We are recruiting nurses *(RN/LPN)* to add to a nursing team caring for a pediatric client (toddler) in Langford*. *This job will entail providing 1:1 respite care in the home environment, monitoring a child and providing assistance and support to the parents who are caring for the child with medical needs. *Paid training is provided.* Shifts are flexible, days / night shifts are available.
Duties include: medication administration, baby care, respiratory care and monitoring of medical devices (all training is provided).
Care will be provided in the childs home or at daycare/playgroup with the child.

* Current ‘practicing’ registration with BCCNM
* Valid CPR ‘C’ / BLS certification
* Demonstrated ability to work independently.

The wage range is from $55 to $61 per hour depending on experience. We are offering a pay premium for Saturday shifts. Hourly wage is determined based on the candidate's work experience and will be discussed during the interview process.
Responsibilities:
Appropriately assess, plan, implement and evaluate services for patient care
Perform all aspects of clinical preventative hygiene services including scaling, root planning, polishing, topical fluoride, pit and fissure sealants and whitening to patients
Serve as an oral health educator by introducing new preventative techniques and counselling
Establish and retain patient loyalty by delivering a tailored experience based on the patients’ expectations, while consistently maintaining ethical and professional behaviour.
About You:
Completed Dental Hygiene Diploma or Hygiene Degree is required
Registered Dental Hygienist in good standing with provincial licensing is required
