Responsibilities

**Main Responsibilities:**

**Who is a good fit?**
+ Bachelor's degree in management, supply chain, and/or engineering is required. Higher education is an asset.

Order Picker / Forklift Operator with Fall Arrest

We are looking for an Order Picker with Fall Arrest for our client. You will be responsible for safely and efficiently picking, packing, and preparing customer orders for shipment, often involving heavy loads and requiring the use of fall arrest equipment. This role requires operating various material handling equipment, maintaining inventory accuracy, and adhering to strict safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Order Picking: Locating and retrieving items from warehouse shelves or storage areas based on pick tickets or electronic orders, often utilizing order picker

  • Material Handling: Safely handling and moving materials, including heavy loads, using appropriate equipment and techniques.

  • Packing and Palletizing: Preparing orders for shipment, including wrapping, palletizing, and labeling items, often involving shrink-wrapping and securing loads.

  • Inventory Management: Maintaining accurate inventory records, reporting discrepancies, and assisting with cycle counts.

  • Safety Compliance: Adhering to all relevant workplace safety policies and procedures, including fall protection protocols, and reporting any safety hazards or incidents.

  • General Warehouse Duties: Performing general warehouse duties as required, such as maintaining a clean and organized work area, assisting with loading and unloading trucks, and other tasks to support warehouse operations.

  • Communication: Communicating effectively with warehouse supervisors, inventory control personnel, and other team members regarding order status, inventory issues, and safety concerns.

  • Documentation: Completing necessary paperwork, including pick tickets, shipping documents, and inventory records, accurately and in a timely manner.

Requirements:

  • Physical Stamina: Ability to lift and move heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks.
    MUST BE COMFORTABLE WITH HEAVY LOADS UP TO 50,000LBS

  • Material Handling Equipment Operation: Experience operating forklifts, order pickers, and other material handling equipment.

  • Fall Arrest Certification: Certification or willingness to be certified in fall arrest and working at heights.

  • Inventory Management: Understanding of inventory control principles and experience with inventory tracking systems.

  • Attention to Detail: Ability to accurately pick orders, maintain inventory records, and complete paperwork.

  • Safety Awareness: Thorough understanding of workplace safety regulations and procedures.

  • Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.

  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve issues related to order fulfillment, inventory discrepancies, and safety concerns.

Pay rate -$21.00 per hour to start
