Your Role

As our HR Generalist , you will play a central role in executing and refining core HR processes across multiple locations. Reporting directly to the Sr. Manager of Talent Acquisition, you’ll own responsibilities from onboarding and HRIS administration to compliance and internal support. This isn’t a junior position, it’s designed for someone who’s ready to own outcomes and elevate the employee experience at every stage.

What You'll Do

Onboarding & Employee Experience

  • Own full-cycle onboarding workflows in BambooHR, ensuring a seamless transition for all new hires.
  • Partner with hiring managers to coordinate communications and setup.
  • Be the first point of contact for new employees with questions about policies, documents, and expectations.

HR Systems & Administration

  • Manage and maintain accurate employee records across BC and Alaska jurisdictions.
  • Administer BambooHR updates, reporting, and data integrity with care and accuracy.
  • Oversee benefit enrollment coordination and related documentation.

Performance Management

  • Drive performance review cycle execution and support managers through BambooHR tools.
  • Ensure timely tracking of goals, feedback, and review completions.

Compliance & Documentation

  • Maintain compliance with regional employment regulations through documentation and policy enforcement.
  • Manage termination records, policy acknowledgments, and internal audit preparation.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Talent Acquisition, Payroll, and Operations to support shared objectives.

Job Summary

The Human Resources Generalist will oversee the full spectrum of HR functions for our Montreal operations. This role is responsible for a broad range of HR functions including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, compliance, and HR policy implementation. The incumbent will play a key role in building an engaged, high-performing workforce while supporting leaders and employees across the business. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all core HR activities including recruitment, compensation and benefits, performance management, employee relations, retention, and engagement for Montreal operations.
  • Partner with the Human Resources team to design and implement strategies that drive effectiveness, efficiency, and a positive employee experience across Canada.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records.
  • Prepare HR reports and analytics as required by management.
  • Oversee the employee lifecycle from new hires, onboarding, and terminations, while updating relevant documents and procedures such as RAIC, uniform, benefits, parking pass, payroll, etc.

  • Manage CNESST claims and return-to-work processes.

Qualifications Required

  • Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in Human Resources Management or a related discipline
  • 5+ years of HR generalist experience in a sizable, fast-paced organization; experience in hospitality or travel is an asset
  • Fully Bilingual French/English (written & spoken)
  • Strong knowledge of Quebec labour laws and compliance regulations
  • Experience interpreting HR policies, procedures, and practices
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced team environment while managing multiple priorities meeting tight deadlines
  • Proactive, results-oriented mindset with a high level of accountability
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills (verbal, written and interpersonal)

The HR Generalist will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the HR department. This role provides direct HR advisory and consulting services in all HR areas such as job planning, design and evaluation/compensation, recruitment, and selection. Key Responsibilities
  • Support a large group of predominantly technical employees and contractors, including engineers, designers, project, and discipline managers locally in Calgary, as well in our offices abroad. 
  • Provide a variety of human resource services, including consulting with employees and managers regarding a variety of inquiries such as time and cost, compensation, benefits, training and development, records management, succession planning, employee relations, policy writing and interpretation.
  • Develop solutions by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information to recommend a course of action.

  • Generate and track probationary reviews and performance evaluations.

  • Provide a high degree of customer service, responding thoroughly to manager, employee and contractor inquiries and follow up where needed.
  • Understand legislative requirements such as Human Rights, and the Alberta Employment Standards Act, and interpret individual agreements and policies to advise managers, employees and contractors. Bonus points if you have experience with US, Mexico and/or Australian legislation. 
  • Provide guidance, support and backup to the HR Administrator. 
  • Support employee mobility internationally by managing the immigration requirements and process.

  • BA Human Resources Management or BComm is an asset.
  • CPHR designation is an asset.
  • Knowledge of international immigration is an asset. 
  • Knowledge of Australian, US, and Mexican employment legislation is an asset.
  • Experience managing WCB and Professional Engineering enrolment is an asset.
  • Experience with more than one HRIS system and/or ability to learn our proprietary software.

Alberici is recruiting two HR Generalists to join our growing team. This position will share time worked between the Burlington, Ontario office, and on-site at designated project site(s) within the greater Toronto area.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a trusted advisor, with honesty and integrity, and as the first point of contact for employee relations inquiries and questions
  • Provide guidance and coaching to department managers related to HR, employee relations and life cycle issues from workforce planning, performance management and terminations
  • Provide subject matter expertise related to employment laws and regulations, i.e. ESA, Human Rights Code, etc.
  • Responds to HR matters with a sense of urgency, high energy and enthusiasm, while supporting timely and good quality decision making
  • Serve as the primary onsite HR contact at designated project site(s), supporting staff and leaders with all HR matters
  • Partner with operational leaders and lead HR processes related to employee relations, such as conflict resolution and conducting investigations
  • Support benefits and the retirement plan administration processes, maintain provider/broker relationships, and manage renewal, research and maintenance
  • Provide various HR administrative support of sensitive and confidential information; this may include preparing offer letters, contractor agreements, project assignment agreements, and managing immigration processes
  • Lead development and continuous improvement of HR metrics, programs and policies
  • Track and report various HR metrics required for compliance reporting, workforce planning, or otherwise
  • Lead the Wellness & Mental Health program for ACL, including developing programming, communications and continuous improvement; this may include Reward and Recognition programs, Employee Bi-Annual Employee Survey, and social events
  • Support and lead other HR programs and initiatives as required; this may include supporting other HR team members, recruitment, learning and development, training or otherwise
  • Act as a core team member of the HR team, providing support and guidance to other HR team members, creating a collaborative and productive team environment
  • Contribute positively to Alberici’s culture, values, and safe environment

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, Communications or related field is required
  • Minimum of 4 years Human Resources experience, with a focus on benefits and compensation management and/or employee relations, including employment legislation, conflict resolution and conducting investigations.
  • Strong knowledge and demonstrated experience with Ontario employment laws is required
  • Certified Human Resources Professional/Leader preferred
  • Experience with HRIS systems is preferred
  • Ability to travel within the greater Toronto area; Ontario driver’s license and/or appropriate mode of transportation to project sites required

Reporting to the Sr Human Resources Business Partner - Corporate, we are hiring a Human Resources Generalist to join our team. As our new HR Generalist, you will play a critical role in supporting both our manufacturing operations and corporate office teams, acting as a go-to resource for employees and people leaders.

In this role, you will provide hands-on HR support across the full employee lifecycle—from onboarding and employee relations to talent development and performance management. You will coach managers, contribute to a positive and productive work environment, and ensure the consistent application of HR policies and processes. This is a full-time, hybrid position based in Brampton, Ontario, with three days per week on-site at our facility and two days remote.

  • Implement and uphold HR policies. You will support the consistent application of HR policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with business needs, internal equity, and employment legislation.   • Support hiring and onboarding. You will partner with internal leaders and our recruitment provider to coordinate hiring activities, including job descriptions, interview logistics, and background checks. You will lead onboarding and orientation, ensuring a smooth start for new employees. You will also oversee new hire and exit surveys and share findings to improve retention and engagement.

Key Responsibilities

HR Operations & Compliance

  • Serve as the first point of contact for HR related inquiries from employees, managers, and stakeholders.

  • Manage onboarding and orientation processes to ensure a positive employee experience.
  • Facilitate and support training, workshops, and professional development initiatives.

Engagement, Culture & Policy
