Location: Calgary, Alberta — 100% On-Site
Relocation Support • Meaningful Equity • Build at Founder Speed
About Finofo
Finofo makes global finance effortless. We help companies pay vendors, move money across borders, manage multi-entity cash, and stay compliant — all from one platform.
We’ve raised over $5M, including a $3.3M seed led by Watertower Ventures with Motivate VC and SaaS Ventures. The roadmap is packed and your designs will hit production fast.
The Opportunity
We’re expanding across AP, AR, cards and spend, treasury, and FX. You’ll own design for new modules while leveling up the core product that finance teams depend on every day. You’ll shape workflows that move real money — and that means your work matters.
What You’ll Own
- End-to-end product design for new modules and critical flows: AP automation, AR, global payouts, cards and spend, treasury, reconciliation
- Design system stewardship in Figma: components, tokens, states, docs
- Prototyping and usability testing to drive decisions and reduce rework
- Tight collaboration with engineering to ship on short cycles and measure outcomes
Who You Are
- 4+ years in product design for B2B SaaS (fintech or operations-heavy products is a plus)
- You’ve shipped data-rich workflows with state, roles, and policy complexity
- Figma power user who moves from low-fi to high-fi with clarity
- Strong interaction design and systems thinking — you sweat empty states and edge cases
- Clear communicator who enjoys sitting with engineers to ship
- You are AI curious and becoming a power user of some AI design prototyping tools
- Comfortable with financial concepts like invoices, POs, reconciliation, FX, and cash positioning
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with React-based design systems, Chakra, and components
How We Work
This isn’t a lifestyle job. We’re building a VC-backed company with global ambition. That means intensity.
We’re not training for a casual 5K jog — we’re here to win gold at the Olympics of tech. That takes more than talent. It takes hours, effort, resilience, a winning attitude, and pride in your work. If you want a cushy 9-to-5, this isn’t the place. But if you want meaning, impact, and the chance to do the best work of your life, let’s talk.
That said, we know even Olympians like to have a great time. Our downtown office has great coffee, a games room, and a team that actually likes hanging out together. We celebrate wins, push each other to grow, and make the grind worth it.
Tools We Use
Figma, Linear, PostHog, Webflow, Adobe Creative Suite, AI tools
Dev stack: React + ChakraUI (knowing the constraints makes you a better designer)
What We Offer
- Equity with real upside
- Relocation support to Calgary if you are elsewhere in Canada
- Gorgeous downtown office near the CTrain
- High-trust, high-ownership culture where builders thrive
Interview Process
- Portfolio review: shipped work and decision tradeoffs
- Recruiter chat
- Focused take-home: 3 hours on a realistic Finofo flow
- Live working session with design + engineering
- Founder chat
- Final round and offer
If you like turning complex flows into crisp, production-ready software that finance teams depend on daily, we should talk. Apply with your portfolio and a note on your favorite complex UX you’ve ever shipped.
