**ABOUT THE ROLE**
To create and maintain customer relations, monitor relevant markets, compose tenders, and monitor job progress / costs for the district.
**WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH**
+ Monitor the market and maintain contact with existing customers, general contractors, architects and consultants, seeking projects that require site preparation, grading, gravel, asphalt and sub-trade coordination.
+ Assess projects and accurately and competitively price and estimate work in the various segments including residential, commercial and public works.
+ Manage all aspects of paving contracts including contract administration, subcontractor coordination and payment, job cost tracking, collections, and project close out.
+ Project administration, invoicing, job cost analysis, scheduling and permit applications.
+ Ongoing communications with customers regarding each awarded project.
+ Daily contact with field Superintendents regarding schedules, production, work-in-progress and any special requirements or concerns, ensuring that all work performed is covered by contract or change order.
+ Project management including quantity measurement, progress claims, invoicing and deficiencies. Track work-on-hand, accrue revenues at month-end and oversee successful administration of contract execution.
+ Monitoring our markets, competitors and maintaining positive customer relations.
+ Participate in on-site management of larger projects when necessary.
+ Provide reporting as required, update and maintain Bid 2 Win estimating data.
+ Participate as a member of the Safety Committee for the district.
+ Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.
**WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR**
**Education:** Post-Secondary Education.
**Additional Education Preferred:** N/A
**Field of Study Preferred:** Civil Engineering Technologist or related field.
**Required Work Experience:** Minimum 2 years of estimating experience, including project management and field work.
**Required Training/Certifications:** EIT Certification.
**Required Technical Skills:** Strong computer skills (Email, Word, Excel), familiar with Bid 2 Win and Build2Win systems is an asset.
**Travel Requirements:** 10-20%
**Additional Requirements:**
+ Strong understanding of paving, subgrade, gravel base course and related sub-contractor operations.
+ Must possess marketing and sales / customer development abilities.
+ Strong computer skills (Email, Word, Excel), familiar with Bid 2 Win and Build2Win systems an asset.
+ Must have the ability to develop strong professional relationships with customer representatives and officials from local agencies.
+ Must be self-motivated and have the ability to work without supervision.
+ Excellent communication skills required, both one-on-one and in group settings.
+ Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. PRINCIPALES FONCTIONS
Analyser les appels d’offre et cerner précisément l’étendu des travaux et les disciplines impliquées; - Au besoin, effectuer des visites de chantier, prendre des mesures et des photos;
- Préparer des estimations des coûts des matériaux, de la main-d’œuvre, des équipements, des systèmes et de la sous-traitance pour les projets de construction en fonction des offres de contrat, des devis, des schémas et des spécifications;
- Apprendre et maitriser les plateformes de dépôt de soumission (BSDQ, SEAO et autres portails spécifiques aux clients);
- Respecter les dates et les échéanciers de dépôts de soumission;
- Effectuer la gestion des documents administratifs de soumission, des bordereaux de prix, de la documentation technique à remettre spécifiquement pour l’appel d’offre et rédiger des lettres de soumission;
- Effectuer des suivis avec le client des mandats obtenus jusqu’à la réception du bon de commande, ainsi que pour le service après-vente;
- Préparer les dossiers et coordonner la transmission du dossier au bureau de projet (suivant l’octroi de contrat);
- Assurer une communication optimale et développer des relations d'affaires avec les clients et fournisseurs dans toutes les étapes du processus;
- Examiner et analyser les soumissions des mandats non-obtenus.
- DEC en génie civil, génie mécanique, mécanique du bâtiment, instrumentation et contrôle, en maintenance industrielle, comptabilité et gestion ou DEP en plomberie ou dans une formation connexe et aisance avec les chiffres;
- Expérience pertinente en contrôle de coûts de projet, en estimation, en plomberie ou en administration dans le domaine de la construction;
- ASP Construction (atout);
- Excellente maîtrise de l’informatique et aisance dans l'apprentissage de nouveaux logiciels;
- Bonne connaissance de l’anglais, parlé et écrit, bilingue (un atout);
- Travail d’équipe, partage d’expérience et bonne communication.
