced environments. We are seeking a candidate who has a working knowledge of relevant provincial and federal regulations.
The position will involve providing support on reclamation projects including but not limited to revegetation plans, reclamation plans, Detailed Site Assessments (DSAs), pre and post-construction assessments, environmental assessments, environmental monitoring plans, associated permitting, and other related scopes of work.
The successful candidate will work with an experienced team of scientists and technical specialists in ecology, permitting, and reclamation backgrounds to provide environmental expertise on multi-disciplinary projects in Alberta and across Western Canada.
**Job responsibilities include but aren't limited to the following:**
+ Onsite supervision or completion of a variety of environmental site assessments and surface reclamation projects including:
+ Field programs such as DSAs, Pre-Disturbance Assessments, vegetation, wetlands, wildlife, fisheries, and soils.
+ Supervising contractors completing reclamation activities including contouring, site preparation, soil placement, seeding, planting, and invasive plant management.
+ Assisting with revegetation plans, reclamation plans, reclamation certificate applications, and associated permitting.
+ Supporting the preparation of regulatory applications, applicable to provincial and federal legislation, including under the Public Lands Act.
+ Assisting Project Managers/project coordinators with tasks such as monthly project and budget update summaries, preparation of meeting minutes, scheduling, and coordinating field programs.
+ Working with a large multi-disciplinary team to execute projects and meet client expectations.
+ Adhering to and enforcing corporate Safety, Health and Environment protocols and AECOM's quality control program.
+ This position combines both fieldwork and office tasks in a flexible hybrid work environment.
**Qualifications**
**Minimum Requirements:**
+ Bachelor's degree or Technical Diploma in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Biological Sciences, or Soil Sciences.
+ Professional designation or eligibility to obtain P.Biol, P.Ag or R.T.Ag designation.
+ 4+ years of consulting or industry experience in reclamation including leading reclamation-related field work.
+ A thorough understanding of the Forested and Peatland Criteria is required.
+ Valid Class 5 driver's license.
+ Strong interpersonal and communication skills, comfortable liasing with clients, colleagues, and subcontractors.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office software applications.
+ Highly motivated with a willingness to learn new tasks.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Experience or interest to support other biophysical study areas such as wildlife, wetlands and/or fisheries field assessments
**Additional Information**
Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $70,000.00 - $05,000.00.

The NANM Cheminformatics Scientist is responsible for developing and running a high throughput screening and data analytics tool. The scientist will have experience with wetlab assays, analytical processes, data processing and analytics, and machine learning.
This position reports to the Director of Engineering and is part of the Nucleic Acids and Nanomedicine Business Unit located in Vancouver, B.C. and will be an on-site role.
What you will do:
+ Create an mRNA drug delivery development platform that supports complex in-vivo and gene editing applications
+ Work with the team to develop an application specific data management and processing system
+ Analyze data and make recommendations using statistical methods, machine learning and where applicable, an appropriate form of AI
+ Work with an automation team to constantly improve our data collection system
Who you are:
+ Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or Science and 8+ years experience (or equivalent) or a PhD in Engineering or Science and 4+ years of experience (or equivalent)
+ Machine learning and AI application development experience in chemistry
+ Direct wetlab and lab management experience running assays and using analytical equipment
+ Strong experience with data analytics, design of experiments and real-world model validation
+ Strong programming knowledge and experience
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
+ Experience with statistical data analysis tools (such as R, Python), cloud computing (such as AWS, Azure), AI/ML dev platforms (such as Snowflakes, DataBricks, Sagemaker) and data visualization app development (such as R Shiny or Shiny for Python)
+ Structured root cause analysis
+ Biological or Bioanalytical background

The salary range for this role is $110k-140k CAD. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
