Responsibilities:
- Perform routine patrols of the property (internal and external) to monitor activities and ensure the security of designated areas.
- Control access to the premises by checking identification, credentials, and authorizations of individuals entering the facility.
- Monitor surveillance equipment and report any suspicious activities or security breaches.
- Respond promptly to alarms and incidents and provide the necessary assistance.
- Maintain detailed reports of daily activities, irregularities, and any incidents that occur during the shift.
- Ensure compliance with security and safety regulations by staff, visitors, and contractors.
- Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency services when necessary
Requirements:
- Open availability for rotational shifts, including days, nights, and weekends.
- Ability to operate technology and wireless communication systems at client-specific sites.
- Must have a valid Ontario Security License .
- Must be eligible to work in Canada up to 40 hours a week.

- Must be at least 18 years old.

About the Role
A casual part time Security Guard position with the Corporate Campus Security team, responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment, while upholding the corporate standards and identity.
Your Responsibilities
- Provide security protection at Magna Headquarters (days, nights, weekends).
- Manage access control and verify visitor authorization.
- Monitor video surveillance, fire, and alarm panels.
- Respond to suspicious activity and conduct regular foot patrols.
- Ensure doors, windows, and gates are secure; notify 911 in emergencies.
- Identify irregularities and notify Facilities management, complete incident reports.
Who we are looking for
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Security Guard.
- Ontario secondary school diploma or equivalent; College Diploma in Police Foundations is an asset.
- Valid Ontario Security Guard Licence and Emergency Level First Aid Certificate.
- Valid Driver's Licence.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently.
- Good command of English (written and spoken) and strong communication/interpersonal skills.
- Flexible availability - willing and able to work 12-hour rotating shifts (e.g., 7am-7pm and 7pm-7am), including days, evenings, nights, weekends, weekdays, and holidays. This is a casual, part-time, on-call role primarily for temporary backfilling.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
