# **Job Summary**

Plating food for the hospitals, and moving it through the packaging assembly line.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:**

- Proper traying of meals on the assembly lines
- Portioning and labelling of meals
- Sorting and unboxing the frozen food and emptying it into the bin
- Receiving food products or shipping meals when required.
- Frequent lifting, repetitive movement, pushing and carrying of supplies and carts. (Maximum lifting 30 lb.)
- Frequent standing for long periods.
- Work will be performed in cold environment.
- Product may need to be obtained from fridge that is at 4ºC or lower or the freezer that is at -18 ºC.
- Equipment utilized; food carts, serving utensils, food preparation equipment.
- Attention to detail is a must

+ Work from production and process sheets, blueprints, specifications, written and verbal information.
+ Apply protective material to assemblies.
+ Perform foaming, bonding, sealing, cementing and riveting to assemble, install and seal detail components. and/or wrapping to parts and assemblies.
**This position is 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.**
**Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):**
+ High School Diploma or recognized equivalency
+ Must be able to work evening shift (starting at 15:00) and/or midnight shift (starting at 23:00)
+ Must be legally able to work in Canada
+ Individual must not pose a risk for safeguarding of controlled goods
+ Must be eligible to handle US export-controlled data
+ Must successfully complete a pre-employment medical, pass up to 4 weeks of training, and a full background check, including criminal record in order to obtain employment
**Preferred Qualifications (Education/Experience):**

About the Role
The Manufacturing Technician A - Optical Assembly position is responsible for aligning and bonding optical components (precision lenses) using optical alignment equipment. Primary Responsibilities
+ Assemble and/or troubleshoot optical assemblies following all established manufacturing processes and procedures in alignment with AS9100 standards
+ Inspect/measure optical components to ensure conformity to specified tolerances

+ Support the development of new manufacturing processes and make improvements to current manufacturing processes

**What are your contributions to the team?**
+ Perform inspections visually or using measuring tools, according to engineering standards, processes and quality assurance guidelines.
+ Verify and inspect proper dimensions and locations for installation, tightening torques or connection of assemblies and systems
+ Liaise with the production, engineering and methods department
**How to thrive in this role? Skills, knowledge & experience:**
+ You have a DEP in structural assembly and 2 years of experience as a structural assembler
+ OR
+ You have 5 years of experience as an inspector in the field of aeronautics or in a related field in assembly
+ OR
+ You have a DEC or AEC in engineering aircraft mechanics or maintenance and 2 years of experience in the assembly field.
