As the Manager of Data Science and Analytics, you will lead and build a small but growing team responsible for transforming Vention’s rich data into insights that directly impact strategic decisions across the company. You’ll get your hands dirty applying data science techniques to solve high-impact problems in operations, growth, product, and customer experience - all while helping establish the data vision and infrastructure that scales with our business.

What You’ll Do:
Leadership and Stakeholder Collaboration
- Manage, mentor, and grow a high-performing data team, while contributing directly to analytics and data science initiatives. Promote best practices in data management and modeling.
- Partner with business leaders to understand critical data needs, define priorities, and ensure alignment between analytics initiatives and strategic goals.
- Own the analytics roadmap and sprint planning processes. Balance quick wins with long-term capability building in line with evolving business needs.
Analytics & Insight Generation
- Drive complex data modelling and advanced analytics initiatives (including statistical modelling, forecasting, and clustering) to identify trends, optimize performance and drive growth.
- Lead the development of data visualization strategies, dashboards, and KPIs that deliver actionable insights and drive strategic business decisions.
- Translate complex analytics into actionable recommendations for executive leadership and key stakeholders.
Data Infrastructure & Governance
- Own the development, reliability, and scalability of the company’s data infrastructure, including the data warehouse, ETL/ELT pipelines, and source system integrations.
- Ensure data accuracy and consistency while adhering to compliance and governance standards.
- Maintain documentation for data architecture, processes, and analytics methodologies.
What You Bring to the Table:
- 5–7 years of hands-on experience in data science or analytics, with a proven ability to lead projects, manage teams and influence business decisions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Business ANalytics Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field
- Strong technical foundation with proficiency in Python, SQL and BI tools (i.e. Power BI/Looker).
- Proven experience with data warehousing concepts, ETL processes, and data modelling techniques (i.e. Snowflake, Airbyte, AWS)
- Deep knowledge of statistical techniques, regression modeling, and machine learning methods (e.g., clustering, decision trees, neural networks).
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a passion for translating data into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders. Bilingual (English/French) is a strong asset.

Lyft's Data Science Team builds mathematical models underpinning the platform's core services. They cut across optimization, prediction, modeling, inference, transportation, and mapping. **Optimization:** Construct and fit statistical or optimization models that facilitate automated decision making in the app.
**Machine Learning:** Design, build, tune, and deploy machine learning models with a special emphasis on feature engineering and deployment.
**Inference:** Design and analyze tests in our dynamic marketplace, estimating statistical and ML models to enable better decisions, and developing and evaluating algorithmic policies in our pricing, dispatch, and incentives systems.

+ Develop data engineering architectures and systems to ensure data quality, governance, and interoperability.
+ Create predictive models to identify health and wellness risks, recommend interventions, and personalize care journeys.
+ Develop innovative approaches to support patients, informal caregivers, and other individuals through data-driven health and wellness insights and tools.
+ Design and implement AI-based agents and chatbots to enhance consumer engagement and to improve efficiency and productivity of care management and administrative team members.
+ Perform feature engineering and selection to optimize model performance and extract meaningful insights from complex datasets, and develop automated feature engineering pipelines to ensure scalability and reproducibility.
+ Rigorously evaluate and validate machine learning models using appropriate metrics and techniques, ensuring robustness, generalizability, and clinical relevance, and establish best practices for model validation, including the use of held-out datasets, cross-validation, and external validation.
+ Collaborate with product, engineering, clinical, and behavioral science teams to develop actionable insights and intelligent features within patient- and caregiver-facing digital tools.
+ Stay current with emerging research and technologies in data science, AI, and machine learning, and explore new methodologies and technologies to enhance our platform's capabilities.
**About You**
**Education and Experience**
+ Advanced degree (MS or PhD) in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Biostatistics, or related field.
+ 8+ years of experience in developing data management systems for large volumes of data and applying complex mathematical and statistical methods to real-world problems.
+ 2+ years of experience in developing data science, analytics, and AI/ML solutions.
+ Proven track record developing and deploying machine learning models in production environments.
+ Experience in Python, R, or similar languages, and experience with ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch).
**Preferred:**
+ Experience with natural language processing, computer vision, or time-series analysis.
+ Experience with healthcare data and analytics, or experience developing healthcare technology and applications.
+ Understanding of healthcare data standards and healthcare workflows
