The UI/UX Designer is responsible for designing intuitive, user-centric interfaces for WinAir’s next-generation aviation management software, with a focus on both mobile and desktop web applications. This role plays a critical part in transforming complex aviation workflows into elegant, accessible, and visually cohesive solutions. Working collaboratively with cross-functional teams—including developers, business analysts, and product stakeholders—the UI/UX Designer ensures a consistent and optimized user experience across the platform.
This position requires a hands-on designer with practical experience in user interface and user experience design. The UI/UX Designer reports directly to the Director of Software Development and performs additional duties as required.
Responsibilities
Lead the end-to-end UI/UX design process for mobile and desktop web applications, from discovery to high-fidelity prototyping.
Create wireframes, user flows, mockups, and prototypes using Figma and other design tools.
Collaborate with developers to ensure accurate implementation of designs and a cohesive user experience.
Conduct and synthesize user research to inform design decisions and usability improvements.
Maintains and evolves WinAir’s design system and visual standards to ensure consistency across all user interfaces.
Designs with accessibility (WCAG standards) and responsiveness in mind to support diverse user needs and devices.
Gather and evaluate user feedback, analytics, and requirements to iterate and optimize interfaces.
Participate in product scoping and design reviews.
Contribute to strategic product discussions with a design-first mindset.
Education & Experience
Diploma or Degree in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
3+ years of professional experience in UI/UX design, preferably in a SaaS or enterprise software environment with a strong emphasis on project leadership.
Proven portfolio of real-world design projects across mobile and web platforms is required.
Skills & Aptitudes
Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and best practices.
High proficiency in Figma and other industry-standard design tools.
Effective communication skills with the ability to articulate design decisions to technical and non-technical audiences.
