About the Role
As a Maintenance Millwright at Cargill, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of mechanical and electrical equipment through preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, technical expertise, and the ability to work in a dynamic beef processing environment.

What You Need
• Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada
• Be 18 years or older
• Ontario or Inter-Provincial 433A Millwright Certificate is required
• Full License with 8,000 Apprenticeship hours completed
• Minimum of 3-5 years experience as a licensed Mechanic Millwright in a manufacturing or production environment
• Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and in varied environmental conditions such as but not limited to dust, noise, hot and cold
• Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)
• Ability to work in confined spaces
• Perform physical tasks (bending, kneeling, climbing, lifting up to 50 lbs.)

Maintenance Technician - Food MfgShift: 8 to 12 hours rotational

We are seeking a mechanically skilled individual who can work on maintaining plant systems and equipment by completing preventive maintenance schedules, troubleshooting, and repairing any issues which may arise during production, restoring, repairing, rebuilding, or replacing faulty or inoperative components and parts. Equipment used in this food processing facility includes industrial, electromechanical, and hydraulic equipment as well as pumps and conveying systems.

The Maintenance Mechanic must be able to troubleshoot, install, align, dismantle, and move stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment, such as pumps, fans, tanks, conveyors, furnaces, generators, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, packaging machines, VFDs, PLCs, etc…

Other duties include.

  • Inspect and examine machinery (conveyors, packers, seasoners, sensors, PLCs, VFDs, etc.) to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions.
  • Perform maintenance tasks according to work orders (cleaning, lubrication, etc.)
  • Adjust machinery and repair or replace defective parts.
  • Perform good troubleshooting and root cause analysis of equipment break downs.
  • Has a pro-active mindset; finds solutions to different problems and complexities.
  • Can adapt and learn quickly to problems. Can operate in a high-pressure environment.
  • Perform daily maintenance and repairs needed in the production area.
  • Setup, take-down, and relocation of Processing and Packaging equipment.
  • Comfortable with electrical & PLC Controls
  • Follows safety and food safety protocols
  • Stays on call for emergency repairs of production equipment.
  • Performs additional related duties as assigned.

Required Education, Experience & Skills:

  • Post-Secondary Education in a mechanical trade.
  • 4+ years' experience as a field service technician or field repair technician in a food manufacturing environment.
  • Strong proven skills in automation and troubleshooting.
  • Good judgement and decision-making skills, organizational skills, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Must be able to use hand and power tools.
  • Must be able to work a rotating shift as well as some extended hours and weekends.
  • Welding will be considered an asset.

Work Environment

The employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Position Summary

Field Service Technicians at Diamond Game are first and foremost customer service ambassadors, not only by providing excellent service and support for the products,

What You’ll Do – The Role (Responsibilities)

  • Assist technicians at sites, when required, e.g. deliver parts to site, helping with load bank tests, equipment set up and repairs such as radiator replacements and coolant changes.
  • Upon checking with CSS’s, set up trailers with appropriate Load Bank(s), cable lengths and size. Fill oil/coolant buckets and prepare parts for upcoming jobs. This is performed the afternoon before or early AM prior to scheduled work.
  • Always present a professional image, and clearly understand any directions given by a technician, never putting yours or the technician’s safety at risk.
  • Complete and submit all documentation accurately, completely, and legibly during or immediately following the work assigned.
  • Scheduled appointments are to be promptly kept. Should circumstances beyond your control arise, contact the customer and/or Dispatcher/Scheduler prior to the appointment as a courtesy to our customer and other trades people.
  • Complete calls and account for your work daily utilizing field service software.
  • Maintain fleet of rental generators ensuring preparedness for dispatch at a moment’s notice.
  • Help Generator Rentals division as needed with Generator delivery and running of cables
  • Perform selected field-based services on your own, from time to time. The scope of this work will vary with your knowledge and experience.
  • Upon return of any trailers, check trailers, cables, and Load Bank(s) for any damage. Initiate repairs and report any deficiencies in writing to your manager.
  • Assist Technicians loading and unloading, to get in and out of the shop on a timely basis.
  • The waste oil and coolant areas are to be kept clean and organized. Assist in emptying the old oil, glycol and ensuring old filters are placed into their respective containers. If the old oil/glycol tanks are full, contact disposal company for emptying.
  • You will be using a company vehicle that must be operated in keeping with the Company Policy on “Use of Company Vehicles”. This vehicle is your responsibility when in your care.
  • Ensure that the shop truck is well maintained. Call the person responsible for Fleet Management to inform them of any defective operation or service that is required. Any repairs outside of regular maintenance must be pre-approved.
  • Treat all equipment and tools with care, signing them out accordingly with the Shipper/Receiver or Service Manager. You must inform the appropriate person if any equipment is damaged or missing.
  • All parts are to be signed out and authorized by a parts representative.
  • Adhere to all health and safety rules and recommendations. Never make compromises in a situation that is potentially unsafe for yourself or others.
  • Always wear company subsidized “green patch” work boots, safety glasses, hearing protection, face shields/ masks and recommend to supervisor any other job-related safety/ protective equipment required.
  • The job is not completed until the old oil, glycol and batteries are dumped/placed in their respective containers for proper disposal.
  • Participate in other assigned in-house work duties which may include, for example, additional warehouse cleanup, assisting with inventory etc.
  • Other tasks and responsibilities may be required from time to time consistent with the position of Generator Service Assistant and the job description and duties set out above.

