Join our Tim Hortons team at Kelowna International Airport as a Cashier and deliver fast, friendly service to travelers on the go! 

This position is located in a secure airport environment and a Restricted Area Identification Card (RAIC) is required. All candidates must be legally authorised to work in Canada and must be able to provide the necessary government-issued documentation required for airport security clearance. Here are a few things you can expect as a Food Service Associate:
  • Greet guests in a courteous and friendly manner
  • Process orders and enter them accurately into the POS system
  • Receive payment from the customer and process change
  • Responsible for set-up, regular maintenance, cleaning, and break-down of any machinery and equipment
  • Complete opening, on-going, and closing checklists as required
  • Return all items used during your shift to the proper place, clean and organize all work and storage areas (including all coolers and refrigerators), empty and re-line all trash containers
  • Perform general and specific cleaning tasks using standard cleaning products as assigned by supervisor to adhere to health standards
Skills & Other Requirements
  • Minimum six months experience working in food service environment preferred.
  • High school diploma preferred.
  • Ability to read, speak, and understand the English language in order to communicate with guests and take orders.
  • Experience in dealing with problems involving customer service.
  • Ability to remember, recite, and promote the variety of menu items.
  • Ability to operate a keyboard & point of sale procedures to pre-check an order & close out a check.
  • Ability to stand and work in confined spaces for long period of time.

WHAT’S THE JOB?
Reporting to the District Manager the Restaurant Manager is responsible for managing restaurant operations at our franchise owned Tim Hortons restaurant. This includes overseeing Customer Service Team Members, facilities, and equipment to ensure that our high standards around people, product, cleanliness, and exceptional customer service are consistently met. General Restaurant Manager, also manages Bakery Team Members, Shift Leaders, Shift Supervisors, and Shift Managers.

Operational Leadership

  • Oversee all day-to-day operations of the restaurant, ensuring efficient workflow, adherence to company standards, and a smooth guest experience.
  • Manage opening and closing procedures, cash handling, inventory control, and compliance with food safety protocols.
  • Ensure proper functioning and maintenance of restaurant equipment and facilities, reporting issues and coordinating repairs as necessary.

Team Management

  • Lead, coach, and support all restaurant staff including Customer Service Team Members, Bakers, Shift Leaders, Shift Supervisors, and Shift Managers.
  • Create and manage work schedules to ensure adequate staffing levels during peak and non-peak hours.
  • Recruit, train, and onboard new team members while supporting the ongoing development of existing staff.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, provide regular feedback, and implement corrective actions when necessary to uphold performance standards.

Customer Service Excellence

  • Foster a guest-focused culture that ensures an exceptional and consistent customer experience.
  • Handle escalated customer concerns or complaints with professionalism and a solutions-oriented mindset.
  • Monitor speed of service, accuracy of orders, and overall guest satisfaction, making improvements where needed.

Financial Performance

  • Achieve sales targets and manage controllable expenses such as labor, food cost, and supplies.
  • Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports to identify opportunities for growth and operational improvement.
  • Implement cost-control strategies without compromising service quality or brand standards.

Health & Safety Compliance

  • Ensure all employees follow Tim Hortons’ health, safety, and cleanliness standards.
  • Conduct regular audits and training to maintain a clean, safe, and compliant restaurant environment.
  • Maintain required documentation for inspections and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • High school diploma or GED (must be 18 years of age or older)
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a food service management role
  • ServSafe Manager Certification  required
  • Must be Tim Hortons Certified  with in-depth knowledge of Tim Hortons products, standards, and operating procedures
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate teams, delegate tasks effectively, and manage conflict with professionalism
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills
  • Action-oriented with a focus on achieving results and continuous improvement

WHAT'S THE JOB?

We are hiring a Baker to work at our Tim Hortons located at the University of PEI.  With no Drive-Through, we operate Monday-Friday; no evenings or weekends! This role will provide an exceptional experience, going above and beyond for our guests and creating a safe and fun working environment for our staff. 

As a Baker , you will delight our clients by preparing and baking goods to the highest standards of Tim Hortons.

Your work will include:

  • Preparing and baking goods 
  • Restocking pastry shelves and maintaining a sufficient and fresh supply of baked goods
  • Ensuring consistent quality standard in over-all food preparation as per clients’ requirements including consideration to special dietary constraints
  • Be able to get products from walk-in freezers, operate oven & decorate donuts and other products according to standards.
  • Operate oven/egg cooker and prepare baked products as assigned (including muffins, donuts, breads, eggs, meats etc …)
  • Prepare toppings, ingredients and required products for all baked good / food items.
  • Complying with food hygiene regulations in accordance with Food Safety Act
  • Complete Tim Horton training modules
  • Cleaning, washing, and sanitizing equipment and over-all work areas
  • Responsible for cash handling and cash register
  • Provide exceptional customer service at all times, supporting an environment that strives to create exceptional culinary experiences
Qualifications

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • Previous experience working in a Tim Horton's or another fast paced food service establishment
  • Able to communicate well in written and verbal English
  • Experience as a baker or other food preparation environment
  • Experience as a cashier and cash handling
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs; working in cold environments (ie fridge / freezer)
  • FoodSafe Level I is a minimum. SafeCheck advanced food safety certification or HACCP certification is an asset.

WHAT'S THE JOB?

  • Answer questions about food, beverages, wine and other catering functions and services when necessary

  • Other duties as assigned or required
Qualifications

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • No experience is necessary, although previous food service experience is preferred. We will train you.
  • You need to be able to communicate clearly and effectively in English.
  • Basic computer skills are needed for POS system and payroll system.
  • You possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
  • You have the ability to solve practical problems and deal with variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • You can maintain a positive and friendly demeanor toward the residents and your co-workers.
