Position Overview:

I am currently recruiting on behalf of this client to identify an experienced and highly capable Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join their leadership team. The CFO will play a critical role in managing all aspects of financial operations, corporate strategy, and business growth planning. This is a hands-on, senior leadership position that requires both strategic vision and day-to-day operational oversight of the company’s financial infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

Key Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10+ years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, and senior financial leadership roles (Canadian market experience strongly preferred).

  • CPA designation is strongly preferred.

  • Extensive knowledge of GAAP, taxation, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.

  • Experience in small-to-mid-sized private companies, preferably within consulting, professional services, project-based industries, or technical sectors.

What you'll do

  • SaaS Strategy & Leadership

    Capital Strategy & Cash Management
    • Manage cash flow, working capital, and subscription billing operations.
    • Lead lender/investor relations and debt compliance.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years as CFO or senior finance leader in SaaS or high-growth subscription businesses.

  • Deep expertise in ARR/MRR management, SaaS metrics, unit economics, and retention.
  • Proven track record with private equity-backed SaaS companies including exit planning.
  • Strong understanding of quote-to-cash, revenue recognition (ASC 606), and subscription billing.
  • ERP/financial systems experience (NetSuite, Salesforce, SaaS FP&A platforms).
  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred).