  • Ensure all Zendesk tickets are handled in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for supporting customers world-wide by phone, email, team viewer and on site.
  • Document, maintain and follow-up on all customer inquiries, through the Tracking System database
  • Assist in the debugging, fault finding and root cause analysis of prototype and standard machines - to include system level testing and PLC programs, in-house and at the customer's site.
  • Create training materials and train customers in the use of company products.
  • Installation and commissioning of new equipment
  • Calibration and verification of testers
  • Onsite maintenance/repair of testers
  • Responsible to assist Project Managers on open issues on equipment, in-house and customer site, for F.A.T. (Factory Acceptance Tests) and closing issues for S.A.T. (Site Acceptance Tests)
  • Validation and verification of application performance, on new and existing D&V Products, as required
  • Responsible to process, monitor and follow-up on completion of RMAs, as assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Education and Experience

  • Sc. in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • 5+ years in a technical support role.
  • Outstanding troubleshooting and diagnostic capabilities of electronic, electromechanical, and electrical systems.
  • Excellent customer service skills and relationship building
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of electronic circuit applications
  • Advanced knowledge of computers and programming
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative team environment with engineers, programmers, and sales professionals.
  • Familiarization with automotive electromechanical systems and electronics would be an asset.
  • Must be willing and able to travel (drive and fly) to the USA and Overseas.
  • Must have a valid passport and driver's License.

Job Description

Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking a Field Service Technician to perform in-field warranty and service repairs and adjustment on window and door products. Provide technical feedback on product performance and deficiencies. Communicate with dealers on the status of specific services issues, also serves as a liaison between Insulate and the end-user. This position requires independent judgment, problem solving ability, keen observation skills and effective responsibility assumption. The required problem solving skills demand prompt action in making craftsman-like repairs or product replacements for customer satisfaction. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are essential for success in the position. Internal contacts will be all levels of employees and Territory Managers. External contacts are homeowners, contractors and distributors. This position is for the Sacramento, CA area. This Technician must have glass glazing experience.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES

  • Responsible for completion of all service requests in assigned territory
  • Perform field repairs, glass replacements, operational adjustments and repair
  • Conduct field evaluations and inspections
  • Provide documentation on work performed for each service call
  • Review daily schedule of appointments with Service Scheduler for efficient routing and confirm appointments with customers prior to arrival
  • Work closely with service scheduler providing feedback on complete and incomplete service requests
  • Document requirements for follow-up appointments
  • Assist in the scheduling of follow-up appointments
  • Provide technical feedback
  • Document information gathered in the field regarding operational and design deficiencies
  • Provide recommendations for modifications
  • Operate 1 ton truck in a courteous and safe manner
  • Maintain parts inventory in assigned service vehicle
  • Monitor supply levels of parts and materials, restock as needed
